[[문법문제]]lead to -ing 질문드려요ㅠ

This event led Holland to establish(X)(→establishing(O)) the Delaware colony and later claimed thin area.

1. 제가 풀땐 위 문장에서 Holland를 목적어로 보고 to establish를 목적보어로 보아서 맞는 문장인줄 알았네요ㅠㅠ

 lead to -ing 로 쓰이는 문장과 lead+O+OC(toR/p.p) 로 쓰이는 문장 구별을 어떻게 하나요??

2. and 병렬구조 때문에 뒤에도 to claim이 되어야 하는 거 아닌가요?? 왜 그냥 claimed가 오나요ㅠ
