이제는 율법 외에 하나님의 한 의가 나타났으니 율법과 선지자들에게 증거를 받은 것이라 곧 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 말미암아 모든 믿는 자에게 미치는 하나님의 의니 차별이 없느니라모든 사람이 죄를 범하였으매 하나님의 영광에 이르지 못하더니 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 구속으로 말미암아 하나님의 은혜로 값 없이 의롭다 하심을 얻은 자 되었느니라 이 예수를 하나님이 그의 피로 인하여 믿음으로 말미암는 화목 제물로 세우셨으니 이는 하나님께서 길이 참으시는 중에 전에 지은 죄를 간과하심으로 자기의 의로우심을 나타내려 하심이니 곧 이 때에 자기의 의로우심을 나타내사 자기도 의로우시며 또한 예수 믿는 자를 의롭다 하려 하심이니라 그런즉 자랑할 데가 어디뇨 있을 수가 없느니라 무슨 법으로냐 행위로냐 아니라 오직 믿음의 법으로니라 그러므로 사람이 의롭다 하심을 얻는 것은 율법의 행위에 있지 않고 믿음으로 되는줄 우리가 인정하노라 로마서 3:21-28
But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where then is boasting? It is excluded By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. Romans 3:21-28
칭찬은 고래도 춤추게 합니다. 그런데 성경은 말하기를 “도가니로 은을, 풀무로 금을, 칭찬으로 사람을 시련하느니라.” 잠언 27:21 고 합니다. 사람이 칭찬을 듣는 것이 일종의 연단이 된다는 말입니다. 그것은 불처럼 마음을 괴롭게 합니다. 만일 당신이 이 말을 공감한다면 당신은 하나님의 의에 한 걸음 다가설 수 있습니다. 그래서 칭찬에 대해 잠언은 “타인으로 너를 칭찬하게 하고 네 입으로는 말며외인으로 너를 칭찬하게 하고 네 입술로는 말찌니라.” 잠언 27:2고 하였고 바울은 “옳다 인정함을 받는 자는 자기를 칭찬하는 자가 아니요 오직 주께서 칭찬하시는 자니라.” 고린도후서 10:18 고 하였습니다.
Praise makes even a whale dance. However, the Bible mentioned about praise, “The crucible is for silver and the furnace for gold, And each is tested by the praise accorded him.” Proverb 27:21 If you agree with this, you might be far from the righteousness of God. So it tells us more, “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.” Proverb 27:2 and Paul said, “For it is not he who commends himself that is approved, but he whom the Lord commends.” 2 Corinthians 10:18
남들 앞에 자기 자신을 스스로 칭찬하는 사람은 여전히 마음이 비어서 다른 사람에게 인정을 갈구하는 것입니다. 그러나 이미 마음에 만족을 가진 사람은 더 이상 바라는 것이 없어서 스스로를 자랑하지 않아도 되고 다른 사람들은 그것을 알고 인정하게 됩니다. 그러나 그것보다 더욱 가치 있는 것은 하나님께 의로 인정받는 것입니다. 그러나 흔히 “의인은 믿음으로 살리라. 아브라함이 하나님을 믿으니 이를 의로 여기셨더라.”라고 하니 뭔지도 모르고 무조건 자신이 의인이라고 믿으면 의인이 되는 줄로 압니다. 그러니 의인이라는 말에 대해서는 감동도 없고 감사도 없고 마치 물건 사러갈 때 주는 광고지처럼 밖에 여겨지지 않는 형편입니다.
Those who praise themselves in front of others are to require compassion from them, that is because they still feel empty in their heart. In contrast, those who satisfy in their heart don’t need anything more, so they would not praise themselves, while others recognize that. However, more precious thing is to be recognized to God as righteous. But for the scripture, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.", people used to think the righteousness as like buy 1 get 1 free without gratitude or impression.
의롭다 함은 쉽게 말하면 잘했다고 칭찬을 받는다는 말입니다. 여기에서 칭의, 곧 의롭다 하심에 대해 별 느낌이 없게 되는 현상이 나타납니다. 왜냐하면 실제로 하나님 앞에 옳다함을 받는 것은 우리가 행위적으로 무엇을 잘해서가 아니라 오직 그리스도의 의를 입혀주신 것이기 때문입니다.엄밀하게 보면 다른 사람, (그것이 비록 주님일지라도)이 내게 해 준 일 때문에 내가 의롭다 함을 받는다는 것은 별 감흥이 없을 수밖에 없습니다. 그러나 이 칭의에 대한 언급은 분명한 사실입니다. 하나님께서는 성경을 통하여 우리에게 허언을 하시지 않으십니다.
Speaking easily, being righteous reveals to be praised. Here is the reason why people does not feel anything regarding to the righteousness, that is because the righteousness of God is to be given by Christ, not according to any result of our effort or achievement. Precisely, because of what someone else , even the Lord, has done for us, we are going to be considered to be righteous, it might not be grateful. However, being righteousness is the fact, whether we feel grateful or not. Thing for us is to know how we are righteous in front of God.
하나님께서는 창조주시라도 모든 것을 무례히 행치 아니하시므로 구속도 우리 인간들이 이해하고 받아들일 수 있는 방식을 좇아 행하십니다. 그래서 역사를 통해 예언하시고 때를 따라 성취하시고 또 친히 사람이 되어 오셔서 사람의 삶을 사시고 친히 인간의 상실과 죽음까지 겪으신 것입니다. 그리고 인간이 가지는 시공의 제한이나 인격의 벽도 상관없는 하나님과 같은 인간으로 부활하셨습니다. 이 모든 일은 오직 하나님께서 우리에게 연합하시기 위해 친히 하신 일들입니다. 이 모든 사실을 듣고 우리는 마음에 생각하기를 ‘아, 하나님이 사람이 되셨고 그렇게 부활하셨다면 그 이유가 내 죽은 영혼에 연합하시기 위한 것이라면 참 감사한 일이다. 그렇게 된 일이구나.’하고 믿을 수 있게 된 것입니다. 그것이 우리가 가지는 믿음입니다.
Even God, the Creator, would not do anything rude, so redemption as well shall be proceeded in the way that man can accept and understand. Through the whole history, He had prophesied and fulfilled in time, being incarnated to live the life of man, experiencing even death. And He resurrected as God like Man to destroy every restriction of space and time and the rule of the cause and result. All these thing had been fulfilled for the sake of us to make unification. So when we listen to this news, we can think, ‘Ah, God became Man and resurrected in that way to make the unification with us, then, that must be grateful.’ That is the way we believe in the Lord.
내가 증거하노니 저희가 하나님께 열심이 있으나 지식을 좇은 것이 아니라 하나님의 의를 모르고 자기 의를 세우려고 힘써 하나님의 의를 복종치 아니하였느니라 로마서 10:2-3 자기의 의는 비단 보이는 자신의 실적이나 성과를 자랑하는 것만이 아닙니다. 바울이 여기서 말하는 것은 신앙의 열심을 두고 하는 것입니다. 사람들은 신앙과 관련된 일은 다 하나님의 의를 이루는 것이라고 생각하곤하지만 그것도 역시 자기의 의를 세우는 일이 될 수 있다는 것입니다. 그러므로 무엇이 자의이며 무엇이 하나님의 의를 이루는 일인지를 몰라서는 안될 것입니다.
For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. Romans 10:2-3 Righteousness of self includes not only any achievement of self but also the enthusiasm of faith, that was the point of Pual here. Even some activity of faith as well might be the praise of self. So we need to know what the righteousness of God and self.
하나님의 의를 입는 것, 즉 하나님 앞에 옳다 인정을 받고 잘했다 칭찬을 받는 것은 우선 감정적으로 체험되는 일이 아닙니다. 사람에게 칭찬을 듣는 것처럼 하나님께서 칭찬을 해주지 않으십니다. 칭찬에 대해 잠언에 말한 것처럼 “타인으로 너를 칭찬하게 하고 네 입으로는 말며 외인으로 너를 칭찬하게 하고 네 입술로는 말찌니라.”는 것은 나의 마음가짐을 말하는 것입니다. 내가 자랑하지 않아도 타인이 내 가진 것이 부러워 입에 발린 칭찬을 할 수도 있습니다. 심지가 굳은 사람은 그런 칭찬을 받을 때 마음에 괴로움을 느낍니다. 왜냐하면 거기에서 의로움에 대한 자신의 태도가 위협을 받고 변동될 수도 있기 때문입니다.
To be righteous in front of God, I mean, the righteous of God is not to be experienced in emotion. God used not to praise in the way people would do that. The scripture of Proverb regarding to praise, “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips,” reveals our attitude of mind. Sometimes others can praise I, admiring. Man of good heart might be struggled from even that praise. That is because it might change the attitude for the righteousness.
내가 자랑으로 삼는 것은 무엇이 내 자신이며 내 자신의 실체인가를 결정짓게 하는 것입니다. 자기 입술로 말고 외인으로 자신을 칭찬하게 하라는 것은 그것을 기다리라는 말이 아닙니다. 다른 사람이 칭찬을 해 주지 않아도, 내가 자랑하지 않아도 괜찮다는 말이기도 합니다만 그보다 더 다른 의미가 있습니다. 그것은 내가 나 자신을 자랑할 수 있는 것이 겉에 있지 않고 인격의 가장 깊은 곳에 있음을 시인하는 것입니다. 하나님의 칭찬은 말로나 소유로 나타나는 것이 아니라 인격의 회복으로 나타납니다. 우리의 인식과 관심이 겉에 있지 않고 주와 연합함에 있게 될 때 이를 마음으로 믿는다고 표현하신 것입니다. 즉 우리가 살아나는 것과 하나님 앞에 의롭다 함을 입는 것이 나 자신의 심령의 상태가 주와 연합된 자신을 자랑하게 되어 있음을 두고 하시는 칭찬입니다.
What I consider as a pride defines who I am. The scripture, “Let another praise you,” does not reveal you need to wait for it, instead, you won’t need to be praised for that, because you are full on it already. But there is more, that is, the pride of myself is not on outward personality, but one the innermost being. The praise of God won’t be rewarded not as a word, but through the restoration of the personality. If our interest and recognition is not on the facial thing but one the unification, that is to be in faith. So when we are proud of myself in the status of unification with the Lord, that is to be righteous in front of God.
