Beginning is an exciting word
I came to the virgin land
I didn’t think to come even in the dream

처녀지에 오게 되다니

The sea I look for in the winter
As I love it’s wide and good
To touch each other

바다가 넓고
하늘과 맞닿은 그 곳이 좋아
겨울에 찾은 바다

Like kissing after hugging
If I go to the sea
Next is jubilation

포옹에 키스처럼
바다에 가면
다음으로 연결되는 환희

During sharing tales about the sea
With top shells right coming up to the land from the sea
Dying the sky red
And as notifying magnific farewell beforehand
What the glow to fall hanging in the west mountains!

바다에서 육지로 막 오른 소라와
바다 얘기를 나누는 동안
하늘을 붉게 물들이며
장엄한 이별을 예고하듯
서산에 걸려 넘어지는 노을이여!

As it has the next promise
Not lonely nor solitary
The glow to fall in fine array

다음 기약이 있어
외롭지도 쓸쓸하지도 않게
보무도 당당히 스러져가는 노을은

Embraces you, me and us
And the sea, the sky, the earth and all
It comes down glidingly in the wide sea
In the endless
And transcendental beauty

너도 나도 우리도
바다도 하늘도 땅도 모두 안고
끝도 없이
초연한 아름다움으로
대양 속으로 미끄러지듯 내리고 있다
