One afternoon, while deep-cleaning my room, I stumbled upon a dusty, long-forgotten notebook from my childhood. At a glance, the pages seemed filled with meaningless, messy scribbles and chaotic drawings that looked like trash. However, when I paused and looked closer, those random lines transformed into a treasure trove of pure, innocent imagination. I found a drawing of a flying cat and a house built on clouds. This nostalgic experience taught me a valuable lesson: even the most ordinary, overlooked objects can hold beautiful and unique stories if we only invest a little time and attention to truly "see" them.
I have started applying this new mindset to my daily routine, especially during my school commute. Previously, I was like a robot, glued to my smartphone screen on the moving bus, completely oblivious to the world outside. Lately, however, I consciously choose to look out the window. I actively challenge myself to try simple, unfamiliar things, such as listening to classical jazz instead of my usual pop playlist, or taking a winding detour on my walk home. These minor changes break my automatic habits, broaden my intellectual horizons, and allow me to view the world from entirely new angles.
Through these daily practices, I have come to realize that creativity does not require a grand catalyst. It sparks the exact moment we replace our indifference with genuine curiosity. If we change our viewpoint and embrace small changes, anyone can uncover the hidden magic buried in everyday life.
