Icoterms 2000에서 운임포함조건 (Cost and freight)의 공식적인 약칭은 “CFR”이 맞습니다.
Incoterms 2000 본문 “Introduction” - 9) The terms에서 설명하고 있는 내용을 인용하면 다음과 같습니다.
In practice, the parties frequently continue to use the traditional expression C&F(or C and F, C+F).
Nevertheless, in most cases it would appear that they regard these expressions as equivalent to CFR.
In order to avoid difficulties of interpreting their contract the parties should use the correct Incoterms which is CFR, the only world-wide-accepted standard abbreviation for the term "Cost and Freight(…named port of destination)".
즉, 아직도 일부 실무자들은 CFR을 C&F, C+F, C and F, CNF 등의 형식으로 사용하고 있는데 공식용어인 CFR을 사용하도록 강력히 요구하고 있습니다.
따라서 실무에서 사용되는 상기 용어들은 같은 의미입니다만. 앞으로는 공식약어로서 “CFR XX Port, Incoterms 2000”이라고 정확한 용어를 사용하시고, 이번 상업송장에는 “CFR”이라고 표시해 주는 것이 맞습니다.
