771 26/6/13 Thieves Who Stole Romania's National Treasure Sentenced to Jail

1. The Cotofenesti helmet and three golden bracelets, some of Romania's most revered national treasures from the dacia civilzation, were stolen from the Drent's Museum in January 2025 when they were alone on loan for an exbition.

2. Now the Northern Netherlands District Court says the three guilty men, whose identies have not been released in line with privacy rules, warranted a custodial sentence because of the nature and gravity of their crime, each getting 47 months for the brazen robbery that shook the museum world.

3. Two bracelets and a helmet were recovered early earlier this year after a deal with two of the thieves.

4. A third braclet is still missing .
