볼로스는 예사항구가 아니다.
1. Today I am free from the tight schedule. In Volos I am resting on the last day in 2019. Volos is an unusual harbor city.

4. 어느 오래된 카페에 들렀는데 좌석이 없다고 해서 필자가 밖의 테이블에서 마시겠다고 하니 나그네에게 커피를 무료로 대접한다.
4. Walking through the street. I dropped in an old Cafe. Unfortunately all seats are taken.
I said ' outdoor table is okay for me'. Then barista gave me (stranger) a free coffee. It's a fortunate day.

10. 전환점이 된 시기는 1881년쯤이다. 큰 변화가 이 항구에 일어났다.

14. 옛기록중에 1886년 경 작성된, 볼로스항구가 포함된 Thessaly지방의 철도계획도가 있다. 프랑스어로 작성된.
지도의 정보 그리고 계획도 작성의 기술적 방식 등 여러모로 음미할만한 자료다.
14. An old book around 1886 written in French shows the construction map of railroad in Thessaly region including Volos harbor. This map is a valuable record which provide us informations of drawing method of construction sketch.

37. 어느 간판에 수학과 과학의 기호들도 가득찬 그리스문자가 보인다. 알파(α), 베타(β), 감마(γ), 델타(Δ), 세타(θ), 뮤(μ), 시그마(Σ), 파이(π), 오메가(Ω/ω).
그리스는 문자만 하더라도 인류문명에 기여해온 바 크다.
37. Grease characters such as alpa, beta, gamma, delta, theta, mu, sigma, pi, omega widely used in math and science books as a symbol filled on a sign board of a store.
38. 점심은 비프 스테이크. 푸짐하게 먹었는데도 값은 10유로.
38. I ate a beef steak for lunch. It's only 10Euro, but a hearty meal.
39. 다시 항구로 가서 걷는다. 이런 아담한 보트도 눈에 뜨인다.
39. Go back to the port and walk. This kind of a cosy small boat catches my eye.
40. 보로스 여객선 터미널로 간다. 원래 이런 배를 타고 바다를 가로질러 이 곳에 왔어야 했다.
