남은 밥 Leftover Fragment
또 이사야가 이스라엘에 관하여 외치되 이스라엘 뭇자손의 수가 비록 바다의 모래 같을찌라도 남은 자만 구원을 얻으리니 주께서 땅 위에서 그 말씀을 이루사 필하시고 끝내시리라 하셨느니라. 로마서 9:27-28
Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, "THOUGH THE NUMBER OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL BE LIKE THE SAND OF THE SEA, IT IS THE REMNANT THAT WILL BE SAVED; FOR THE LORD WILL EXECUTE HIS WORD ON THE EARTH, THOROUGHLY AND QUICKLY." Romans 9:27-28
‘동구밭 과수원길 아카시아 꽃이 활짝 폈네~’라는 동요가 있습니다. 좋은 곡입니다. 하지만 식민지 국토를 황폐화하려는 목적으로 제국주의가 심는 나무가 아카시아라는 것을 알고나면 즐겁게 부를 노래는 아니라고 봅니다. 아카시아 나무는 뿌리가 심지어 20m에까지 이르러서 근본적으로 제거하기가 어렵다고 합니다. 하지만 성경에서는 이렇게 뿌리가 죽지 않는 것을 비교하여 소망을 이야기 하고 있습니다. “밤나무, 상수리나무가 베임을 당하여도 그 그루터기는 남아 있는 것 같이 거룩한 씨가 이 땅의 그루터기니라.” 이사야 6:13 누가 남은 자일까요?

However, the Bible tells us about hope comparing the stump won’t be dead, saying, "Yet there will be a tenth portion in it, And it will again be subject to burning, Like a terebinth or an oak Whose stump remains when it is felled The holy seed is its stump." Isaiah 6:13 Who is the remnant?
먹다가 남은 밥은 늘 어머니들, 여자들 몫으로 돌아갑니다. 그래서 며느리 앞에서 아들이 한 말이’우리 엄마는 생선 머리를 좋아해’였다는 웃지 못할 이야기도 있습니다. 주께서 보리떡 다섯개와 물고기 두마리로 5000명 넘는 사람들을 먹이실 때 먹고 남은 부스러기들을 버리지 말고 바구니에 담게 하신 것이 열두바구니에 가득차게 되었습니다. “다 배불리 먹고 남은 조각을 열 두 바구니에 차게 거두었으며” 마태복음 14:20 한국 식문화에서 본다면 이는 먹고 남은 밥을 모은 것입니다. 또한 당시에도 음식을 먹은 사람을 여자와 아이를 제외하고 숫자를 세었습니다. 어떤 면에서는 이 남은 조각들과 함께 여자와 아이라는 소외된 사람들이 동일한 의미에서 부각되고 있음을 알수 있습니다. 주님의 비교로부터 우리는 이 남은 조각이 사람들을 가리키고 있음을 알 수 있습니다. 그리고 이 이적을 이야기 할 때 보통은 5000명에 집중하지만 실은 여자와 아이처럼 온전한 조각이 아닌 남은 부스러기를 집중해야 함을 말씀하신 것입니다.
In the tradition of Korean, leftover will be the portion of mom, or woman. So it is a ridiculous joke that a son told his wife, ‘My mom likes head of fish.’ When Jesus gave a miracle to feed 5000 thousand people with five fish and two bread, He commanded the disciples not throw the leftover fragment but to gather to put it in the baskets, which was twelve baskets full. “They picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve full baskets.” Matthew 14:20 It was what left over of the broken pieces, while women and children were excluded in this count. In some meaning, this what left over of the broken pieces was focused on what the Lord was interested in, which was the excluded. In this record of the incident, people used to remember the 5000 men, but Jesus taught us to focus on the leftover, the remnant.
노아를 이야기 할 때 방주지은 것을 기억합니다. 솔로몬은 성전을 짓고, 모세는 출애굽의 역사를 이루었다고 말합니다. 그러나 정작 그 분들도 그렇게 생각했을까요? 자신들이 한 일들을 스스로의 성취나 업적으로 여겼을까요? 우리는 신앙과 삶에서 무언가를 자신이 이루었다고 여기고 그것으로 위안을 삼습니다. 그것에 자신을 맡기며 자신을 지켜줄 무엇이라고 여깁니다. 노아가 지은 방주가 아라랏 산에 머물고 새로운 세상에서 살게 되었을 때 노아는 포도나무를 심고 술을 만들어 취하게 되고 장막에서 옷을 벗고 잠이 들었습니다. 자식들이 한 일로 인해서 혹은 저주로 혹은 축복으로 상황들이 전개되지만 실상 노아의 상태가 나타내는 것은 오로지 여호와로 충만하다는 표현으로 볼 수 있습니다.
People remember Noah with his Ark, Solomon with the Temple, and Moses made the work of Exodus. However, how about themselves? Would they had thought in such way, considering things happened in that time as their own achievement? People seek for something what they have achieved in their lives and faith, considering all those thing as their protection. When the Ark had landed in the Mount Ararat, Noah and his family had been settle down to cultivate vineyard to make wine, and one day he was drunken to be naked in his tent. According to the attitude of his sons, bless and curse had been recorded, but we can see that incident as the description which he was full with God only, considering nothing as his own protection, which was to be naked.
아담과 해와가 처음 지음 받았을 때 저들이 벌거벗었으나 부끄러워하지 아니하였더라는 것이 오직 여호와로 충만이라는 표현입니다. 우리는 단점이 발견되면 스스로 용납하지 못합니다. 그것을 수치로 여기기도 합니다. 남들과 같지 않으면 또 힘들어 하기도 합니다. 외모나 소유가 자신의 참 자아라고 여기기도 합니다. 그러나 오직 여호와로 연합하고 주와 동행하는 삶에서 충만함을 느끼는 것은 흙으로 지어져 소멸성을 가지고 있더라도 전혀 상관 없는 그런 충만입니다. 우리의 충만은 우리가 무엇을 성취했다고 그것을 나의 업적이나 소유로 삼아 그 아래에서 안위하고 있는 그런 것이 아닙니다. 오직 여호와와 함께 즐거워하고 그 연합에 거하며 주와 동행하는 삶은 많은 것이 지나가도록 남아 있는 것입니다.
When Adam and Eve were made, naked but not be shameful, which reveals they were full with God only. We used not to be tolerant against our defect, considering it shameful. We’d better be like others, considering appearance or possession as self. But the fullness with God, the unification, even it contain the characteristics to be extinctive, which does not matter. Our fullness is not depend on any achievement or possession, but is only with God, being pleased, being passed by many things, still remaining.
스스로의 힘으로가 아닌 동행하는 삶에서 얻어지는 그런 충만입니다. 노아가 아무 것도 소유하지 않고 벌거벗은 것은 오직 주와 동행하는 삶에서 얻어진 남은 자의 충만함이었습니다. 성취하는 자는 소유를 자신이라 여기고 주와 동행 중에 남은 자는 오직 주와 연합 안에서 충만합니다. 그러나 세상은 하나님을 마음에 두기 싫어하고 오직 이성으로 왕을 삼아 살아가는 땅의 문화에 있기 때문에 그 모든 환경이 남은 자에게 고난과 역경으로 다가올 수 있을 것입니다. 이를 두고 요한계시록은 “용이 여자에게 분노하여 돌아가서 그 여자의 남은 자손 곧 하나님의 계명을 지키며 예수의 증거를 가진 자들로 더불어 싸우려고 바다 모래 위에 섰더라.” 요한계시록 12:17 라고 말하고 있습니다.
That fullness is not to be get with our own effort but in the path of walking with the Lord. Noah did not possess anything what he had done, except for walking with the Lord, which had been revealed to be naked, that is his fullness. Those who would like to achieve will consider possessions as self, while those who would remain in walking with the Lord will be full in unification. However, this world is filled with those who dislike to let God be in their heart, every situation might be encountered as sufferings, which is said, “So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Revelation 12:17
이제 우리는 이사야가 한 예언 속에 하나님의 하시는 말씀을 듣습니다. “또 이사야가 이스라엘에 관하여 외치되 이스라엘 뭇자손의 수가 비록 바다의 모래 같을찌라도 남은 자만 구원을 얻으리니 주께서 땅 위에서 그 말씀을 이루사 필하시고 끝내시리라.” 로마서 9:27-28 “밤나무, 상수리나무가 베임을 당하여도 그 그루터기는 남아 있는 것 같이 거룩한 씨가 이 땅의 그루터기니라.” 이사야 6:13 우리는 세상이 어찌 변하고 환경이 도와주지 아니할찌라도 오직 여호와 안에서 주와 동행하는 가운데 남아 있을 뿐입니다. 세상은 우리의 약점과 단점을 지적하고 실망하게 할 것이나 오직 주님은 오늘도 부스러기 남은 자를 버리지 말고 바구니에 담으십니다. 그리고 우리의 받은 복음은 처음 받은 것을 그대로 지키는 것입니다. 주께서 우리와 연합하시고 동행하시는 것, 우리는 늘 거기에 남아 있습니다.
Now we listen to the Word of God, prophesied by Isaiah, saying, "THOUGH THE NUMBER OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL BE LIKE THE SAND OF THE SEA, IT IS THE REMNANT THAT WILL BE SAVED; FOR THE LORD WILL EXECUTE HIS WORD ON THE EARTH, THOROUGHLY AND QUICKLY." Romans 9:27-28 "Yet there will be a tenth portion in it, And it will again be subject to burning, Like a terebinth or an oak Whose stump remains when it is felled The holy seed is its stump." Isaiah 6:13 The outward world must be changed rapidly, even not in friendly way, we are just in abide in the Lord to walk with though. The outward world blame us our defect and insufficiency, however, our Lord command not to threw the leftover fragment to put it in the basket. We just keep the Gospel which we have received from the first time, being remained.
