Hello Jade.
Here is what I can tell you about my experiences as a wwoofer in Korea.
Seoul Farm in Jeju-do :
What a fantastic family !!
They are so nice, friendly, helpful and generous.
The farmer don't speak english and his wife only a little bit, but their 13 years old son speaks very well and translates for us.
I arrived very late in Seogwipo, but they were all here waiting for me at the bus station.
And even it was late, they took time that night to explain me about what I could do and visit in Jeju. They didn't want me to work the first day and drove me to a nice hiking trail along the coast, left a cell phone so I could call them when I am finished and came to get me. And when I was working they always worried if I were tired, but the work in the orchards was nice and fun with all the "ajumas" picking the tangerines. And for the week-end they made plans for me to visit everything I wanted in Jeju with their sons as guides.
They were always worried about my confort and happiness.
It was the complete opposite of my wwoofing experience in Chungcheongnam-do. In Young-I Farm I felt the wife only considered me as free labourer, whereas in Seoul Farm I felt they really want me to enjoy and visit Jeju-do.
Also the house is in a great location, surrounded by tangerine orchards and overviewing the sea. It is very simple house, with toilets outside and a simple bathroom, but they gave me private bedroom, and meals were delicious.
I would definitely recommend that farm to anyone for its friendly and warm atmosphere.
A great korean lifestyle experience with a great family.
I hope these informations can help you. Feel free to ask any questions or detailed informations.
I will send you some photos when I get back to France.
Have a great day and take care.
