1. 양떼들을 마주친 장면
1. I met a herd of sheep.
2. 국경까지 나흘거리의 첫날이다. 이 구간은 60km 전방에 숙소가 있어서 첫 구간을 마친 후에는 교통편으로 다시 돌아와야 한다.
2. Today is the first day of 4-days' course up to the border. In this course, the shelter is 60 km ahead and I have to come back to the starting point by transportation.

7. 며칠전부터 들리는 우한의 폐렴소식에 우울하다. 이번 전염병은 예사롭지 않다. 한국 그리고 제주도도 걱정이다. 필자가 있는 이 지역은 여행객이 오지 않는 곳이다. 당분간 관광지와는 거리가 먼 곳을 걸을 예정이므로 염려가 적은 편이다.
7. I felt gloomy at the news of pneumonia in Woohan of China. This epidemic seems not to be common. I was worried about Korean peninsula including Jejoo. This region I am walking in, is not a tourist attraction. For the time being, I would walk the region, which is far away from tourist visiting. Therefore, I am not worried that much.
8. 후쿠시마 사고, 호주 산불도 그렇고 지구 차원의 재난이 연속적으로 일어나고 있다. 인류는 어디로 가고 있는가.
8. We witness continuous happending of global disasters such as nuclear accident in Fukushima, and forest fire in Austrailia. Where are the humans headed?
9. 퇴락한 빈집이 모인다. 고립해서는 살지 못 하는게 인간이다.
9. This empty house falls into decay. It is characteristics of the humans that people live together without isolation.

12. 호텔과 스파를 겸한 고급레스토랑이 다. 식당이라곤 이곳밖에 없어서 길에서 멀리 떨어져 있음에도 일부러 왕복 2km의 길을 걸었다.
12. This is a high-ranking restaurant which has both hotel and spa. This is the only restaurant in this area, and it is far from the road. I have walked 2 km to come to this restaurant.

13. I ordered chicken stew which was named after the name of this restaurant.

15. I crossed this kind of valley several times.

21. 왼쪽벽면을 잡고 한사람 정도 겨우 건널 여유가 있다. 건너와서 찍고 보니 꽤 오래된 아치교다.
21. There was a space which was so narrow that only one person could pass by grasping the wall in the left-hand side.

23. 이곳에서 간식을 먹으며 쉰다. 해발 500미터가 넘는다.
23. I ate snack and had rest at this place. The altitude was over 500 meters.
24. 다시 길을 걷는데 양떼를 마주친다.
24. I started to walk again, and I met a herd of sheep.

26. 오늘은 긴 코스는 아니었지만 고개를 몇번 오르내리느라 고단한 편이다.
26. Today's course was not that long. But I was a little bit tired because I had to go up and down the hill several times.
27. 이윽고 목표지점 Rugintse 라는 이름의 마을이 있는 곳에 3시반을 넘겨서 도착했다. 이름은 있지만 민가가 거의 없다. 이곳에서 30분쯤 기다려도 버스가 오지 않는다. 더 기다릴까 하다가 일단 자가용택시가 있을지도 몰라 이때부터 지나가는 차들에게 신호를 보낸다. 그러자 이내 차가 한대 선다.
27. Finally I arrived at destination, Rugintse village, over 3:30 in the afternoon. The name was on the map, but I could not find houses. I have waited about 30 minutes but there was no bus coming. I started to make hand signal for the private car which may do business as taxi. Soon a private car stopped.
28. 이 차는 영업을 하는 자가용은 아니지만 돈을 기대한다. 필자가 300데나르(6천원)면 되겠느냐고 하니 오케이다.
28. This private car was not a car for business, but he expected some payment. I said "300 deneri (6,000 Korean won)". He said, "OK".
29. 어제 그 식당 Baba Cana로 다시 왔다.
29. I came back to the same restaurant of yesterday.
30. 오늘은 훈제돼지 고기를 먹었다. 특제 샐러드까지 400데나르.
30. Today, I tried smoked meat of pig. The price including special salad was 400 denari.
31.옆좌석에서 아코디언와 함께 흥겹게 노래를 부르고 있다.
