성경말씀: 고린도 후서 10~11장

Scripture Reading: 2Corinthians 10~11

본문에서 “너희를 대면하면 소심하고 떠나 있으면 담대한 나 바울이 그리스도의 온유와 관용으로 너희에게 권고하노라. 내가 너희에게 갈 때에 세상의 기준을 따라 산다고 생각하는 자들에게 내가 담대하게 대하는 것처럼 내가 너희를 담대하게 대하지 않게 하기를 바라며 너희에게 간청하노라. 우리가 세상에서 살지라도 세상적인 전쟁을 하지 아니함이라. 우리는 세상적인 무기로 싸우지 않고 견고한 요새도 무너뜨리는 하나님의 신성한 능력으로 싸움이라. 우리는 하나님을 아는 지식을 대적하는 교만한 이론을 모두 무너뜨리고 모든 생각을 사로잡아 그리스도께 복종하게 함이라. 너희의 복종이 온전하게 될 때에 복종치 아니하는 모든 행위를 벌할 준비가 되어 있으리라(10:1-6)” 하였듯, 성령께서 가르치는 임마누엘 하나님 그리스도의 진리와 사랑을 따라 순종할 때, 자신을 헐뜯고 비방하는 사람까지 일깨우고 포용하며, 복음의 진리를 대적하는 사람들의 교만한 이론을 깨뜨리는 영적인 전사로 합당하고 올바른 믿음이 됩니다.

When we obey the truth and love of Christ, the Immanuel God, taught by the Holy Spirit, we become worthy and righteous spiritual warriors who awaken and embrace even those who slander and defame us, and shatter the arrogant theories of those who oppose the truth of the gospel, as “By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you, I Paul, who am timid, when face to face with you, but bold, toward you when away. I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standard of this world. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete. (10:1-6)”

왜냐하면 “너희는 외모만 보고 판단하지만 누구든지 자신이 그리스도께 속하였다 확신하는 자들은 우리도 그리스도께 속하였음을 다시 생각하여야 하리라. 너희를 무너뜨리지 않고 세우라고 주께서 우리에게 권세를 주셨으니 내가 지나치게 자랑해도 부끄러워하지 아니함이라. 내가 편지로 너희를 놀라게 하려 함이 아님이라. 어떤 사람들은 그의 편지는 무게와 힘이 있지만 직접 대면하면 허약하고 말이 신통치 못하다 하니, 그런 사람들은 우리가 떠났을 때에 편지로 말하는 것과 함께 있을 때의 행위가 같다는 사실을 알아야 하리라. 자신의 기준으로 비교하고 헤아리며 자기를 칭찬하는 자들과 교제하는 것은 지혜롭지 못함을 우리가 앎이라(10:7-12)” 하였듯, 사람들은 외모를 보고 판단하는 어리석은 죄를 저지르며 깨닫지 못하므로, 진리와 사랑과 믿음의 삶으로 본을 보이며 일깨워야 되기 때문입니다.

Because, people commit the foolish sin of judging by appearances without realizing it, we must awaken them by setting an example through a life of truth, love and faith, as “You are judging by appearance. If anyone is confident that they belong to Christ, they should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as they do. So even if I boast somewhat freely about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than tearing you down, I will not be ashamed of it. I do not want to seem to be trying to frighten you with my letters. For some say, His letters are weighty and forceful, but in person he is unimpressive and his speaking amounts to nothing. Such people should realize that what we are in our letters when we are absent, we will be in our actions when we are present. We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. (10:7-12)”

그러므로 “우리는 분수를 넘어 자랑하지 않고 오직 하나님이 우리에게 허락하신 범위를 따라 너희에게 이른 것을 자랑함이라. 우리가 그리스도의 복음으로 너희에게 나아갔고 너희에게 나아가지 않았으면 자랑할 것이 없음이라. 우리의 한계를 넘어 남이 수고한 것을 자랑하지 않고 너희 믿음이 자라남에 따라 우리의 활동 범위가 더욱 넓어지고, 너희를 넘어 다른 지방까지 복음을 전하게 되기를 바라고 남이 이루어 놓은 것으로 자랑하고 싶지 않음이라. 자랑하려면 주께서 행하신 일을 자랑하라. 자기 스스로 칭찬하는 자가 아니고 오직 주께서 칭찬하시는 자가 인정을 받음이라(10:13-18)” 하였듯, 자신에게 주어진 한계 안에서 복음의 진리를 전하며 자상하게 설명하고 설득하며 하나님의 인정과 칭찬을 받는 믿음으로 인도하야 합니다.

Therefore, within the scope permitted to us, we must preach the truth of the gospel, explain and persuade in detail, and lead people to a faith that God acknowledges and praises, as “We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the sphere of service God himself has assigned to us, a sphere that also includes you. We are not going too far in our boasting, as world be the case if we had not come to you, for we did get as far as you with the gospel of Christ. Neither do we go beyond our limits by boasting of work done by others. Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand, so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory. But, Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord. For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. (10:13-18)”

또한 “너희가 이미 해오던 것처럼 나의 어리석음을 너희가 조금만 참아주라. 내가 너희를 남편 그리스도 앞에 정결한 처녀로 나타나게 하리라 약속한 대로 하나님의 열심으로 너희를 위하여 질투함이라. 그리스도를 향한 진실하고 순수하게 헌신하던 너희 마음이 뱀의 잔꾀에 속은 이브처럼 그릇된 길로 이끌릴까 두려움이라. 만일 누가 너희를 찾아가 우리가 전하지 않은 다른 예수를 전하거나 너희가 받지 않은 다른 영을 받게 하거나 너희가 받아들인 복음과 다른 복음을 전해도 너희가 너무 잘 참음이라. 나는 지극히 위대한 사도들보다 조금도 부족하다 생각하지 않음이라(11:1-5)” 하였듯, 사람들은 감언이설과 그릇된 교훈에 잘 속으므로, 복음의 진리에서 벗어나려는 사람들은 적극적으로 일깨우고 바로잡아야 합니다.

We also feel sorry for those who are easily deceived by sweet talk and false teachings and who try to deviate from the truth of the gospel. We must actively awaken and correct them, as “I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, please put up with me. I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds nay somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. I do not think I am in the least inferior to those super apostles. (11:1-5)”

그러므로 “내가 말 잘하는 사람은 아니지만 내게는 지식이 있음을 모든 면에서 너희에게 분명하게 밝혔음이라. 내가 너희를 높이려고 자신을 낮추며 하나님의 복음을 값없이 전한 것이 죄였느냐, 내가 다른 교회에서 후원을 받아 너희를 섬긴 것이 그들에게서 강탈한 것이냐, 내가 너희와 함께 있으며 필요한 것들은 마게도냐에서 온 형제들이 채워주므로 아무에게도 부담을 주지 않았으며 너희에게 부담을 주지 않으려고 내가 항상 조심하였고 앞으로도 그리하리라. 내가 아가야 지방에서 내 속에 있는 그리스도의 진리를 자랑할지라도 아무도 막지 못하리라(11:6-10)” 하였듯, 맡겨진 사람들의 영혼 구원을 위하여 자신에게 부여된 권리를 절제하고 진실한 사랑으로 섬기되 상대방이 밝히 알고 이해하도록 가르쳐야 됩니다.

Therefore, for the sake of saving the souls of those entrusted to us, we must restrain even the rights granted to su and serve with true love, teaching others to clearly understand and know, as “I may indeed be untrained as a speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way. Was it a sin for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge? I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so as to serve you. And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so. As surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will stop this boasting of mine. (11:6-10)”

또한 “내가 너희를 사랑하지 않기 때문이냐 내가 너희 사랑함을 하나님이 아시느니라. 나는 우리와 동등한 대우를 받으려고 자랑하는 자들의 토대를 무너뜨리는 일을 앞으로도 계속하리라. 그들은 그리스도의 사도로 가장하여 너희를 속이는 일꾼들과 거짓 사도들임이라. 사탄도 광명의 천사로 가장하므로 이상한 일이 아니므로, 사탄의 일꾼들이 의의 일꾼으로 가장해도 놀라운 일이 아니지만 그들의 종말은 행위대로 받음이라(11:11-15)” 하였듯, 감언이설로 유혹하며 그릇된 믿음에 빠뜨리려는 사탄의 종들의 음모와 실상을 밝히 가르치며 일깨우고 바로잡아야 됩니다.

We must also teach, awaken, and correct the conspiracies and realities of Satan’s servants who lure people into false beliefs with sweet talk, as “Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do. And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want and opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. (11:11-15)”

왜냐하면 “내가 다시 말하지만 누구든지 나를 어리석다 착각하지 말라 만일 어리석게 여긴다면 내가 조금 자랑하도록 나를 어리석은 자처럼 용납하라. 그런 자랑은 주의 뜻에 따른 것이 아니지만 어리석은 자처럼 거침없이 자랑하리라. 세상 사람들이 자랑하는 것처럼 나도 자랑하리라. 어리석은 자들을 잘도 참아주는 너희가 참으로 현명하구나, 그들이 허세를 부리며 너희를 이용하고 빼앗으며 노예로 만들고 뺨을 때려도 너희가 참음이라(11:16-20)” 하였듯, 사람들은 자신을 내세우고 자랑하며 감언이설로 유혹하는 사람들에게 너무 쉽게 속기 때문입니다.

Because, peoples are too easily fooled by those who show off, boast, and seduce with sweet talk, as “I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. But if you do, then tolerate me just as you would a fool, so that I may do a little boasting. In this self-confident boasting I am not talking as the Lord would, but as a fool. Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast. You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise. In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you or puts on airs slaps you in the face. (11:16-20)”

그러므로 “그들이 히브리인이냐 나도 히브리인이고 그들이 이스라엘인이냐 나도 이스라엘인이며 그들이 아브라함의 후손이냐 나도 그렇고, 그들이 그리스도의 일꾼이냐 정신이 나가지 않고는 할 수 없는 말이지만 나는 더 많이 수고하였고 감옥에도 더 많이 갇혔으며 매를 더 많이 맞았고 여러번 죽을 뻔하였으니, 유대인들에게 사십에서 하나 감한 매를 다섯번 맞았고, 세번 태장을 맞았으며 한 번은 돌로 맞고 세번이나 난파당하고 일주야를 넓은 바다에 있었음이라(11:22-25)” 하였듯, 인간적으로 자랑할 것이 많아도 자랑하지 말고 자신을 낮추며 온갖 고난을 참아내며 복음을 위해 헌신하는 사람이 진정한 복음의 일꾼입니다.

Therefore, even if there is much to boast about as a human being, a true gospel worker is one who does not boast, but rather humbles himself, endures all kinds of hardships, and dedicates himself to the gospel, as “Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they Abraham’s descendants? So am I. Are they servants of Christ? I am out of my mind to talk like this, I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spend a night and a day in the open sea. (11:22-25)”

그러므로 “그 모든 것 외에 아직도 날마다 모든 교회를 위한 염려로 마음이 짓눌림이라. 누가 약하면 내가 약함을 느끼지 않고 누가 실족하면 내가 애태우지 않더냐, 내가 부득불 자랑해야 한다면 나의 약함을 자랑하리라. 주 예수의 아버지 영원히 찬송할 하나님이 내가 거짓말 안함을 아심이라(11:28-31)” 하였듯, 성령의 가르침과 인도를 따라 서로서로 배려하고 섬기는 진실한 사랑으로 올바른 믿음이 완성됨을 잊지 말고, 임마누엘 하나님 성령께 자신을 맡기고 죽기까지 순종해야 됩니다. 사랑하는 성도 여러분, 모두 임마누엘 하나님께 맡기고 순종하는 올바른 믿음으로 구원과 영생 얻기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Therefore, we must not forget that true faith is completed through true love, caring for and serving one another according to the teachings and guidance of the Holy Spirit. We must entrust ourselves to the Holy Spirit, God Emmanuel, and obey Him until death, as “Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn? If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. (11:28-31)” Dear saints, I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus Christ that you may obtain salvation and eternal life by entrusting yourselves to the Holy Spirit of God, Immanuel, and by having the right faith to obey until death. Amen.
