존 베일리의 기도 (18일 아침):
나의 심령이 주님의 길을 따르게 하소서

자연의 베일 뒤에 숨어계시며, 인간의 마음을 아시고 우리 주 예수 그리스도 안에서 육체로 나타나신 영원한 존재자이신 하나님, 나로 하여금 주님의 발자취를 따르도록 나에게 모본을 남겨두신 것을 감사합니다.
네 보물을 땅에 쌓아 두지 말고 하늘에 쌓으라고 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다.
하나님, 나의 심령이 이 길을 따르게 하소서.
너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라고 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다.
하나님, 나의 심령이 이 길을 따르게 하소서.
선을 행하고 빌려주되 갚기를 기대하지 말라고 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다.
하나님, 나의 심령이 이 길을 따르게 하소서.
원수를 사랑하라고 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다.

깨어 기도하여 시험에 들지 말라고 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다.

두려워말고 믿기만 하라고 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다.

너희가 돌이켜 어린아이와 같지 않으면 천국에 들어갈 수 없다고 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다.

구하라 주실 것이요, 찾으라 얻을 것이요, 두드리라 열릴 것이라고 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다.
하나님, 나의 심령이 이 길을 따르게 하소서.
하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며, 나라가 임하시오며, 뜻이 하늘에서 이루어진 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다. 오늘 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주시옵고, 우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 자를 사하여 준 것 같이 우리 죄를 사하여 주시옵고, 우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마시옵고, 다만 악에서 구하시옵소서. 나라와 권세와 영광이 아버지께 영원히 있사옵나이다. 아멘
O Thou whose eternal presence is hid behind the veil of nature, informs the mind of man, and was made flesh in Jesus Christ our Lord, I thank Thee that He has left me an example that I should follow in His steps.
Jesus Christ said, Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.
O God, incline my heart to follow in this way.
Jesus Christ said, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.
