15:25 it seemed good to us, having become of one mind, to select men to send to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

15:26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15:27 "Therefore we have sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will also report the same things by word of mouth.

15:28 "For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials:

15:29 that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell."

15:30 So when they were sent away, they went down to Antioch; and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter.

15:31 When they had read it, they rejoiced because of its encouragement.

15:32 Judas and Silas, also being prophets themselves, encouraged and strengthened the brethren with a lengthy message.

1:9 For God, whom I serve in my spirit in the preaching of the gospel of His Son, is my witness as to how unceasingly I make mention of you,

1:10 always in my prayers making request, if perhaps now at last by the will of God I may succeed in coming to you.

1:11 For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established;

15:2 Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.

15:3 For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "THE REPROACHES OF THOSE WHO REPROACHED YOU FELL ON ME."

15:4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

15:5 Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,

15:1 φείλομεν δ μεῖς ο δυνατο τ σθενήματα τν δυνάτων βαστάζειν, κα μ αυτοῖς ρέσκειν.

1:5 For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.

1:6 But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer;

1:7 and our hope for you is firmly grounded, knowing that as you are sharers of our sufferings, so also you are sharers of our comfort.
