Prime Minister Keir Starmer has told a news conference

he would fight back

if take losing technology companies resisit the social media apps ban spun

intended to protect children from harmful contents

and excessive screen time.

He says he’s not prepared

to compromise on the safety and happiness

of our children.

The move makes the U.K. heart part

of the a growing global movement

to tighten online safety to children.

Australia, Canada, Brazil,and Indonesia

have introduced the legislation over or requirements

for children’s access to social media,

whereas France, Spain, Denmark, Thailand, and South Korea

are among others

studying or developing similar approaches.
