Non competitive Evaluation and Taste panels.
Breweries have a need for highly structured system for evluating products, and although much of the work can now be accomplished sophisiticated analytical equipment, there is still much about beer that only a human being can reveal.
맥주제조장들은 맥주제품 평가를 위한 고도의 평가방법이 필요하며 그것이 오늘날 정교한 분석도구를 통하여

Breweries may need to simply monitor their current beers for consistency, or check that the same beer brewed at different breweries all tastes the same; or they may be looking to evaluate improvements to the beer, or to try keeping it consistent even though materials, equipment, or brewing techniques have changed.
맥주 제조장들은
1)일관성 유지를 위하여 현재 만들어진 맥주(품질)들을 단순히 monitor하거나
2) (같은 종류의 맥주가) 각기 다른 제조장에서 만들어졌다 하더라도 동일한 맛을 유지하는지 확인하거나
3)맥주 품질의 개선을 고려(考慮)하거나
4)장비나 재료 또는 제조법의 변경이 있더라도 맥주 품질을 일관성이 있게 하려고 할지 모른다.
And of course, when new products are created, those have to be tested, too.
그리고 물론 신제품들이 개발되었을 때는 이런 것들도 검사(檢査)받아야 한다.
Test panels are usually selected tested and trained brewery personnel, but when it comes to things like new products, it is important to use regular consumers as well.

How do you become a beer judge?
Judging beer is by far the best way to hone your skills as a critical taster.

Whether you are a brewer or not, you can participate in the Beer judge Judge Certification Program (BJCP).
