Stjepan Hauser (1986 - ) is a Croatian cellist
34세의 첼리스트 스테판 하우저(Stjepan Hauser)는 21개의 국제 대회에서
우승해왔고, 여러 메이저 오케스트라와 함께 솔로이스트로서 전세계 각지를
돌아다녔다. 런던에서의 대학생활 당시에는 나탈리아 파브루츠카야(Natalia
Pavlutskaya)에게 사사했는데, 당시 그는 명성 있는 그린위치 트리오(Greenwich
Trio)의 멤버이기도 했다.
대학졸업 이후에는 맨체스터의 RNCM(Royal Northern College of Music)에서
랄프 커쉬바움(Ralph Kirshbaum)에게, 그리고 미국으로 넘어가면서는 버나드 그린
하우스(Bernard Greenhouse)에게 사사했다.
운 좋게도 거장 므스티슬라프 로스트로포비치(Mstislav Rostropovich)의 마
지막 제자들 중 하나이기도 했다. 스테판 하우저는 2006년 10월 이태리 플로렌스
에서 열린 로스트로포비치 공연의 갈라 콘서트를 위해 선택된 유일한 첼리
스트였다.
2007년 로스트로포비치가 서거하면서 스테판은 수많은 공연을 그에게 바친
바 있다고 한다. 영국의 찰스 왕세자 앞에서 버킹험 궁과 세인트 제임스 궁전에서
각각 공연했던 경력도 있다.
