전국 대학 18곳 총학생회가 6·10 민주 항쟁 기념일인 10일 오후 6시에 6·3 지방선거 투표용지 부족 사태를 규탄하고 대책을 요구하는 시국 선언을 동시에 발표했다. 시국 선언 참여 대학은 건국대·고려대·경희대·부산대·서강대·서울과기대·서울대·서울시립대·성균관대·숙명여대·숭실대·연세대·전남대·전북대·충북대·한국외대·한양대·홍익대 등이다.

건국대 학생회관 앞에는 검은색 상·하의 차림의 학생 500여 명이 모였다. 건국대 총학생회는 “정부와 국회는 실효적인 재발 방지 대책을 수립하고 선관위의 구조 개혁을 단행하라”며 “대학생의 순수한 목소리를 정쟁으로 소비하지 말고, 청년과 대학생을 포함한 시민 전체가 참여하는 독립적 개혁 감시 기구를 구성해 달라”고 했다.
전남대 총학생회는 “전남대는 5·18 민주화운동의 최초 발원지다. 민주주의가 억압된 상황에서 우리의 선배인 학생들은 침묵하지 않았다”며 “5·18에 이어 대한민국 민주화를 이끌어 낸 6·10 민주항쟁 기념일인 오늘, 국가에 의한 참정권 침해와 중앙선관위를 규탄한다”고 했다.
