No Saved if not Kept his good Faith in Christ until Death
성경말씀: 디모데 전서 4~6장
Scripture Reading: 1Timothy 4~6
본문에서, “후일에 어떤 사람들이 믿음에서 떠나 미혹하는 영과 귀신의 가르침을 따를 것이라 성령께서 밝히 말씀하셨으니, 양심에 화인을 맞아서 거짓말하는 위선자들에게서 그런 가르침이 나오리라. 모든 음식물은 믿는 자들과 진리를 아는 자들이 감사함으로 받도록 하나님이 지으신 것임에도 어떤 음식물은 먹지 말라 하고 결혼을 금지함이라(4:1-3)” 하였듯, 복음의 진리를 임의로 변경시키는 사람의 생각과 교훈 때문에, 죽기까지 믿음을 지키기 어렵고 구원을 얻지 못하게 됩니다.
Whoever, no one be kept his good belief in Christ until death himself to be obtain salvation, because of the fleshly own thoughts and the teachings of the men, those who arbitrarily change the truth of the gospel, as “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught buy demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. (4:1-3)”
그러나, “하나님께서 모든 것을 선하게 지으셨으므로 감사함으로 받으면 버릴 것이 없으니, 하나님의 말씀과 기도로 거룩하게 됨이라. 이것으로 형제들을 일깨우면 믿음의 말씀과 네가 따르는 좋은 교훈 안에서 그리스도 예수의 좋은 일꾼으로 자라나리라(4:4-6)” 하였듯, 하나님께서 우리를 죄와 사망에서 구원하여 영생을 주시려고 그리스도 복음의 진리에 맞추어 세상을 창조하셨으므로, 모든 것을 감사함으로 받아들이고 기도하며 성령의 진리를 따라 순종하면 누구나 죽기까지 믿음을 지키고 구원을 얻게 됩니다.
However, since God created the world according to the truth of the gospel of Christ to save us from sin and give us eternal life, if we accept everything with gratitude, pray and obey the truth of the Holy Spirit, we will keep our faith until death and be saved, as “For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. (4:4-6)”
그러므로 “할머니의 헛된 미신이나 망령된 신화를 버리고 경건하게 자신을 단련하라. 육체의 훈련은 약간의 유익이 있으나 경건은 이생과 내생의 언약과 범사에 유익함이라. 이는 모든 사람이 받아들일 신실한 말이라. 우리가 살아 계신 하나님께 소망을 두고 수고하고 애쓰는 것은 그가 모든 사람들의 구원자이시며 특히 믿는 자들의 구주심이라. 이것들을 지시하고 가르치라(4:7-11)” 하였듯, 말씀을 사랑하는 자에게 임하시는 성령의 가르침을 받으며 경건한 믿음과 삶을 지키도록 끊임없이 노력해야 됩니다.
Therefore, we must constantly strive to maintain a godly faith and life by receiving the teachings of the Holy Spirit, which comes only to those who love the Word of God in the Bible, as “Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ t6ales, rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy Saying that deserves full acceptance. That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. Command and teach these things. (4:7-11)”
그러면 “모든 믿는 자들에게 말과 행실과 사랑과 믿음과 정절로 본을 보여 아무도 네가 젊다고 업신여기지 못하게 하라. 내가 이를 때까지 공개적으로 성경을 읽고 가르치며 권유하는 일에 전념하라. 네가 장로들의 안수와 예언으로 받은 은사를 소홀히 하지 말라. 그 일에 전념하여 모든 사람 앞에 너의 성숙함을 나타내라. 너의 삶과 교훈을 주의 깊게 살피며 꾸준히 노력하라 그러면 너 자신과 너에게 듣는 자들을 구원하리라(4:12-16)” 하였듯, 꾸준하고 변함없는 선하고 의롭고 경건한 삶으로 남들에게 본이 되며 복음의 진리를 전하고 가르치며 사랑과 생명의 열매를 맺게 됩니다.
Then, by living a consistent and constant life of goodness, righteousness and piety, you will become an example of good Christian to others and bear fruit of love and life with preaching and teaching to truth of the gospel, as “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in live, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters, give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (4:12-16)”
그러나 “명부에 올릴 과부는 나이 육십이 넘고 한 남편의 충실한 아내였고, 선한 행실로 자녀를 양육하고 나그네를 대접하며 성도들의 발을 씻기고 환난 당한 자들을 돕고 선한 일에 헌신하며 명성을 얻었어야 하리라. 젊은 과부는 명부에 올리지 말라 정욕에 이끌리면 그리스도에 대한 헌신을 배반하고 시집가며, 처음 서원을 저버린 죄로 심판을 자초함이라. 또한 일하지 않고 게으름을 피우며 집집마다 다니며 수다를 떨고 참견하며 마땅히 하지 않아야 할 말을 함이라(5:9-13)” 하였듯, 자신의 선행으로 말미암아 마음에 상처를 받거나 죄에 빠지는 사람이 없도록 항상 조심해야 됩니다.
However, we must always be careful not to hurt anyone or fall into sin because of our good deeds, as “No widow may be put on the list of widows unless she is over sixty, has been faithful to her husband, and is well known for her good deeds, such as bringing up children, showing hospitality, washing the feet of the Lord’s people, helping those in trouble and devoting herself to all kinds of good deeds. As for younger widows, do not put them on such a list. For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, they want to marry. Thus, they bring judgement on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge. Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also busybodies who talk nonsense, saying things they ought not to. (5:9-13)”
그러므로 “잘 다스리는 장로들을 갑절로 존경하되 설교와 가르침을 잘하는 이들을 더욱 존경하라. 성경에 곡식을 밟아 떠는 소의 입에 망을 씌우지 말라 하였고 일꾼이 삯을 받는 것은 마땅하다 하였음이라. 두 증인이 없으면 장로에 대한 고발은 받지 말라. 범죄한 자들을 공개적으로 꾸짖어 다른 사람들에게 경고하라. 하나님과 그리스도 예수와 택하심을 받은 천사들 앞에서 내가 엄히 명하니 너는 편견 없이 이것들을 지키고 아무 일도 편파적으로 하지 말라(5:17-21)” 하였듯, 상벌을 명확하고 공평하게 시행해야 생명력을 가진 진실한 믿음과 교회가 된다는 뜻입니다.
Therefore, it means that rewards And punishments must be strictly, clearly and fairly implemented to create a true faith and a vibrant church, as “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. For Scripture says, ‘Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain, and ‘The worker deserves his wages. Do not entertain and accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses. But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning. I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism. (5:17-21)”
그래야만 “누구든지 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 경건하고 거룩한 교훈을 따르지 않고 거짓된 교리를 가르치면, 그는 아무 것도 알지 못하는 교만하고 악한 생각으로 투기하고 비방하며 언쟁과 다툼과 분쟁을 일으키며, 경건을 이익의 방도로 생각하며 진리를 잃어버리고 마음이 부패한 자들 사이에 끊임없는 갈등과 다툼을 일으키지만, 자족하는 마음에는 경건이 큰 이익을 주느니라(6:3-6)” 하였듯, 거짓된 교리를 만들거나 빠지거나 가르치지 않게 되고, 그리스도의 거룩하고 경건한 진리만 전하고 가르치며 따라 지킬 수 있기 때문입니다.
Only then, can we avoid creating, omitting or teaching false doctrines, and only preach, teach and follow the holy and godly truth of the Christ, as “Anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions, and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. But godliness with contentment is great gain. (6:3-6)”
왜냐하면, “우리가 세상에 아무 것도 가지고 오지 않았고 아무 것도 가지고 가지 못하므로, 먹을 것과 입을 것이 있으면 족한 줄로 알아야 함이라. 부자가 되려는 자는 여러 가지 어리석고 해로운 정욕을 따라 시험과 올가미에 걸리고 파멸과 멸망에 빠지리라. 돈을 사랑함이 모든 악의 근원이므로 돈을 탐하는 자들은 미혹을 받아 믿음에서 떠나고 많은 근심으로 자신을 찌르리라. 하나님의 사람아 그 모든 것을 피하고 의와 경건과 믿음과 사랑과 인내와 온유를 따르라. 네가 부르심을 받았을 때 많은 증인 앞에서 선한 고백을 하였으니 영생을 붙잡고 믿음의 선한 싸움을 싸우라(6:7-12)” 하였듯, 진실한 믿음으로 하나님의 은혜와 사랑과 능력을 많이 받은 사람이라도, 세상 것을 사랑하는 육신의 욕망으로 돈을 탐하는 우상숭배의 죄악에 빠지면 믿음을 잃어버리고 멸망의 심판으로 떨어지기 때문입니다.
Because, even those who have received much of God’s grace, love and power through true faith will lose their faith and fall into the judgement of destruction if they fall into the sin of idolatry, greedy for money, driven by fleshly desires, as “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentles. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (6:7-12)”
왜냐하면 “영생을 주시는 하나님과 본디오 빌라도 앞에서 선한 증거를 하신 그리스도 예수 앞에서 내가 네게 명하노라. 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 나타나실 때까지 비난이나 흠이 없이 이 명령을 지키라. 때가 되면 왕들의 왕이시고 주들의 주이시며 유일하신 통치자이시며 복되신 하나님 예수 그리스도께서 나타나시고 보여 주시리라. 아무도 가까이할 수 없는 빛에 계시므로 보았거나 볼 수도 없고 영원불사하시는 그분께 영광과 권능이 영원하리라(6:13-16)” 하였듯, 죽을 때까지 올바른 믿음을 신실하게 지켜야만 그리스도의 심판대에서 인정을 받고 구원을 얻어 부활하고 하나님의 자녀가 되기 때문입니다.
Because, only by faithfully maintaining the right faith until death can we recognized at the judgement seat of Christ, receive salvation and be resurrected and become children of God forever, as “In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you, to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time, God,, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and mighty forever. (6:13-16)”
그러므로 “세상에서 부유한 자들에게 불확실한 재물에 소망을 두어 교만해지지 말고 오직 우리에게 모든 것을 후하게 주시고 누리게 하시는 하나님께 소망을 두며, 자원하여 관대하게 나누고 베푸는 선행에 부자가 되라 명하라. 그렇게 하면 장래에 자신을 위한 든든한 기초와 보물을 쌓으며 진실한 생명을 붙잡으리라. 디모데야 경건하지 못한 잡담과 거짓된 지식이라 불리는 반대되는 사상을 피하고 너에게 맡긴 일을 지키라. 그런 것을 고백하며 따르는 자들은 믿음에서 벗어났음이라 은혜가 너에게 있으리라(6:17-21)” 하였듯, 풍부한 재물로 말미암아 교만한 죄에 빠지지 않도록 진리와 사랑으로 일깨우며 서로서로 나누고 베풀며 섬기는 사랑으로 경건한 믿음의 열매를 맺어야 됩니다. 성도 여러분 모두 죽기까지 복음의 진리와 사랑을 따라 지키고 순종하는 믿음으로 구원과 영생 얻기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.
Therefore, we must not fall into the sin of pride due to our abundance of wealth, but awaken ourselves with truth and love, and bear the fruit of godly faith through love that shares, gives and serves one another, as “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share, in this way will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and so doing have departed from the faith. Grace be with you all. (6:17-21)” Dear saints, I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus Christ that you may all follow the truth and love of the gospel until death and obtain salvation and eternal life through obedient faith.
