Dear B.A.P, TS ENTERTAINMENT, and fans,
I am David Anthony, the producer and co-writer of the song All the Way Up. I
would like to make an official apology to everyone.
저는 All The Way Up의 원작자인 David Anthony입니다. 이번 사건과 관련하여 아티스트 본
인 및 기획사, 팬 여러분들께 사과의 말씀을 전하고자 합니다.
First of all, I am very sorry to all of you about how this has turned out.
I was so happy when I heard the news about B.A.P latest release and their
amazing performance on the song and it didn’t took me long to find out the
fans were loving it. But sadly it had to be stopped because of my huge
mistake.
우선 이번 일이 일어나게 된 데 대하여 깊히 죄송하다고 말씀드리고 싶습니다.
지난주 이 곡이 처음 나오게 되었을 때, B.A.P의 멋진 퍼포먼스에 많은 팬 여러분들이 이 곡을
사랑해 주실 거란 사실에 너무 기뻤습니다. 하지만 제가 빚어낸 큰 실수때문에 이 곡의 활동에
차질을 빚게되어 깊은 책임을 느낍니다.
I live in London and I’ve been only working in the Asian market for 1 and a half
years so far, still learning the rules and understanding the small differences
between Asian and western market. Unfortunately one of those
misunderstandings happened here and I do feel responsible for this although I
did not purposely cover up the song from the Hong Kong artist.
When they approached me at the first place I thought it would be better to
deal with it myself to make a quick and easy cut. So I didn’t give a proper
notice to The Kennel, my publisher, about this placement.
저는 런던에 거주중이며, 약 1년반 정도의 시간동안 아시아 음악시장에서 일을 해오고 있었습
니다만, 아직 여러 규칙들이나 서양/동양 음악시장의 차이점들에 대해 모르는 것이 많은 상태
이기도 합니다.
유감스럽게도 제가 범한 오류로 인해 이번 일과 같은 사태가 벌어졌고, 잘 모르고 행한 잘못이
긴 해도 여전히 책임의 소재는 저에게 있다는 것을 분명히 깨닫고 있습니다.
I admit that being excited for the song getting placed to both artists, I didn’t
give much thoughts about it not knowing this would lead to a trouble
afterwards. Stupidly, back then I believed that artists can have the same song
if they want, as long as it’s released in different territories. That’s why when
The Kennel informed me that B.A.P wants to cut the song, I just approved it
with no problem believing that I had done nothing wrong. It was all because
of my lack of knowledge and experience.
당초 홍콩과 한국 두 지역 모두에서 제 음악이 발매될 거란 사실에 너무 흥분한 나머
지, 이런 문제가 불거질거라는 예상은 전혀 하지 못했었습니다. 이 사건이 일어나기 전
까진 발매 지역이 다른 이상, 동일한 작품을 다른 아티스트가 사용할 수 있도록 하는
것이 합법이라고 잘못 인식하고있었기 때문입니다. 그래서 저의 퍼블리셔인 The
Kennel측에서 B.A.P가 제 곡을 사용하기 원한다고 알려왔을 때, 별 잘못이라는 인식
없이 승인을 하였습니다. 이 모든 것이 저의 경험과 지식의 부족으로 인해 빚어진 잘못
입니다.
I should have made a better communication to The Kennel about this
song, but I’m aware I have been careless and it has caused a big problem now.
The Kennel과 좀 더 긴밀한 커뮤니케이션을 통해 일을 진행해야만 했었지만, 저의 부
주의 때문에 이런 큰 문제가 발생하게 된 것을 인정하지 않을 수 없습니다.
I would like to make my sincere apology to the label and the fans and most of
all, to B.A.P, that I feel deeply sorry and low about this.
Please accept my apology and I promise you all this will NEVER happen again.
This is a huge lesson learnt for me, I would like to ask for your forgiveness for
my mistake, and I will be co-operate in any possible way to solve this
situation for I know that I am responsible for this situation.
이에 대하여 기확사 및 팬여러분들, 그리고 무엇보다도 B.A.P 멤버 여러분들께 진심어린
사과의 말씀을 드리고자 합니다.
이 일을 통해 저로서도 아주 큰 교훈을 얻었고 앞으로는 절대로 두번다시 같은 잘못을 하
지 않도록 노력할 것이며, 이번 문제의 해결을 위해 모든 방면에서 적극적으로 협조할 것
을 약속드립니다.
