Dragoman~Border~Dimitrovgrad

1. 표지사진은 국경지대의 지도다.
맨아래 Dragoman에서 위쪽 2/3 쯤 있는 흰 선의 국경까지가 14km이고, 국경부터 맨위의 파란 점이 있는 Dimitrovgrad까지가 5km다.
오늘은 이 거리를 모두 걸으면서 동시에 짐도 날랐던, 마법같은 하루였다.

It is 14 km from the Dragoman at the bottom to the white line border about 2/3 above, and 5 km from the border to Dimitrovgrad, the blue dot at the top.
Today was a magical day, walking all the road and carrying baggage at the same time.
2. 출발지는 어제의 도착지이자 하루 묵은 숙소.
The departure is yesterday's destination, a hotel slept last night.
3. 일단 국경까지 14km를 걸은 후 짐을 가지러 다시 오기로 했다. 오는 교통편이 확실치는 않지만.
Once I walked 14km to the border, I decided to come back to get my luggage.
I'm not sure the car's coming.
4. 눈덮힌 경관을 따라 한참을 걷는데,
I've been walking along the snowy landscape for a while,
5. 이분들이 일부러 차를 세우고 필자에게 다가왔다. 국경을 걸어서 넘어가고 있는 스케일이 그들에게 바로 이해가 되었을 것이다. 흔히 볼 수 있는 그림이 아니다.
These men pulled over their car and approached me. I knew they understood the scale, walking across the border.
It’s not a common case.

This white snow-covered road continues.
Every footstep I feel like I'm hearing a ppodeudeuk, a frictional sound.

11. 철로는 국경과 관계없이 유럽전체를 연결하고 있다.
머지않아 우리 남북의 철도도 연결되어 대륙으로 바로 갈 수 있을 것이다.
The railway links all over Europe, regardless of the border.
Soon the railroads between the two Koreas will be connected and we can go directly to the continent.

17. 이제 국경 통관지역에 도착했다.
I am now in the border clearance area.
18. 돌아가는 교통편이 마땅치 않다. 이 동네는 지역내 버스가 없다.
지나가는 버스도 장거리버스라서 중간승객을 태우지 않는다.
한참을 기다리면서 알아보다가 별 수 없이,
There is no way to get back to the hotel for baggage. There are no local bus in this neighborhood.
The bus is a long-distance bus, so it has no space for the middle passenger.
For a while, I do everything to solve this situation. But~~
19. 동네의 자가용택시를 왕복 30유로에 흥정하여 숙소에 맡겨둔 짐을 가지고 오기로 했다.
돈은 이럴 때 역할을 한다.
I decided to use the local private car. I made a bargain for 30 euros for round trip to bring the baggage left in the hotel.
Money plays a role in this.
20. 국경을 넘는다. 지난번처럼 쉽다.
중간의 면세구역에서 환전도 하면서 차도 한잔 마시면서 넘고나니
세르비아쪽 동네는 가게와 사람이 많다.
Cross the border. It's as easy as last time.
I exchange money in the middle of the duty-free zone and have a cup of tea.
There are many shops and people in the Serbian neighborhood.
21. 그런데 이 분이 필자를 기다리고 있다. 스위스에 살고 있는데, 유럽을 무대로 3D와 가상현실분야의 사업을 하고 있다. 자신도 국경을 넘으면서 보고 있자니, 짐을 끌면서 걸어가는 South Korea 인을 보고 돕고 싶었다고 한다.
But a kind young man is waiting for me. He lives in Switzerland, and he do business in Europe, 3D and virtual reality. He also cross the border and see a South Korean walking over the border, dragging his baggage. He hope to help me.
22. 이 분 덕에 숙소까지 짐을 옮긴다. 37세의 그는 오늘 오스트리아까지 달릴 예정이란다. 러시아에서 스위스까지 유럽전역이 사업의 무대다.
Thanks to this gentle man, I move my baggage to the hostel.
THe is 37-year-old and is scheduled to drive to Austria today.
The entire Europe from Russia to Switzerland is his stage of business.

24. 숙소에 짐을 푼 후 다시 국경으로 이동한다.
동네버스가 있는 것 같았지만, 시간절약을 위해 택시에 물어보니 500데나르(약 5500원)이어서 바로 이용하기로 했다.
After checking in the hostel, I move back to the border.
It seemed to me there was a local bus service. But I decided to use use taxi to save time. I checked the fare. It was 500 denars (about 5,500 won). I went back to the border immediately by taxi.
25. 국경지대에서 다시 걷기 시작.
I walked again at the border zone.

28. 이런 2층의 농가창고는 처음 본다.
I have never seen a two-story farmhouse warehouse like this.

I enter the Dimitrovgrad village.

The streets of the village are quiet and small.

36. 철도역앞에 있는 숙소에 도착한다.
I arrive at the hostel in front of the railway station.
37. 다행히 숙소앞 철도가 정상적으로 운행한다. 세르비아는 철도정보를 구글에 공유하고 있지 않다. 이 시간표는 필자의 세르비아 순례에 중요한 역할을 할 것이다. 당장 내일 아침일찍부터.
다이내믹한 하루였다.

Fortunately, the trains are running normally. I can see the timetable at the station in front of the hostel ; Serbia does not share the information on the railway with Google; this timetable will play a key role in my pilgrimage in Serbia. From tomorrow morning i rely on this~~.
It was a dynamic day.
