I usually both receive help from others and give help to others in my daily life. Among those experiences, I would like to introduce the most memorable time when I was helped and the most memorable time when I helped someone.

First, the time when I received help was when I was caught in a sudden shower after school. While walking home, it suddenly started raining heavily, and I did not have an umbrella. People passing by did not realize how serious my situation was, so they only looked at me and kept going. At that time, my clothes and school bag were so tightly soaked that I could neither move forward nor find a place to hide from the rain. Having stayed under a small tree for quite a long time, I even started crying because I was frightened by the cold wind and thought I might get a severe cold or ruin all my textbooks. Then, a woman worried about me noticed that I was struggling and came over to share her umbrella. She walked me all the way to the subway station, keeping me safe from the rain. I was extremely grateful for the kindness shown to me, and I was filled with joy after getting out of the rain. Since then, I have checked the weather forecast much more carefully. I was very thankful to the woman willing to help a stranger like me.

Now, I would like to talk about a time when I helped someone. In the past, an elderly woman living in my neighborhood always collected waste paper on the street with a heavy handcart. One day, I decided to help her by pushing the heavy handcart filled with many stacks of cardboard. At that time, I had wanted to experience helping others, and I especially felt like giving help that day because the hill ahead looked too steep for her. So, I pushed the heavy cart all the way to the recycling center. The grandmother touched by my kindness asked me to wait for a moment and gave me a cold drink prepared for her own break. Through that experience, I realized that if I first show kindness to others, people grateful for my actions may also return kindness to me. I felt very thankful after receiving her warm response.

Later, I told my mother about this experience, but instead of praising me, she became worried and asked why I had gone all the way to a distant recycling center alone without telling anyone. She told me that moving heavy equipment on a busy road could have led to a dangerous traffic accident. After that, I became more cautious and careful in situations like this. I realized that although helping others is a good thing, helping people thoughtlessly without considering surrounding safety and my own physical limits could lead to bigger problems waiting unexpectedly.

Looking back on these memorable experiences now, they still feel vivid and full of precious memories remaining in my mind.
