존이 아파서 누워있다는 것을 설명하면 되지 굳이 강조하여
"당신도 알고 있는 바로 그 침대에 누워 있다"는 표현을 쓸 필요가 없다.
따라서 the 가 필요 없다.

a 는 내일 학교에 공부하러 간다라는 뜻이 있으나,
B 는 학교에 가는 이유가 the 가 있음으로서 '건물'을 보러 가는 것이다.
상식적으로 학교에 공부하러 간다라는 것이 일반적으로 다른 뜻이 없다면 옳을 것이다.

버스에 치었다고 할 때에는 '일반적인 교통수단이 아닌 '어느 지정된 버스'를 가리켜야 한다.
b에서 the를 넣었을 경우,
어떤 버스에 치었는지를 알고 있는 상황이나,
c 와 같이 부정관사 a를 넣었을 경우에는
어느 버스인지 모르는 때에 사용하는 문장이므로 상황에 따라 두 문장으로 쓸 수 있다.
일반적인 교통 수단일 경우에는 무관사이나,
구체적인 물체의 행위를 나타낼 때에는 전치사 in이나 on 과 함께 관사가 붙는다.
