When I'm a high school student, I usually scored 60 at English mock examination. To apply for admission to a university that I want to enter, I had to get good marks in English. So I started to watch what my friends do for studying English, and asked them how to study English. One of my friends who was good at English said she have a wordbook and solve questions everyday.
I started to make my wordbook and solve questions everyday. I solved so many questions that I spent about 100,000 won a month on buying a collection of problems.
After that, I became proficient in English little by little.
I think I was good at not English but just solving English problems.
I did hardly study English after graduating high school. Now I'm poor at listening what people say in English. And I can't remember some English words that I knew. Therefore, I think the most important thing is ceaseless efforts. We have to let us study a language constantly. If we don't, we will be poor at English.
I don't study TOEIC. It's not because of confidence about my ability in English. I just want to speak in English fluently. Now, I practice English conversation by listening some tapes, reading conversation book and so on.
