1. 오늘의 표지사진.
순례일지의 글을 URL로 소개하면 맨앞에 놓인 사진이 그 글을 상징하는 것처럼 나와서 이제부터는 '표지사진'을 두기로 했다.
1. Today's cover photo.
When I introduce the article of the pilgrimage diary as URL, the picture of the front appears to symbolize the article. From now on I am going to put a cover photo.
2. 새해들어 사흘연속의 쾌청한 날씨다.
우기의 하늘임에도 나그네를 도와준다.
섬이 많은 그리스는 국토면적이 남한보다 약간 클 뿐인데도 인구는 1075만으로서 1/5수준이다. 1000만 넘은지 30년 지났는데도 그대로다.
그리고 산악지형임을 감안해도 인구밀도가 낮다. 생각해보면 우리가 덩치 큰 나라들에 둘러싸여서 그렇지 인구가 많은 나라에 속한다.
It's been a nice clear day for the first three days in the New Year.
It is very good for a traveler in this rainy season.
The land area of Greece with many islands is slightly larger than that of South Korea, but its population is 10.75 million; a fifth of the South Korea population. .Even though it has been over 10 million during the last 30 years, there was almost no change in population. Considering that Greece is mountainous terrain, the population density is low.
South Korea is a population-rich country of 51 million. But South Korea looks like a small country surrounded by big countries, China, Russia, and Japan.
3. 출발지로 가는 Larisa역에서 만난 그리스 젊은이들. 기차를 기다리는 짧은 시간에 순례에 대해 상세히 물어본다.
I met young Greece people at the Larisa railway station. Today's starting point was Kypseli simple station where I went to by train. They asked me in details about my walking pilgrimage for a short time waiting for the train.
4. 어제의 도착지이자 오늘의 출발지인 Kypseli 간이역에 내려서 출발이다.
26km의 꽤 장거리다. 출발시간 10시04분.
I got off Kypseli simple station, which is yesterday's destination and today's departing place. I departed at 10; 40 am. Today I am going to walk 26km, quite a long distance.
5. 멀리 유명한 Ossa산이 보인다.
해발 1978미터. 높이는 낮지만 일본의 후지산을 연상케 하는 장면이다.

I can see the famous Ossa mountain in the distance. It is 1978m above the sea level. It reminds me mountain Fuji in Japan.

6. 태양광이 도처에 보인다.
The solar panels are here and there.
7. 큰 길을 만나서 본격적으로 걷는다.
I come to a main road and walk for today's destination.
8. 어제본 군부대가 생각난다. 사진은 찍지 않았었다.
그리스는 6.25때 5번째로 많은 군인을 보내준 우방국이다.

10. 쉬는 시간에 뉴스를 보고 있는데 호주의 산불 소식이 떴다. 사진은 인공위성에서 찍은 호주 산불 모습. 엄청난 규모다.
During taking a rest, I looked over world news. Australia's forest fires are reported. The picture is a wildfire taken on a satellite. It's a huge scale.
11. 아마존 아프리카도 그렇고 지구 곳곳이 신음하고 있다. 이런 큰 불은 기후위기에도 직격탄이다.
지구곳곳의 농업현장을 관찰해온 정호진 선생에 의하면 제3세계의 농촌현장에서는 불을 질러 농사짓는 방식이 많아서 큰 일이라고 탄식한다. 불을 지르면 일시적으로 경작조건이 좋아질지 모르나 생물들이 모두 사망하여서 생태계가 파괴되는데 따르는 후유증이 클 뿐 아니라 이런 대형산불이 빈번히 발생할 수밖에 없다는 것. 정부가 통제하고 있는 나라도 있지만 현장은 별개라는 것.
대책이 있어야한다.
Amazon and Africa as well as the rest of the world are groaning. Big fire like this is a direct hit in the global climate crisis.
According to Mr Chung Ho-jin who has observed agricultural sites all over the world, he lamented that there are many rural areas of burning and farming in the 3rd world. If you set fire, the conditions for cultivation may improve temporarily. Not only there is a great after effect of the destruction of the ecosystem, but also there are frequent large forest fires.
Some countries are controlled by the government, but the field is a sepatete world. Special measures are urgently needed.
12. 수확한 감자들. 덩어리가 매우 커서 무우 만하다.
Harvested potatoes. They are as big as radishs.
13. 걷는 동안 계속해서 Ossa산이 보인다.
During the walking I enjoyed the views of mountain Ossa.
14. 그 왼쪽으로는 멀리 올림푸스산이 보인다. 필자는 모레쯤이면 두개의 산 사이를 지나서 에게해쪽으로 넘어갈 것이다.

15. 길가의 개울이 살짝 얼었다. 어제밤에 영하로 내려갔던 모양이다.
The stream on the roadside froze slightly. It must have gone below zero last night.

17. 마침 오늘의 표지사진 모델이 된 장면이 나왔다. 태양광단지와 함께 보이는 Ossa산의 눈덮힌 모습.
마치 기후위기는 태양광이 지켜줄 것이라는 폼이다.
It is just the scene, the cover photo of today's diary.
The snow covered view of mountain Ossa with the solar complex. It is as if the climate crisis will be protected by the solar energy.
18. 이 사진도 그럴싸 하다. 공장지붕에 얹힌 태양광패널들과 멀리 눈덮힌 산.
This is also a good picture: the solar panels on the factory roof and snow covered mountain.
19. 이 주택과 아래 사진의 주택은 태양광을 남쪽과 서쪽 모두 알뜰하게 얹혀져 있다.
The houses in this photo and the below photo are covered with solar panels in south and west side roofs.
20. 태양광을 설치하려면 이런 정도는 되어야 한다. 필자의 글에서 소개된 독일 하멜른시의 사례가 생각난다.

21. 하루를 마감하는 시간이 다가오고 있다. 한시간이면 목적지에 도착한다. 인구 17만의 라리사는 14만 볼로스와 비슷하지만 테살리아주의 주도이자 교통의 요충지다. 사진은 대형마트.
The closing time of today's walking is comming to an end. I reach today's destination in an hour.
Larisa with population 170,000 is bigger city than Volos with 140,000. It is the capital of Thessalia and the hub of traffic.
