Daebak Korean BBQ is a korean barbeque restaurant in chinatown square. We feature authentic korean food as well as the highest quality cuts of meat available in the
chicagoland area. We are seeking hosts, servers, and serving assistants.
Servers:
Servers are expected to know about the cuts of beef and pork as well as the skills to properly cook them in front of the guests at their tables. Some of our clients may not speak English, so being comfortable and patient while serving guests who don’t
speak English is a requirement. Servers are expected to have tried Korean BBQ and we expect applicants to be familiar with Korean Cuisine. Servers have to be 21 years of
age or older to apply.
At least one year of serving experience is required to apply for this
position.
-Knowledge about meats
-Confident cooking meat in front of guests
-Comfortable and patient with non-English speaking guests
(Korean/Mandarin/Cantonese)
-Familiar with Korean food, must have tried Korean BBQ
-Friendly, Enthusiastic, Social
-21+ years of age
-1+ years of experience
Pay:
Servers are paid by their own tips, there will be a bussing staff so servers will tip out. On certain busy days, there will be extra tip out for server assistants. The tips are not pooled, meaning the better of a server you are, the more you will make. There are
rumors circulating that the servers here make a lot of tips, I cannot deny that rumor.
Serving assistants:
Serving assistants are expected to help servers maintain tables. What that means is that you will be refilling anything the tables might need and other miscellaneous requests by the table. Serving assistants main job will be to set up tablescorrectly after the server has taken the order as well as making sure the meats are taken care of. This position can be used to segway into being a server.
No experience is required for this position, however, motivation and enthusiasm to begin working in the
industry is required.

Pay:
The pay will be \$6 per hour plus tip out from the servers. The tip out is chosen based on the sales of the night and can vary from \$50 to \$150 per dinner service in addition to hourly.
Hosts:
Hosts are the first person the guests will meet when entering the restaurant.
Hosts are expected to greet the guest with a smile and facilitate the seating of the guests. Hosts are expected to be socially friendly and polite at all times, so it helps if you are naturally inclined to be so. A decent portion of our guests may not speak English, so hosts are expected to be patient and comfortable with these guests. No
experience is required, however hosts with previous experience will be chosen over those without.

-No experience necessary, but is highly recommended.
Pay:
Hosts are paid hourly but the wage is dependent on merit and experience. Hosts with no experience start at \$12 per hour and there will be incremental raises as the host gains more experience. If the host has previous experience, they will start at \$12 per hour for the first couple weeks(usually shorter) to gauge performance. After that period, the host will be given a raise immediately depending on the first couple weeks’ performance.

작성자jc4yankees 작성시간 18.08.18 We were there last night (party of 4). It appeared that the server for our table was not able to handle the pressure of being "busy". The server told us to cook the meat on our own since he's "really busy" LOL
Please train your staff properly.
