773 26/6/15 OpenAI Moves Forward with IPO Preparations

1. ChatGPT maker OpenAI filed preliminary paper work that would open the door to its becoming a publicly traded company, making itself the third in a powerhouse trio of artificial intelligence companies eyeing Wall Street debuts.

2. The move follows Anthropic and SpaceX, whih are also pursuing IPOs. 

3. While OpenAI says it has not decided on the timing yer, as there are advantages to just staying private, last fall, CEO Sam Altman mentioned that an IPO was the most likely path due to the company's size and capital needs. I'm Lisa Dwyer.
