Veles ~ Katlanovo

1. 오늘은 산을 넘는 26km다. 유럽에 온 이래 가장 험난해보이는 코스다.
Today, it is 26 kilometers across the mountain. It is the toughest course since I came to Europe.
2. 아침일찍 숙소를 출발.
I leave the quarters early in the morning.
3. 시내중심의 동상앞에서. 마케도니아어로만 표기되어 있어서 신원확인은 못했다.

7. 영하의 날씨에 난방들을 하느라 연기가 뿌옇다.
The smoke is cloudy because of the heating in subzero weather.

9. 시가지를 벗어나는 곳에서 관심을 보여준 시민들과 함께.

11. 한두시간쯤 걸었을까, 산으로 올라가는 길목에서 멋진 호수를 만난다.
I walked for about an hour or two, and I met a wonderful lake on the way up to the mountain.

14. 포도를 재배하는 와이너리가 있고 거기를 자전거로 투어하는 코스가 호수주변에 있다.
There is a winery growing grapes and a bicycle touring course is around the lake.

16. 와이너리로 가득한 완만한 능선을 올라간다.
I climb a gentle ridge full of wineries.
17.. 한시간쯤 경사도 5%~10%의 길을 올라가니 해발고도 350미터쯤에서 호수가 내려다 보인다.
About an hour,I walked the slope of 5%- 10%, so the lake looks down at 350 meters above sea level.

19. 이런 완만한 고개이자 능선길이 이어진다. 대략 고도420미터다.
This gentle head and ridgeway leads. It is about 420 meters high.

기후위기시대에는 보행이 중요하다. 걸어서 대중교통을 쉽게 이용할 수 있으면 자동차가 필요없다.
특히 우리나라와 같이 구릉지가 많은 나라는 보행길이 중요하다.
기후위기시대의 또하나의 문법이다.
원래 인간의 몸은 걸을 때 편하다.
직립보행 아닌가. 안전한 보행길은 인권문제이기도 하다. 아이나 노인 그리고 모든 이에게.
보행에게 권력을 주어야 한다. 자동차가 아니라.
안전하고 쾌적한 길을 넘어서 '즐거운 길'이라면 금상첨화다. 이런 완만한 능선숲길은 시야도 트여서 즐겁다.
'걷고 싶은 길'을 도시에도 많이 만들자.
Walking is important in the climate crisis. If you can easily use public transportation in a brief walking distance, you do not need a car.
In particular, walking is important in countries with many hills like Korea.
It is another grammar in the climate crisis era.
The human body is comfortable when walking.
It is a matter of human rights to walk safely.
To children, old men, and everyone, give power to the walkers, not the cars.
If you are on a 'pleasant road' beyond a safe and smooth road, it is better than any other. This smooth ridgeway in forest with wide view is a pleasant way.
Let's make a lot of "Walking Ways" in cities.

23. 산들이 둥글한 게 지리산이나 소백산 어디를 걷는 느낌이다.
The mountains are round, and I feel like walking somewhere in Jirisan or Sobaeksan in Korea.
24. 원래 찻길이어서 이따금 차가 오는데 이분은 나그네가 신기한지 일부러 차를 세웠다.
필자의 밀집모자가 겨울철에 어울리지 않는다고 지적하는 분이 있는데, 오늘같이 따가운 겨울철 햇빛과 머리에서 올라오는 열기를 동시에 다스리려면 이만한 모자가 없다.

이제 대장정을 마칠 무렵이다.
I can see the stone wall of the arched design.
It’s time to finish the hard walking road.
33. 목적지 Katlanovo 마을에 도착하니 Veles의 숙소 Epicentrum Motel 사장이 자신의 차에 필자의 짐을 싣고 기다린다. 필자를 태워 20km앞의 Scopje에 있는 숙소에 데려다 주기 위해서다. 물론 필자가 제값 주고 부탁한 것.
When I arrive at the village of Katlanovo, the president of the quarters of Veles, Epicentrum Motel, waits for me with my baggage in his car. He takes me to a quarters in Scopje 20km ahead. Of course, I paid my price.
34. 그는 친절하게도 이 동네가 약수가 나오는 온천명소라고 하면서 잠시 차를 몰고 안내해준다. 길가의 수도는 늘 물이 나오고 있는데 마셔보니 따뜻하다. 눈치료에도 효험이 있다는 설명이다.
He kindly tells me that this neighborhood is a well-known hot spring spot and drives for a while.
The water is always coming out of the faucet at roadside, but it’s warm.
It is said that eye therapy is also effective.

37. 덕분에 이 나라의 수도 Scopje 숙소에 짐과 함께 편하게 왔다.
중심지 지도를 들여다 보고 저렴한 곳을 찾아 예약했었지만 방에서 보이는 야경이 아주 좋다.
오늘까지 국경으로부터 6일 연속 걸었다. 내일은 휴식이다.
Thanks to this man, I came to the quarters in Scopje, the capital of the country, in comfort with my baggage.
I looked at the map of the center and made a reservation for a cheap place, but the night view in the room is very good.
I walked from the border for six days in a row until today, and tomorrow I am going to take a break.
