The Trump administration is proposing 10 percent tariffs or more on products from dozens of major trading partners to address the importance of goods made with forced labor.
A report by the US Trade Representative says Canada, Mexico, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and some other countries and territories would 10 percent additional tariffs for allegedly failing to enforced labor import ban.
A 12.5 percent additional tariff would be imposed on China, Japan, India, South Korea, Brazil and dozens of other countries.
The new tariffs would not take effect immediately and are subject to public comment and review.
