Let us overcome through our Lord Jesus Christ.
“Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).
All power belongs to God the Father. For the Father is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever (Matthew 6:13).
The problem is death. It is darkness. Our flesh is completely surrounded by this death.
There is a lot of noise about apartment issues these days, but that is merely a difference between comfort and inconvenience; it is not the fundamental problem of humanity.
it is not the fundamental problem of humanity. Psalm 88 is a prayer in which Heman, a son of Korah, a poet who dominated an era, cried out earnestly to God.
The conclusion is that darkness is my closest friend (Psalm 88:18).
Although we have received the precious Lord Jesus Christ within our flesh, which is like an earthen vessel, the outside is a world of darkness.
The spirit of death is looming.
Why is COVID-19 so frightening?
It is because of death.
That fear of death is the fear of the death that will follow death.
Therefore, because faith of eternal life does not fear death, it can overcome illness as well.
If you are afraid, you lose.
If the resurrection of those who died in Adam does not take place in us who are in Christ, who can overcome this power of death?
Without the secret of obtaining life in Christ, who can overcome the power of darkness that fill the whole world?
Let us overcome death and darkness through Christ, who is the resurrection and the life.
As the COVID-19 situation drags on, the aftereffects are greater than the virus itself.
Anxiety and fear caused by unsettling rumors and ominous news are overwhelming, and an inexplicable sense of discomfort fills.
In short, it is stress.
The blessed person in Psalm 1 who meditates on the Lord’s law is a righteous person whose leaves remain fresh even amidst various stresses.
This means living by overcoming the surrounding death and darkness.
Do not think that they will retreat simply because you shout in the name of Jesus.
Death and darkness are fated enemies that we must fight to the very end while living in this world.
At the slightest provocation, they will infiltrate and knock us down.
We are deceived into thinking that our problems are work, material possessions, or people.
As long as we possess this perishable body, we have no choice but to wage a fierce battle against death.
This is because the devil rushes to devour our flesh, which is dust, by putting death as a vanguard.
In this battle, David also cries out, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; whom shall I dread?” (Psalm 27:1).
He is not speaking of a great mental victory.
He means that we should earnestly pray for the Lord—who is the resurrection from the dead and the life that conquers death—to fill us.
Cry out earnestly to His name in the Lord, so that the Spirit and life of the Lord may fill you, and the power of death and darkness that fills the whole earth may be overcome.
