차코문화역사공원 - 미국(United States of America)
샌타페이시에서 서쪽으로 190㎞ 떨어진 곳에 위치한다. 넓이는 30.4㎢이다. 아메리카 원주민인 아나사지족의 고도로 발달한 문화를 볼 수 있는 곳이다. 이 유적지는 1849년 제임스 H.심프신에 의해 알려졌으나 미국의 대부호인 하이드 형제가 1896∼1897년에 처음으로 발굴하였다. 그리고 이후 계속된 발굴에 의하여 유적지가 900∼1150년에 건설되었고 전성기는 11세기였으며 미국의 원주민이 이룩한 문화 중에서는 가장 발달한 문화로 밝혀졌다.
