1. 이제 4개월만의 순례 재개시를 한다.
중앙아시아를 거쳐 이스탄불에서 정교회 바르톨로메오스성하를 뵙고난 후 에게해 뱃길을 거쳐 아테네까지 갔던 게 지난 8월중순.
이제 그 아테네에서 다시 걷는다. 이젠 바티칸까지 순전히 걸어서만 갈 것이다. 달라이라마성하를 뵐 때까지 물을 건널 때외에는 모두 걸어서 5천km를 갔듯이.
1. I restarted my pilgrimage in 4 months. In August, I traveled through Central Asia and went to Istanbul where I met Patriarch Bartholomew. Afterwards, I went to Athens by ship. From now on, I am going to walk from Athens to Vatican. I already walked 5,000 km except waterway in order to meet Dalai Lama.

3. 아테네에 도착한 23일 저녁시간에 중심가에 나왔다.

6. 그리스의회 앞 Syntagma 광장에서 시민들이 버스킹(길거리공연)을 하고 있다. 광장문화의 시원지 답다.
6. At Syntagma Square which is located in front of Greek Parliament, people were performing busking. It is evident that Greece is the origin of square culture.
7. 첫날 24일은 아테네 시내의 명승지를 찾아보기로 했다. 걷는 거리로는 5.4 km. 워밍업으로는 안성맞춤이다.
출발지인 숙소는 아테네역 인근의 Socrates Hotel. 이름은 거창하지만 중급 호텔이다. 그것도 다행히 세일가격에 예약했다. 4박에 13만원.
7. On the first day, I decided to walk 5.4 km and look around tourist attractions. It will be my proper warming-up. The starting point is my shelter, Socrates Hotel near Athens station. The name of hotel sounds great, but it is a medium-level hotel. I paid 130,000 won for 4 nights, which was sale price.

8. Firstly, I visited Greece Archaeology Museum.

16. In intermission after hard study of archaeology, I enjoyed ice cream and Greek coffee which is followed by sweet dessert at cafe of museum square. This taste must have been inherited from ancient Greece.
17. 그러고 보니 어제 지하철역에서 본 의자의 디자인이 생각났다. 고대인 유적의 조상을 본뜬 컨셉 같다.
17. I was reminded of the design of chairs which I saw at subway station yesterday. The concept of the design looked like the old Greek relics.

18. I found the city hall (building with flag), and tried to find materials of urban planning. But it was not open to civilians. I will try other places tomorrow.

29. I went to large street, and took a selfie with Hadrianus Gate of Triumph. The name comes from significant Roman Emperor. I absorbed the emperor's energy and stored it.

2017년 봄 출발때 역사문화학자인 조승래교수는 생명탈핵실크로드의 의의를 그리스 스토아학파의 '국민국가를 넘어선 세계시민'의 정신과 맥락을 같이 한다고 설파하였다.

43. According to documents, stoa means pillar of public building. In the brisk era of Greek philosophy, people used to make eloquencies and debate academic theories at places like this picture. The stoic school thought that all creatures of universe are homegeneous and are inter-related with each other. With one step further, the stoic school thought that God, nature, destiny, and providence are all synonyms. The difference is that some work as reactor, and some work as receiver. The stoic people said sometimes that humans are citizens of cosmopolis, the universe. In spring of 2017, Professor Cho Seunglae whose major was cultural history said that the significance of New Silk Road movement for Life & No-nuke lies in the same context of Greek stoicism which insisted that world citizenship beyond nationalism was important. 이 사진을 보니 인도에서 본 2500년전 불교사원 사르나트가 연상된다. 그러고 보니 공자님도 그때쯤이다. 당시에 지구촌에는 무슨 일이 일어난 것일까? 인류의 DNA를 자극하는 뭔가의 우주적 임팩트가 있었던 것일까?

This picture reminds me of the Buddhist Temple Sarnat which was built 2500 years ago in India. Confucius lived in the same era. What happened to the Earth at the time? Was there a cosmic impact to stimulate the human DNA?
