성경말씀: 골로새서 3~4장

Scripture Reading: Colossians 3~4

언약의 말씀에 따라 대속과 구원을 바라고 그리스도를 믿지만, “너희가 그리스도와 함께 다시 일으키심을 받았으면 그리스도께서 하나님의 우편에 앉으신 하늘의 것들에 마음을 두라 위의 것만 생각하고 땅의 것을 생각하지 말라. 너희가 이미 죽었고 너희 생명이 그리스도와 함께 하나님 안에 숨겨졌고, 우리의 생명이신 그리스도께서 나타나실 때에 너희도 그와 함께 영광 중에 나타나리라(3:1-4)” 하였듯, 자신의 몸과 마음을 바쳐 천국과 영생을 사모하며 죽기까지 충성해야 구원을 얻으므로, “천국은 침노를 당하나니 침노하는 자는 빼앗느니라(마11:12) - 내가 목숨을 버리는 것은 그것을 다시 얻기 위함이라(요10:17)” 하셨습니다.

Everyone believes in Christ, hopping for redemption and salvation according to the words of the covenant, but only those who dedicate their body and soul to eternal life in heaven and obey until death can attain salvation in Jesus, as “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (3:1-4)” So, that the Lord Jesus taught it before, as “The kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it. (Mattew11:12) – I lay down my life, only to take it up again. (John10:17)”

그러므로, “너희가 땅에 속한 음란과 부정과 사욕과 악한 정욕과 우상숭배가 되는 탐심을 모두 죽이라. 그런 것 때문에 하나님의 진노가 임함이라. 너희도 이전에는 그런 길을 따라 살았으나, 이제는 너희가 분노와 진노와 악의와 비방과 부끄러운 말을 모두 내버리라. 너희가 옛 사람과 행위를 벗어 버리고 서로 거짓말을 하지 말라. 너희를 창조하신 하나님의 형상을 따른 지식으로 새롭게 되는 새 사람을 입었음이라. 거기는 만유이신 그리스도께서 만유 안에 계시므로 헬라인이나 유대인이나 할례자나 무할례자나 야만인이나 스구디아인이나 종이나 자유인이 없음이라(3:5-11)” 하였듯, 저주받은 육신의 욕망에서 나오는 모든 생각과 행위를 버려야 되고, 믿음의 조상에 따른 언약과 혈통을 따지는 율법적 믿음도 버려야 하며, 그리스도를 본받아야 믿음입니다.

Therefore, we must abandon all thoughts and actions that stem from desires of the cursed flesh, and we must also abandon the false belief that we rely on lineage or covenants from our ancestors in faith, and we must only imitate the obedience of Christ, as “Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: Sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. (3:5-11)”

그러므로 “너희는 하나님께서 택하시고 사랑받는 거룩한 자 답게 긍휼과 자비와 겸손과 온유와 오래 참음을 옷 입으라. 서로 참아주고 서로 원망할 일이 있더라도 주께서 너희를 용서하신 것 같이 용서하라. 그 모든 덕목 위에 모든 것을 완벽한 연합으로 결속시키는 사랑을 더하라. 너희가 화평으로 한 몸을 이루도록 부르심을 받았으니 그리스도의 평화가 너희 마음을 다스리게 하며 항상 감사하라. 그리스도의 말씀이 너희 속에 풍성히 거하여 모든 지혜로 서로 가르치고 권면하며 감사하는 마음으로 시와 찬송과 신령한 노래로 하나님을 찬양하라. 말이나 행동이나 무엇이든지 다 주 예수의 이름으로 하며 하나님 아버지께 감사하라(3:12-17)” 하였듯, 선택하여 부르시고 영생의 자녀로 거듭날 권한을 주신 하나님의 은혜와 사랑에 감사하며 모든 일을 그리스도의 이름으로 당당하게 해야 합니다.

Therefore, we must grateful for the grace and love of God who chose and called us and gave to be reborn as children of eternal life, and we must confidently do everything in the name of Christ Jesus, as “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues out on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (3:12-17)”

그러므로 “아내들아 남편에게 복종하라 그것이 주 안에서 합당함이라. 남편들아 아내를 사랑하고 가혹하게 대하지 말라. 자녀들아 모든 일에 부모에게 순종하여 주를 기쁘시게 하라. 아비들아 자녀들을 괴롭히지 말라 낙심할까 두려움이라. 종들아 모든 일에 육신의 상전들에게 환심을 사려고 눈 앞에서만 잘하지 말고 오직 주를 경외하는 마음으로 성실하게 순종하라. 무슨 일이든지 주님을 대하듯 마음을 다하여 하고 사람에게 하듯 하지 말라. 주의 기업으로 보상받을 줄 알고 너희가 그리스도를 주님으로 섬김이라. 불의를 행하면 불의에 대한 보응을 받고 차별이 없느니라(3:18-25)” 하였듯, 부모와 자녀, 형제자매나 부부간에도 상대방과 동행하실 하나님을 바라보며 존중하고 사랑으로 섬겨야만, 아무런 상처를 주지 않는 하나님 앞에 올바른 믿음이 됩니다.

Therefore, whether between parents and children, siblings, or spouses, the right faith is to look to God, who accompanies each other, and to serve each other with love without causing harm, as “Wives submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged. Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to carry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ your serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism. (3:18-25)”

왜냐하면, “주인들아 너희 주인이 하늘에 계심을 알고 종들에게 의와 공평을 베풀어라. 감사하는 마음으로 항상 깨어 있으며 기도에 헌신하라. 그리스도의 신비로 말미암아 갇힌 우리에게 하나님께서 전도의 문을 활짝 열어 주셔서 그리스도의 비밀을 선포할 수 있게 기도하라. 내가 마땅히 해야 할 사명대로 그 비밀을 분명하게 선포할 수 있도록 기도하라. 외부의 사람들을 지혜롭게 상대하며 모든 기회를 최대한 활용하라. 너희가 소금으로 맛을 내듯 항상 은혜로운 말을 하라 그러면 모든 사람들에게 어떻게 대답해야 할지 알게 되리라(4:1-6)” 하였듯, 세상 지위나 권한에 막대한 차이가 있어도 하나님 앞에서는 모두가 똑같음을 잊지 말고, 오직 그리스도의 신비한 구원과 생명의 복음을 위하여 자신을 버리고 낮추며 진실한 사랑으로 섬겨야 올바른 믿음이기 때문입니다.

Because, even if there are vast differences in worldly status or authority, we must not forget that we are all equal before God. Only for the sake of Christ’s mysterious salvation and the gospel of life. We must sacrifice ourselves, humble ourselves and serve with true love. This is the right faith in Jesus, as “Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven. Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders, make the most of every opportunity. Ley your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. (4:1-6)”

그러므로, “사랑받는 형제와 신실한 일꾼이며 주 안에서 함께 종 된 두기고가 내 사정을 너희에게 다 알려 주리라. 그가 우리의 사정을 너희에게 알리고 너희 마음을 위로하게 하려고 내가 그를 너희에게 보냄이라. 너희에게서 온 신실하고 사랑을 받는 형제 오네시모를 함께 보내니 그들이 여기 일을 다 너희에게 알려 주리라. 나와 함께 갇힌 아리스다고와 바나바의 사촌 마가가 너희에게 문안하느니라 이 마가에 대하여 너희가 명을 받았으니 그가 오거든 영접하라. 유스도라 하는 예수도 너희에게 문안하느니라 유대인 가운데서 그들만 하나님의 나라를 위하여 나와 함께 일하며 나의 위로가 되었느니라(4:7-11)” 하였듯, 서로 멀리 떨어져 있더라도 진실한 사랑으로 성령 안에서 위하여 기도하며 서로 돕고 협력하는 믿음과 사랑과 생명의 공동체가 돼야 합니다.

Therefore, even though we are far apart, we must be established as a community of faith, love and life, with praying for one another in the Holy Spirit with true love, helping one another, and cooperating with one another, as “Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. I am sending him to you for the express purpose that you may know about our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts. He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here. My fellow prisoner Aristarchus sends you his greetings, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas. You have received instructions about him, if he comes to you, welcome him. Jesus, who is called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only Jews among my co-workers for the kingdom of God, and they have proved a comfort to me. (4:7-11)”

그리고, “너희에게서 온 그리스도 예수의 종 에바브라가 너희에게 문안하느니라 그가 항상 너희를 위하여 애써 기도하며 너희가 하나님의 뜻 안에서 성숙하고 완전하며 확실하게 서기를 간구하며, 그가 너희와 라오디게아와 히에라볼리에 있는 자들을 위하여 많이 수고함을 내가 증거하노라. 우리의 사랑을 받는 친구와 의사인 누가와 데마가 너희에게 문안하느니라. 라오디게아에 있는 형제들과 눔바와 그녀의 집에 있는 교회에 나의 문안을 전하라. 이 편지를 너희가 읽은 후에 라오디게아인의 교회에서도 읽게 하고 라오디게아에서 오는 편지를 너희도 읽으라(4:12-16)” 하였듯, 서로서로 문안하고 격려하며 복음의 진리와 사랑을 나누며 맡은 바 직분과 사명에 죽기까지 순종하며 충성해야 올바른 믿음으로 인정받고 부활하여 천국에 들어가 영생하게 됩니다.

And if we greet and encourage one another, share the truth of the gospel in love, and are faithful and obedient to our assigned duties and missions until death, we will be recognized as having faith, be resurrected, and enter heaven to receive eternal life, as “Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand form in all the will of God, mature and fully assured. I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis. Our dear friend Luke, the doctor, and Demas send greetings. Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house. After this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea. (4:12-16)”

왜냐하면, “항상 복종하여 두렵고 떨림으로 너희 구원을 이루라. 너희 안에서 행하시는 이는 하나님이시니 자기의 기쁘신 뜻을 위하여 너희에게 소원을 두고 행하게 하시나니, 모든 일을 원망과 시비가 없이 하라(빌2:12-14)” 하였듯, 하나님의 뜻에 순종할 마음을 주시고 시행하게 하시는 분도 하나님이시므로, “우리를 구원하시되 우리가 행한 바 의로운 행위로 말미암지 아니한다(딛3:5)” 하셨지만, 순종하지 아니하면 사용하지 않는 임마누엘 하나님의 섭리 때문에, “행함이 없는 믿음은 그 자체가 죽은 것이라(약2:17)” 하셨습니다. 성도 여러분, 성령의 진리를 따라 순종하며 영생에 소망을 두고 섬기는 사랑으로 대속과 구원을 얻어 부활하고 영생하기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Because, it is God who gives us the heart to obey His will and enables us to carry it out, as “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing. (Philippians2:12-14)” So, that no one be saved by his works, but by the faith only, as “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. (Titus3:5)” But if it is not manifested in action, it is not faith, it is only knowledge, as “Faith by itself, it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (James2:17)” Dear saints, I earnestly pray and bless you in the name of Christ Jesus, that you may entrust yourselves to God, place your hope in the eternal life in the heaven, serve with true love everyone and preach the truth of the gospel, keeping your faith until death, and attain redemption and sqalvation, resurrected and attain eternal life all. Amen.
