왜냐하면 한국 고등학교는 아침 7시부터 가서 밤 10시까지 공부를 하는데, 캐나다 학교는 아침 8시에 가서 오후 3시까지만 공부를 하니깐 캐나다 문화가 신기 하다고 생각한다.
I thought Canada's culture was strange because you started school eight in the morning and finished at three in the afternoon when you have to start school at seven and finish at ten in Korea.
왜냐하면 한국 학생들은 대학교를 좋은데 갈려고 밤 늦게 까지 학교에 남아서 공부를 할 수 있는데, 근데 캐나다 학교 학생들은 밤늦게 까지 학교 안에서 공부를 할 수 없게 룰을 만들어 나서 깜작 놀랬다.
It was shocking because the rule said that you weren't allowed late at night in school, whereas in Korea the students want to go to a good university so they study until late in school.
왜냐하면 한국은 늦게 까지 남아서 공부를 해도 되기 때문이다.
You are allowed to stay until late in Korea.
그리고 한국 학교에서는 아침에 조례를 하고 끝날 때는 종례를 하는데, 캐나다에서는 아침에 오 캐나다를 부르고 그 다음 수업이 다 끝나면 아무것도 안하고 그냥 집에 돌아가니깐 익숙지가 않아서 조금 신기했다.
In Korean schools you have the morning assembly and when school ends you have the afternoon assembly but in Canada you sing 'Oh Canada' in the morning and when lessons finish you go straight home.
한국은 학교 끝나고 각자 클라스를 청소를 하는데 근데 캐나다는 그냥 청서도 안하고 그냥 집에 가니 간 이것도 조금 신기했었다.
In Korea you have to clean up your classroom after the day ends but in Canada you were allowed to go straight home.
한국학교는 학생들이 클라스를 옴 기는 게 아니라 선생님들이 클라스를 옴 기면서 학생들을 가르친다.
In Korean schools the teachers move classes instead of the students in every lesson.
근데 캐나다 문화는 학생들이 클라스를 옴 겨 다니면서 수업을 들어야 되기 때문에 조금 힘들었고 조금 깜작 놀랬다.
But in Canada the students had to move around so it was quite hard and shocking.
그리고 또 다른 문화는 한국에서 옷 같은 것들을 살 때 텍스도 다같이 포함해서 나오는데, 캐나다는 사고 나서 또 텍스를 15% 더 내야 된다고 생각하니깐 좀 힘들었다.
Another different thing is that, when you buy clothes in Korea tax has been included but in Canada you buy the clothes and pay another 15% tax, so it quite hard.
왜냐하면 습관이 되 있지 않아서 인 것 같다.
This is because it wasn't a habbit that I had.
그래도 제일 큰 문제는 영어였다.
But the biggest problem was English.
역시 의사소통이 정확히 되질 않으니, 일생 활과 학교공부에 지장이 있다.
It was hard to have a daily life in and out of school because I can't have conversations.
한국에서 영어공부를 하고는 왔지만, 막상 영어를 주어로 쓰는 나라에 와보니 차이가 엄청나다는 것을 느꼈다.
I did study English in Korea, but it was very different when I came to a country which actually speak English it was hard.
