이제 드디어 이스탄불로 간다.
Now, I am going to long-awaited Istanbul.
1. 앙카라에서 이스탄불까지는 기차로 약 4시간반 걸린다. 고속열차다.
1. It takes about 4 hours to travel by express train from Ankara to Istanbul.
2. 마침 휴가를 얻어 앙카라에 온 Mr. Berker 를 역에서 만났다. 이 분에 대해서는 며칠전 소개해드린 바와 같다.
2. I met Mr. Berker at Ankara station who got vacation leave and came to the station.
I introduced Mr. Berker in pilgrim's diary several days ago.
3. 암에 걸려서 생명을 잃고 투병해온 그의 가족이야기를 다시한번 들었다.
필자는 그에게 일부러 와주셔서 감사하다는 말씀을 드리면서,
흑해연안의 체르노빌 방사능 피해사례를 좀더 알 수 있으면 좋겠다는 이야기도 나누었다.
3. Again, I listened to his detailed story about the cancer ordeal of his family.
I gave him my thanks, and asked him to let me know about Chernobyl radiation disaster at coastal areas of Black Sea.
4. 필자들의 행색을 수싱해 하던 철도경찰이 사연을 알고는 함께 셀피.
4. The police was suspicious of my behavior. After my explanation, they smiled. I took a selfie with them.

17. 보스포러스해협이 내려다보는 유럽쪽 연안인 이곳에서 지나가는 배들을 감상한다. 이 커다란 화물선은 흑해바다에서 지중해로 가고 있다.
17. I looked at the ships passing Bosphorus Strait from the European side of the strait.
This large freighter is going from Black Sea to Mediterranean Sea.
18. 이스탄불과 보스포러스해협이 이루는 지형지세의 앙상블은 절묘한 데가 있다.
북측 흑해바다에서 서서히 지중해쪽으로 내려오는 큰 물줄기에 역류하듯이 서쪽에서 내려오는 강물이 있고, 세 개의 산줄기이자 구릉지 줄기가 물길을 휘감듯이 혹은 거스르듯이 자리잡고 있다.
특히 위 지도에서 '이스탄불'이라는 글자가 있는 부분이 역사의 중심이 되는 지구가 있는 곳이다. 성소피아성당과 주요궁전도 이곳 끝자락에 있다.
이런 3개의 산줄기와 2개이상의 물줄기가 어우러져 있는 지형지세는 한반도 내부에서도 곧잘 볼 수 있는데 이를 흔히 풍수용어로 '산태극 수태극'의 형국이라고 한다.
경주도 개성도 한양도 어느 정도 이런 형국이다.
이스탄불은 바닷물을 상대로 하는 스케일 큰 형국이라고 할까. 지구촌에 이런 곳은 드물 터이다.
18. The geographic harmony of Istanbul and Bosphorus Strait is fantastic.
The main current is flowing out from Black Sea to Mediterranean.
A tributary is joining main current from the West as if it flows backwards.
Three land masses run toward main point of Istanbul with circular trace.
The point where the characters 'Istanbul' are located on the map is the historical center of the earth.
This kind of terrain where three land masses and two water-flows meet together is commonly seen in Korean peninsula.
This point is called 'Best earth and best water."
Kyeongju and Hanyang are known to have this famous terrain.
Istanbul has a good location which can command sea and land together in terms of geomantic principles.
There are few locations which is similar to Istanbul.

오스만투르크의 지배력은 유라시아 항해의 길목인 이 해협을 통제하는 것이 한 몫 했을 터.
그 힘이 느껴지는 장면이다.

I was surprised and delighted at the same time. I found out that her mother was an enthusiastic pan of K-Drama.

필자가 오랫동안 참여하고 있는 '구조론'동호회에서 온라인으로만 필자를 알고 지내던 '직업환경의학'분야에 종사하고 있는 서동윤 의사선생님이다.
마핌 자신의 휴가일정이 이스탄불이어서 자연스레 만날 약속을 했었다.
많은 이야기를 나누었다.
드디어 내일이 정교회 바르쏠로뮤 총대주교님을 뵙는 날이다.
48. Today I met a gentleman of distinction. His name was Seo Dong Yoon. I have known him on line, at the 'Structurism Club' which I have participated for a long time. He was a medical doctor who was working at the field of Environmental Medication. He was on vacation at Istanbul, and we met at restaurant. We had a long conversation.
At last, tomorrow is the day when we meet Archbishop Bartholomew of Orthodox Church.
