Exultate justi
(의인들아, 환호하라)
Lodovico Viadana (1560-1627)는 이탈리아 여러 도시의 성당에서 성가대장으로 봉직하면서 여러 편의 종교음악들을 작곡하였다. 자신의 책에서 스스로 통주저음(Basso Continuo)를 처음으로 시도하였다고 밝히고 있지만 인정되고 있지는 않다. 이 곡은 르네상스기법으로 작곡되었지만 실제로는 초기 바로크시기 (1600년대초)에 만들어졌다. 시편 33, “의인들아, 주님 안에서 환호하여라. 올곧은 이들에게는 찬양이 어울린다.”라는 내용의 신나고 흥겨운 곡이며 듣는 이나 부르는 이 모두 행복함을 느낄 수 있는 밝은 노래로 축일등에 부를 수 있다.
