빛의 바다
바다를 볼 때마다 저는 항상 바다 한가운데에 시선이 고정되고, 그 아래 깊은 바닷속 세상을 상상하곤 합니다. 이 작품 "심해"는 투명한 유리를 통해 바라본 바다의 신비와 생명의 기운을 표현합니다. 작품에는 절제된 사각형 기둥 일곱 개가 적층 유리로 만들어져 있습니다. 유리는 저에게 매력적인 소재입니다. 유리의 투명함이 물과 닮아 있어, 쌓아 올릴수록 더욱 푸른 바다색을 띠기 때문입니다. 바다는 알 수 없는 비밀을 간직한 공간입니다. 산소는 생명의 근원이며, 심해는 오랜 세월 동안 신비로운 생명체를 탄생시켜 왔고, 지금도 끊임없이 생명체를 품고 있습니다. "심해"는 절제의 미학을 보여줍니다. 깊고 푸른 바다와 그 무한한 생명력을 상징하는 이 작품은 생명의 근원인 산소가 유리 기둥 사이의 빈 공간에 형상화되어 있는 모습을 표현합니다.

OCEAN OF LIGHT
Whenever I see the ocean, my eyes stay focused on the middle and then I imagine under the deep waters which is fantastic in my mind. This work "Deep Sea" represents the mysteries of the sea and its spirit of life seen through transparent glass, Here, there are seven restrained square pillars, which are made of laminated plated glass. The glass is an attractive material for me, for the transparency of the glass is similar to water, so the more they are stacked up, the more they take on the likeness of the ocean blue. The ocean is a space with an unknown secret, Oxygen is its origin of life while the deep sea has been existing and developing mysterious life forms and continues to bare living things consistently. "Deep Sea" shows an aesthetic of moderation. It symbolizes the deep blue sea and its infinite life force. The source of life gives shape in an imagery of oxygen into an empty sphere between spaces of glass.
