Hi Jade,
First I'm sorry for not letting you have more news, I have not forgotten you at all, it is just I'm having a great time here in Sandeul Farm where everybody is trying to be nice to me and make me feel comfortable. And catching the internet isn't so frequent, but easier and right now more convenient than a phone.
So here am I, still in the mood of which I talked to you on the phone last week, meaning, I love these people more and more everyday. It's funny how sometimes we don't agree, or other times get into confusion (some miscommunication due to language), but this family and their friends are so warm-hearted and carrying the best intentions along, I just think I'm getting to understand them better. I'm glad our respective cultures don't shock each other, glad to see their efforts, glad to hear they like me.
Let me also tell you that Mr Kum is a great man. I personally think he is behind all this, how to say, I'm really estonish by his permanent will and hard work.
Cant' imagine the times when he has no Wwoofer around. His schedule is understandable only by him, but what extraordinary amount of tasks he accomplishes day after day, stone after stone. Plus there is no limit to what he tries to give me, he put me deep into pumpkin confidence, explains me his plans, don't just let me work, includes me in his future plans, we having a real friendship here.
He really tries to let me have some fun, well, introduced me to many friends, never abuses with work, bring me to cool stuff, and that is why I'm happy to help him correctly,.(if pumpkins are to freeze, we must cover them, should it be at 9:00PM until 11:00), trying to honor my part of contract like he honors his.
He is also a great man with how open his mind is...
I kind of figured out some people can look sometimes condescending with him (eventhough I don't understand what they chattin about), and he just will take it by smiling or laughing, humble and smooth, for they don't want to give credits to his plan, which I think so great on my side. He's one rare person who knows he should keep it pure and true, his world and mine are the same.
He thinks about Wwoof Korea all the time, about japanese sweetpumpkin seedmakers, trying to develop Korea's sweet pumpkin delicious taste, keeps perseverance into organics, more organics, he's a dreamer and I give him my whole trust, he's making it for something else than money. A very kind man, unselfish, a dreamer.
