성경말씀: 갈라디아 1~2장
Scripture Reading: Galatians 1~2
본문에서 “어떤 사람이나 단체에서 보냄을 받지 않고 오직 예수 그리스도와 그를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 하나님 아버지로 말미암아 사도 된 바울은, 함께 있는 모든 형제자매와 함께 갈라디아 여러 교회들에게, 우리 하나님 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜와 평강이 있기를 원하노라. 그는 하나님 우리 아버지의 뜻을 따라 이 악한 세대에서 우리를 구원하시려고 우리 죄를 위하여 자신을 드리셨으니, 영광이 그에게 세세토록 있으리라(1:1-5)” 하였듯, 성령 하나님께서 가르치고 인도하는 대로 따라가며 진실한 사랑으로 섬기며 복음을 전할 때 창조와 구원의 주 하나님 예수 그리스도께서 삼위일체 하나님으로 임하여 사용하고 이루시는 능력으로 증거를 받으며 구원에 이르게 됩니다.
If anyone, who will be follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance and teachings, and serve with love to spread the gospel, then, he will surely receive testimony and attain salvation through the power of Jesus, the Lord God of Creation and Salvation, who came as the Trinity God of Immanuel to uses and accomplishes everything according to his eternal purposes, as “Paul an apostle, sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead, and all the brothers and sisters with me, To the churches in Galatia. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1:1-5)”
그러면 마땅히 해야 할 말을 가르치시는 성령의 신령한 지혜와 힘을 얻어, “그리스도의 은혜로 부르신 이를 너희가 이같이 속히 떠나 다른 복음을 따르니 내가 참으로 놀랐노라. 그것은 결코 복음이 아니고 다만 어떤 사람들이 그리스도의 복음을 변질시켜 너희를 혼란에 빠뜨리려 함이라. 그러나 우리나 하늘에서 온 천사라도 우리가 너희에게 전한 복음 외에 다른 복음을 전하면 영원한 정죄를 받으리라. 우리가 전에도 말했고 내가 다시 말하는데 누구든지 너희가 받은 것과 다른 복음을 전하면 영원한 정죄를 받으리라(1:6-9)” 하였듯, 거짓된 교훈으로 유혹을 받아 믿음이 흔들리는 사람들을 진리로 일깨우며 굳건한 믿음으로 세워주며 사랑으로 섬기게 됩니다.
Then, he will receive the spiritual wisdom and power of the Holy Spirit, who teaches us what to say, and he can awaken those who are wavering in their faith due to being tempted by false teachings to the truth, and establish them in a firm faith, and serve them with love, as “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel, which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse. As we have already said, so now I say again. If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse. (1:6-9)”
그러므로 “이제 내가 사람들에게 인정을 받으려 하겠느냐 하나님께 인정을 받으려 하겠느냐 사람에게서 기쁨을 구하겠느냐 내가 지금까지 사람에게서 기쁨을 구한다면 그리스도의 종이 아니니라. 형제들아 내가 전한 복음은 사람의 뜻을 따라 된 것이 아님을 너희가 알기 원하노라. 내가 사람에게서 받지 않았고 배우지도 않았으며 오직 예수 그리스도의 계시로 받았음이라(1:10-12)” 하였듯, 언제 어디서나 사람들이 좋아하는 말을 하지 않아야 되고, 오직 자신을 가르치고 인도하며 사용하시는 임마누엘 하나님에게서 떨어질까 두렵고 떨리는 마음으로 성령께서 기뻐하시는 뜻만 전하며 죽기까지 순종해야 구원에 이르게 됩니다.
Therefore, we must not say what people like to hear, anytime and anywhere. We must fear and tremble, lest we fall away from Emmanuel God who teaches, guides and uses us. We must only covey the will of the Holy Spirit and obey Him until death, in order to attain salvation, as “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. (1:10-12)”
왜냐하면 “내가 이전에 유대교에 있을 때의 행실을 너희도 들었듯 하나님의 교회를 얼마나 심하게 박해하며 파괴하려 하였는지, 내가 나와 같은 또래의 유대인보다 더 적극적으로 유대교를 믿으며 내 조상의 전통에 더욱 열심이었음이라. 그러나 내가 태어날 때부터 따로 구별하시고 은혜로 나를 부르신 하나님께서, 그의 아들을 이방에 전파하게 하시려고 그를 내 안에 나타내시기를 기뻐하셨을 때에 내가 누구와 의논하지 않았고, 나보다 먼저 사도 된 자들을 만나려고 예루살렘으로 가지도 않았고 아라비아로 갔다가 다시 다메섹으로 돌아갔노라(1:13-17)” 하였듯, 성경 말씀에 겉으로 나타나는 의미와 그에 따른 사람의 교훈을 따르면 그리스도 복음의 진리를 알지 못하고 거역하고 핍박하며 대적하는 죄악에 빠지지만, 그런 악한 죄인조차 불쌍히 여기며 찾아와 가르치시는 성령을 따라 배우고 믿으며 순종해야 올바른 믿음이 되기 때문입니다.
because, if we follow the superficial meaning of the Bible or the teachings of men, we will not know the truth of the gospel of Christ, but will fall into the sin of opposing, persecuting, and resisting it. However, even such sinners will have pity on us, and we must learn, believe and obey the Holy Spirit who seeks us out and teaches us, then we can be true faith, as “For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it. I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased, to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being. I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus. (1:13-17)”
그러므로 “삼년 후에 내가 게바를 만나려고 예루살렘에 올라가 그와 함께 십오일을 머물렀으나, 주의 형제 야고보 외에 다른 사도들은 만나지 않았노라. 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 하나님 앞에서 거짓말이 아니라. 그후 내가 수리아와 길리기아 지방으로 갔으나, 그리스도 안에 있는 유대의 교회들이 나를 전혀 알지 못하고, 다만 우리를 박해하던 자가 전에 멸하려던 그 믿음을 지금 전한다 하는 소문만 듣고, 나로 말미암아 하나님께 영광을 돌렸느니라(1:18-23)” 하였듯, 사람에게 인정받으려 하지 말고 오직 그리스도의 대속과 구원에 소망을 두고, 성령 하나님께 자신을 맡기고 죽기까지 순종하는 길 밖에 없습니다.
Therefore, do not seek recognition from the people, but place your hope solely in Christ’s redemption and salvation, and entrusting yourself to the Holy Spirit and obeying Him until death, as “Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days. I saw none of the other apostles, only James, the Lord’s brother. I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie. Then I went to Syria and Cilicia. I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. They only heard the report. The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy. (1:18-23)”
그러므로 “십사년 후에 내가 바나바와 디도와 함께 예루살렘에 다시 올라갔으니, 내가 계시를 받고 이방인들에게 가서 전파하는 복음을 지도자라 생각하는 사람들에게 사적으로 제시한 것은 내가 달음질한 것이나 달음질하는 것이 헛되지 않게 하려 함이라. 그러나 나와 함께 있는 그리스 사람 디도조차 할례를 받도록 강요하지 않았노라. 그리스도 예수 안에서 우리가 가진 자유를 엿보고 우리를 종으로 삼으려고 우리 가운데 끼어든 거짓 형제들이 있었으나, 복음의 진리가 너희 가운데 항상 머물게 하려고 우리가 그들에게 잠시도 굴복하지 않았음이라(2:1-5)” 하였듯, 임마누엘 하나님께서 인도하고 사용하며 이루신 일들을 마치 자신의 일처럼 자랑하는 어리석은 죄에 빠지지 않아야 하고, 성령의 진리를 따라 지키며 순종하는 사랑의 종이 돼야 합니다.
Therefore, we must not fall into the foolish sin of boasting about the work that God Emmanuel has guided, used and accomplished as if it were our own. Instead, we must become servants of love who follow and obey the truth of the Holy Spirit, as “Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas. I took Titus along also. I went in response to a revelation and, meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, I presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain. Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek. This matter arose because some false believers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves. Wo did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you. (2:1-5)”
그러면 “하나님은 사람을 외모로 판단하시지 아니하므로 중요하게 보이는 사람이라도 내게는 중요하지 않고 그들이 내 복음에 아무것도 더하지 않았으며, 도리어 그들은 베드로가 유대인들을 맡은 것과 같이 내가 이방인에게 복음 전함을 맡은 것을 알았으니, 베드로를 유대인의 사도로 삼으시고 역사하신 하나님이 나를 이방인의 사도로 삼으시고 역사하셨음이라. 기둥으로 여겨지는 야고보와 게바와 요한도 내게 베푸신 은혜를 알고 나와 바나바에게 교제의 악수를 청했으니 우리는 이방인에게로, 그들은 할례자에게로 가게 하셨음이라. 다만 우리에게 가난한 자들을 계속 기억하기를 부탁하였으니 나도 간절히 원하는 일이라(2:6-10)” 하였듯, 하나님의 보증으로 말미암아 진실한 믿음의 사람들과 서로서로 인정하고 격려하며 협력하게 됩니다.
Then, with God’s assurance, we will acknowledge, encourage and cooperate with people of true faith, as “As for those who were held in high esteem, whatever they were makes no difference to me, God does not show favoritism, they added nothing to my message. On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised. For God who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles. James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along. (2:6-10)”
왜냐하면 사람을 바라보면 “베드로가 안디옥에 왔을 때에 분명하게 잘못을 저질렀으므로 내가 그를 정면으로 꾸짖었노라. 어떤 사람들이 야고보에게서 오기 전에는 이방인과 함께 먹던 베드로가 그들이 도착하니 할례자들이 두려워 이방인들을 떠나 물러났고, 다른 유대인들도 그의 위산에 동참하므로 그들의 위선에 바나바까지 미혹되었음이라(2:11-13)” 하였듯, 위선자가 되고 다른 사람들을 죄에 빠뜨리기 때문입니다.
Because, if you look at people, you will become a hypocrite and cause others to sin, as “When Cephas cam to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. For before certain men cam from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. (2:11-13)”
그러므로 “내가 하나님을 위하여 살려고 율법으로 말미암아 율법에 대하여 죽었느니라. 내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔으므로 이제는 내가 사는 것이 아니고 오직 그리스도께서 내 안에 사시는 것이라 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하시고 나를 위하여 자기 자신을 내어주신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사노라(2:19-20)” 하였듯, 우리 모두 자신의 생각과 바램을 십자가에 못박아 죽이고 오직 그리스도의 진리와 사랑을 따라 살아야 죽기까지 올바른 믿음을 지키고 구원을 얻습니다. 사랑하는 성도 여러분, 모두 그리스도의 십자가에 자신을 못박아 죽이고 그리스도의 구원만 바라보며 임마누엘 하나님 성령을 따라 순종하는 올바른 믿음으로 대속과 구원 얻기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 기도하며 축복합니다. 아멘.
Therefore, we must all crucify our own thoughts and desires and live only according to the true and love of Christ, so that we may maintain the right faith until death and attain salvation, as “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (2:19-20)” Dear saints, I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus Christ that you may receive atonement and salvation by crucifying yourselves on the cross of Christ, and by following the Holy Spirit of God Emmanuel, with the right faith to obey until death, looking forward to the salvation of Christ. Amen.
