삼보 Three Jewels of Buddhism
Three Jewels of Buddhism are Buddha, teaching, Buddha’s followers. Korea has the Three Jewels Temples.
불교에는 불, 법, 승의 세 가지 보물이 있고 한국에는 삼보사찰이 있다.
Tongdosa-temple was built by Master Chajang. He brought relics of the Buddha from China and enshrined Tongdosa-temple. It represents the Buddha and so there is no need for a statue in the Main Hall as well.
통도사는 자장에 의해 지어졌다. 그는 중국에서 부처님의 사리를 가지고와 통도사에 모셨다. 그것은 곧 부처님을 나타내는 것이므로 대웅전에 불상을 모시지 않는다.
Haeinsa-temple has the Ttipitaka Koreana, a record of the teachings of the Buddha.
해인사에는 고려대장경이 있다. 고려대장경은 부처님 가르침의 기록인 고려대장경이 있다.
Songgwangsa-temple representing the Buddha’s followers because of sixteen National Masters including National Masters Chinul have lived here.
송광사는 보조국사 지눌을 비롯해 16분의 국사가 이곳에 머물렀기에 부처님의 가르침을 따르는 승가를 상징한다.
