| 천성경 (증) - 260. 지금은 해양시대 1 생명의 조상과 같은 것이 물입니다. 하나님 대신 물을 사랑해야 한다는 생각을 해야 됩니다. 바다를 사랑해야 됩니다. 경치가 좋은 데는 물이 없으면 안 되고, 수림이 없으면 안 됩니다. 그것이 물의 조화입니다. 물은 형태를 갖지 않습니다. 절대적인 개성은 갖고 있지만 형태를 갖지 않습니다. 무엇에 담든지 거기에 맞추는 것입니다. 물에 대한 철학만 해득한다면, 성경 66권을 완성할 수 있고 하나님의 아들딸이 다 될 수 있습니다. 그런 말이 가능하다는 것입니다. 2 침례의식은 물에 들어가 다시 태어나라는 것입니다. 물은 모든 생명의 원천이기 때문에 그곳에서 깨끗이 돼서 다시 태어나라는 뜻도 있습니다. 그리고 물을 매일같이 보고 이렇게 움직이는 것을 보게 된다면, 자연히 내 마음도 움직이기 때문에 내 몸의 피도 정화된다는 것입니다. 물이 흘러갈 때 물과 더불어 내 마음도 흘러간다 하고 더러운 것이 다 깨끗이 씻어지는 것을 느껴 봤습니까? 그래서 물을 사랑하자는 것입니다. 물을 사랑하는 것은, 생명을 가진 모든 인간이나 모든 만물이 거기에 달려 있기 때문에 만물을 사랑하는 것이 됩니다. 이것은 원천적인 생각입니다. 물을 사랑하는데 밥 바리 물을 사랑하겠습니까, 호수 물을 사랑하겠습니까, 바닷물을 사랑하겠습니까? 매일같이 바다에 나가야 되겠습니까, 안 나가야 되겠습니까? 바람이 불어서 물결이 이는데, 배를 타면 피가 출렁출렁하기 때문에 피가 썩을 수 없습니다. 전부 정화된다는 것입니다. 바다에서 배운다 3 강이 아무리 많고 크다 하더라도 강은 어차피 대해로 들어갑니다. 대해로 들어가게 되면 전부 섞이게 마련입니다. 오대양을 중심삼고 보면 태평양에는 흑조(黑潮)라는 것이 있어서 4천 마일을 돌고 있습니다. 물론 달의 인력에 의해서도 그렇지만, 이렇게 도는 흑조가 있기 때문에 오대양 전체를 움직일 수 있는 것입니다. 그것이 바다의 기둥 역할을 하고 있습니다. 더러운 것이든 무엇이든 들어오면 그걸 전부 섞어서 하나의 모습을 취하려고 하는 것이 바다입니다. 아무리 큰 강물이 담수를 계속적으로 몇 만년 투입하더라도 그것을 전부 흡수하고 남을 수 있는 여유가 있기 때문에 바다에 권위가 있습니다. 바다는 얼마든지 들어가더라도 변하지 않는 자세를 갖추고 있기 때문에 위대하다는 것입니다. 4 자연은 속임수가 없습니다. 높으면 높고 낮으면 낮습니다. 높은 데 있으면 이의 없이 공급해 줍니다. 선생님이 그것을 배워서 높지만 이의 없이 공급해 주는 것입니다. 이국땅에 가더라도 나보다 못살면 내 창고를 열어서 내 쌀이 떨어지는 한이 있더라도 전부 나눠 줍니다. 수평이 되게 합니다. 그것이 다 물에서 배운 것입니다. 그래서 물을 좋아합니다. 거기에 사는 고기들은 심판을 안 받았습니다. 선생님이 하나님 앞에 제물을 바칩니다. 첫 번에 잡는 고기를 크든 작든 전부 놓아주는 것입니다. 선생님만은 처음 잡은 것은 크든 작든 놓아주는 것입니다. 그것이 얼마나 멋진 일인지 모릅니다. 5 바다가 잔잔할 때는 신비스럽습니다. 매혹적인 신비의 여왕같이 미녀가 되어서 모든 사람들을 끌어들이는 힘이 있습니다. 바다는 은빛으로도 보이지만 비취색으로도 보입니다. 천태만상입니다. 거기에 살랑 바람이 불면 그 물결의 아름다움이라는 것은, 무희가 아무리 춤을 잘 추더라도 거기에 따를 수 없습니다. 또 거기에 갈매기가 날고 있다고 생각해 보라는 것입니다. 앉아 있는 놈이 있는가 하면 나는 놈이 있고, 그때는 갈매기 소리가 슬퍼서 울든지 기뻐서 울든지 전부 아름다운 것으로 생각됩니다. 그리고 큰 파도가 높이 치솟다가 쏴악 하면 얼마나 멋진지 모릅니다. 금빛 같은 물방울이 퍼져 나가고, 그 물방울은 햇빛에 반짝거립니다. 그런 것을 보면 변화무쌍하다는 것입니다. 6 바다는 미녀와 같은, 무희와 같은 성질이 있는가 하면, 한번 성나면 광야에서 달려드는 사자보다도 더 무서운 것입니다. 몇 십 미터의 물결이 몰려오고 몰려갈 때에는 갈매기가 우는 것은 상대도 안 됩니다. ‘네가 아무리 노래를 잘하고, 네가 아무리 훌륭한 희극배우라 해도 웅장한 내 기세 앞에는 당하지 못한다!’ 하는 것입니다. 위세가 당당합니다. 7 자연의 힘은 위대합니다. 그렇기 때문에 바다를 사랑하는 사람은 교만할 수 없습니다. 바다에는 그런 위대함이 있습니다. 바다에는 무진장한 어족이 있습니다. 황금빛으로부터 금빛, 푸른 빛, 없는 색깔이 없을 정도로 많은 어족들이 살고 있습니다. 육지와 바닷속을 비교하면 어디가 더 아름답겠습니까? 육지에도 꽃과 나비, 그리고 아름다운 새가 있지만 그런 것은 단조롭습니다. 꽃은 움직이지 않는 것입니다. 바다에 있는 호화찬란한 색깔을 지닌 아름다운 모든 수족(水族)들은 춤을 추면서 활동합니다. 육지가 아름답습니까, 바다가 아름답습니까? 바다가 아름답습니다. 하나님이 왜 물을 만들어 놨을까요? 하나님이 감상하기 위한 특별장치가 물이라는 말도 할 수 있습니다. 딱 숨겨 두고 공개하지 않았다는 것입니다. 하나님은 육지보다 바다에 더 관심이 많을 것입니다. 8 사랑의 세계는 어디에 가든지 다 통하는 것입니다. 태평양 물이 생각할 때 ‘나는 태평양 물이야. 아시아 물은 전부 오염됐기 때문에 나는 싫어!’라고 합니까? 물이 어디서 흘러나오든 전부 꿰차는 것입니다. 거기에 나쁜 것이 있으면 그것을 섞어 빨리 해소시켜서 같은 길을 가려고 노력하는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 태평양 물은 아무리 공해가 심하더라도, 인류가 없어지는 한이 있더라도 여전히 푸를 것임에 틀림없습니다. 아무리 시련을 받고 우여곡절의 과정을 거치더라도 바닷물이 푸른빛을 점령당하지 않는 것과 마찬가지로, 사랑의 권위와 사랑의 내용과 사랑의 힘은 언제나 푸를 것입니다. 9 태풍이 불어올 때는 얼마나 물결이 밉고 바람이 무서운지 압니까? 그렇지만 저 바람도 자기 사명을 한다고 생각합니다. 만약에 바람이 안 불면, 바다에 물결이 없으면 고기가 못 삽니다. 바람이 부는 것은 바다에 산소를 공급하는 것입니다. 파도는 산소를 공급하는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 물결이 대로(大怒)하고 있더라도, 암만 바람이 불어와도 그 맛을 보면서 ‘네 맛을 잃지 않았구나!’라고 해야 됩니다. 바다는 짠맛을 갖고 있습니다. 그렇게 생각하면 물결이 밉지 않고, 몰아치는 파도가 밉지 않다는 것입니다. 바다에 철학이 얼마나 많은지 모릅니다. 육지에서만 산 사람은 저나라에 가서 이상적 활동을 하는 데에 상당히 지장이 많을 것입니다. 10 바다에 다녀 보면 참 배울 것이 많습니다. 하루에도 몇 번 변합니다. 세상에서 인심(人心)은 조석변(朝夕變)이라고 했지만, 바다는 조석변이 아니라 시시변(時時變)입니다. 시간마다 변하는 것입니다. 가만히 보면, 아무리 날이 좋다 하더라도 어느 골에 가게 되면 바람이 없지만 어느 골에 가게 되면 바람이 부는 것입니다. 큰 바람은 아니지만 전부 다릅니다. 사람의 얼굴이 다른 것과 마찬가지입니다. 물이 있고 산이 있으면 산이 높고 낮음에 따라 기후가 달라지는 것입니다. 바다는 천태만상의 묘미를 가지고 있습니다. 11 선생님은 시간만 있으면 바다에 나갔습니다. 바다에 나가서 부대낍니다. 그렇지만 그것이 정신을 가다듬어서 큰 싸움을 하기 위한 시련이고 준비라고 생각합니다. 잠도 못 자고 참 피로하지만 정신을 똑바로 차리고, 자기 스스로 그러한 표준을 정해서 이 평행선에서 딴 데로 기울어지지 않는 생활을 하고 있습니다. 12 바다의 세계를 모르는 사람은 그만큼 행복의 영역이 제한된다는 결론이 나옵니다. 창조주가 있다면 육지를 알고 바다를 잘 알아서 바다의 신비성을 생각하고 육지의 아름다움을 생각하면서 찬양하는 것을 좋아하지, 한 면만 가지고 좋아하지 않을 것이라는 것은 지극히 이론적인 말입니다. 13 바다를 봐도 바다를 그저 바다로만 보는 것이 아닙니다. 아버지께서 나에게 주신 선물이라고 보는 것입니다. 재창조하는 과정으로서 모든 것을 재감관(再感觀)한다는 것입니다. 여기서 위대한 혁명이 벌어집니다. 위대한 승리의 기치가 여기서 싹터 오르는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 모든 만물은 누구의 것이 되기를 원하느냐? 하나님의 사랑을 받는 사람의 것이 되고 싶어한다는 것입니다. 그것이 진리입니다. 하나님의 사랑을 받는 사람의 것이 되고 싶다는 것입니다. 미물인 동물로부터 모든 식물까지 하나님의 사랑을 받는 사람의 소유가 되고 싶어한다는 것입니다. 14 선생님은 자극적인 것을 좋아합니다. 변동이 많은 데서 뚫고 나가는 것입니다. 그러려면 육지보다도 바다가 더 낫습니다. 바다에는 바람도 불고 잔잔하기도 하고 풍랑이 몇 번씩 일고 변한다는 것입니다. 그래서 육지 여행보다도 바다 여행이 좋다는 것입니다. 이 땅은 다녀도 아침의 생각 그냥 그대로 변동이 없습니다. 육지야 아무리 다녀도 손 안 대고 점잖게 갈 수 있지만 바다는 그렇지 않습니다. 나는 이렇게 간다고 하는데 이리 갔다 저리 갔다 하는 것입니다. 그렇게 변합니다. 변화하는데 참으로 자극적인 변화가 있습니다. 잔잔할 때에는 육지가 무색할 정도입니다. 참으로 신기할 정도로 잔잔합니다. 어떤 때는 그 바닷물이 유리판 같은 기분이 날 때가 있습니다. 너무나 아름다워서 만지고 싶고, 너무나 먹고 싶다는 생각이 들 때가 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 ‘바다가 변화무쌍하지만 나는 간다.’라는 일념으로 전진해 갑니다. 그런 자극이 없어 가지고는 큰일을 할 수 없습니다. 15 선생님은 지금까지 개척자였습니다. 개척해서 선생님이 선두에 섰습니다. 우리 회사에서 배를 만들어서 선장이 없으면 선생님이 전부 데리고 바다에 나가는 것입니다. ‘바람아, 불어오너라. 파도야, 쳐라. 사나이 가는 길을 막을쏘냐? 하늘을 위하고 인류를 위해 후대에 생명을 이어받을 수 있는 식량문제를 여기서 해결하겠다.’라는 생각을 가지고 있습니다. 그거 멋진 사나이지요? 선생님은 그런 사나이를 좋아합니다. 거기에서 앞으로 살아남을 산 영화가 나올 것이고, 역사의 소용돌이가 거기서 풀릴 것입니다. 희비극이 교차하는, 멋진 사내들이 동경하며 가야 할 길이라는 것입니다. 그래서 세계를 넘어갈 수 있는 기지가 거기에 있다는 것입니다. 이럼으로써 바다에 나가는 수많은 젊은이들에게 희망을 줄 수 있습니다. 내일의 바다세계에 대한 꿈을 그릴 수 있는 하나의 원천이, 샘이 여기서 폭발하는 것입니다. 16 선생님이 열심히 바다로 나가는데, 그 마음을 잊어버리면 문제가 됩니다. 정성은 천년만년 계속 들여야 됩니다. 바다에 나가서 정성 들이는 것을 편안히 앉아서 하면 탕감조건이 안 서게 됩니다. 어제보다도 오늘이 낫고, 오늘보다도 내일이 나아야 됩니다. 앞으로 선생님이 굶어죽는 사람들을 구해 줄 때까지 그 정성을 들이면 선생님이 죽더라도 그 뜻이 이 땅 위에 이루어진다고 봅니다. 17 하나님이 절대사랑 때문에 창조한 만물들을 볼 때 하나님이 재미있게 지었다는 것입니다. 미래의 복지 천국을 중심한 가정에서 생활 필수요건을 갖추기에 충분하도록 다 만들어 놓았으니 얼마나 재미를 느끼겠느냐는 것입니다. 흐르는 물도 천지의 기능을 위한 것입니다. 바닷물이 수증기가 되어서 비를 내려 순환하면서 만물을 소생시키는 것입니다. 전부 협동권 내에서 상충이 아니라 전체가 협력해서 인간의 이상을 완성할 수 있게 되어 있다는 것입니다. 하나님의 생활적인 무대인 이 땅 위에서 하나님의 아들딸을 길러 천국으로 이양하자는 것입니다. 18 서양 사람들은 선생님이 한국 사람이지만 한국만을 위해 일한다고는 생각하지 않습니다. 세계를 위해서 일한다는 관념이 강합니다. 그래서 육지에서나 바다에서나 핍박을 받으면서도 대담하고 용감하게 세계적인 협회를 구성하고 있습니다. 그런 의미에서 일반 사상을 중심삼고 하는 것이 아니라 종교라는 배경을 중심삼고 이런 체제를 갖추어 해양교회라는 타이틀을 내걸었다는 것은 무서운 선언입니다. 이것은 선생님의 무서운 과제 설정입니다. 앞으로 해양교회를 해서 뭘 할 것이냐? 바다에 나가서 훈련이나 하는 것이 아닙니다. 바다를 점령하고 바다를 사랑하는 것입니다. 바다를 점령한다고 해서 뭘 어떻게 하는 것이 아닙니다. 창조주의 본의에 합당하게 바다를 관리하고, 바다를 사랑하는 의미에서 바다를 중심으로 세계를 결속할 수 있는 무대로 삼자는 것입니다. |
| 天聖経 (增) - 260. 今は海洋時代 1 生命の先祖のようなものが水です。神様の代わりに水を愛さなければならないと考えるべきです。海を愛さなければなりません。景色の良い所は水がなけれ ばならず、樹林がなければなりません。それが水の調和です。水は形態をもっていません。絶対的な個性をもっていますが、形態をもっていません。何に入れて も、そこに合わせるのです。水に対する哲学さえ会得すれば、聖書六十六巻を完成することができ、みな神様の息子、娘になることができます。そのような言葉 が成り立つというのです。 2 洗礼儀式は、水に入って再び生まれなさいということです。水はすべての生命の源泉なので、そこできれいになって再び生まれなさいという意味もありま す。水を毎日のように目にし、このように動くのを見れば、自然に「私」の心も動くので、「私」の体の血も浄化されるというのです。 水が流れていくとき、「水と共に、私の心も流れていく」と言って、汚れたものがすべてきれいに洗われるのを感じてみましたか。ですから、水を愛そうという のです。水を愛することは、生命をもったすべての人間や、すべての万物がそこにぶら下がっているので、万物を愛することになるのです。これは根本的な考え です。水を愛するとき、茶碗の水を愛しますか、湖の水を愛しますか、海の水を愛しますか。毎日のように海に出掛けなければなりませんか、出掛けてはいけま せんか。風が吹いて波が起きるのですが、船に乗ればざぶざぶと揺れるので、血が腐ることがないのです。すべて浄化されるというのです。 海から学ぶ 3 川がいくら多く、大きいとしても、川はいずれ大海に入っていくのです。大海に入れば、すべて混ざるようになっています。五大洋を中心として見てみれ ば、太平洋には黒潮というものがあり、四千マイルを回っています。もちろん、月の引力によることもありますが、このように回る黒潮があるので、五大洋全体 を動かせるのです。それが海の柱の役割をしているのです。汚いものでも何であっても、入ってくれば、それをすべて混ぜ合わせ、一つの姿になろうとするのが 海です。いくら大きな川が何万年も続けて淡水を投入したとしても、それをすべて吸収して余りある余裕があるので、海に権威があるのです。海は、どれほど 入っていっても変わらない姿勢を備えているので、偉大だというのです。 4 自然は、だますということがありません。高ければ高く、低ければ低いのです。高い所にいれば、異議なく供給してあげるのです。先生はそれを学んで、高 い所にいれば異議なく供給してあげるのです。異国の地に行っても、私よりも貧しければ、先生の倉庫を開き、米が底をつくことになっても、すべて分け与える のです。水平になるようにするのです。それはすべて、水から学んだことです。ですから、水を好むのです。そこに棲む魚は、裁きを受けていません。 先生は、神様のみ前に祭物を擦げます。最初に捕まえた魚は、大きくても小さくても、すべて放してあげるのです。先生だけは、最初に捕まえた物が大きくても 小さくても、放してあげるのです。それは、どれほどすてきなことか分かりません。 5 海が穏やかなときは、神秘的です。魅惑的な神秘の女王のような美女となり、すべての人々を引き込む力があります。海は銀色にも見えますが、翡翠(ひす い)色にも見えます。千態万象です。そこにそよそよと風が吹けば、その波の美しさは、舞姫がいくら上手に踊っても、それに比べることはできないのです。ま た、そこにかもめが飛んでいると考えてみてください。留まっているものがいるかと思えば飛んでいるものがおり、そのときはかもめの鳴き声が、悲しくて鳴こ うとも、うれしくて鳴こうとも、すべて美しく思われるのです。そして、大きな波が高くそびえ立って落ちるとき、どれほどすてきか分かりません。全色のよう な水の滴が飛び散り、その水滴は日の光を浴びて、きらきら輝くのです。そのようなものを見れば、変化無双だというのです。 6 海には美女のような、舞姫のような性質があるかと思えば、一度怒れば荒野で飛びかかってくるライオンよりも、もっと恐ろしいのです。何十メートルもの 波が押し寄せ、引いていくときは、かもめが鳴いても相手になりません。「お前がいくら上手に歌おうと、お前がいくら素晴らしい喜劇俳優だとしても、雄壮な 私の気勢の前にはかなわない！」と言うのです。威風堂々としています。 7 自然の力は偉大です。ですから、海を愛する人は、驕慢になることができません。海にはそのような偉大さがあります。海には無尽蔵の魚がいます。黄金か ら金色、青色と、ない色がないほど多くの魚が棲んでいます。 陸地と海の中を比較してみれば、どちらがより美しいでしょうか。陸地にも花と蝶、そして美しい鳥がいますが、それらのものは単調です。花は動きません。海 にいる豪華絢爛な色をもった美しいすべての生き物は、踊りながら活動するのです。陸地が美しいでしょうか、海が美しいでしょうか。海が美しいのです。神様 はなぜ水を造ったのでしょうか。神様が鑑賞するための特別装置が水だと言うこともできます。そっと隠しておいて公開しなかったというのです。神様は、陸地 より、海により多くの関心をもっているはずです。 8 愛の世界は、どこに行こうと、すべて通じます。太平洋の水が、「私は太平洋の水だ。アジアの水はすべて汚染されているので嫌だ」と考えるでしょうか。 水がどこから流れてこようと、すべて自分のものにするのです。そこに悪いものがあれば、それを混ぜて早く解消させ、同じ道を行こうと努力するのです。です から、太平洋の水は、いくら公害がひどくても、人類がいなくなることがあっても、変わらずに青々としていることは間違いありません。いくら試練を受けて紆 余曲折の過程を経たとしても、海の水の青い色が占領されないのと同じように、愛の権威と愛の内容と愛の力は、いつでも青々としているのです。 9 台風が吹くときは、どれほど波が憎らしく、風が恐ろしいか分かりますか。しかし、風も、自分の使命を果たしていると考えるのです。もし風が吹かず、海 に波がなければ、魚が棲むことができません。風が吹くのは、海に酸素を供給するためです。波は酸素を供給するのです。ですから、波が激しく怒り狂っていて も、どれほど風が吹いてこようとも、それを味わいながら、「お前の味を失っていないな！」と思わなければなりません。海は塩辛い味がするのです。そのよう に思えば、波を憎いとは思わず、押し寄せる大波も憎いとは思わないというのです。海にはどれほど多くの哲学があるか分かりません。陸地だけで生活した人 は、あの世に行って理想的な活動をするにおいて、相当多くの支障があるのです。 10 海に通ってみれば、本当に学ぶことがたくさんあります。一日に何度も変化します。世の中では、「人心は朝夕に変わる」と言いますが、海は、朝夕では なく時間ごとです。時間ごとに変わるのです。じっと見てみれば、いくら天候が良い時でも、ある場所では風がないのですが、他の場所に行くと風が吹くので す。強い風ではありませんが、すべて異なるのです。人の顔が異なるのと同じです。水があって山があれば、山の高低によって気候が変わります。海は千態万象 の妙味をもっているのです。 11 先生は、時間さえあれば海に出掛けました。海に行って、もまれるのです。しかし、それが精神を整えて大きな闘いをするための試練であり、準備だと考 えるのです。睡眠も取れず本当に疲れますが、精神をまっすぐに正し、自らそのような標準を定め、この平衡が取れた状態から他の所に傾かないような生活をし ているのです。 12 海の世界を知らない人は、それだけ幸福の領域が制限されるという結論が出ます。創造主がいれば、陸地を知り、海をよく知って、海の神秘性を思い、陸 地の美しさを思いながら賛美するのを喜ぶのであって、一面だけをもって喜んだりしないだろうというのは極めて理論的な話です。 13 海を見るとしても、海をただ海としてだけ見るのではありません。父が「私」に下さった贈り物として見るのです。再創造をする過程において、すべての 物を再び感じ取るというのです。ここで偉大な革命が起こります。偉大な勝利の旗がここから芽生えてくるのです。ですから、すべての万物は、誰のものになる ことを願うのですか。神様の愛を受ける人のものになりたいと思うのです。それが真理です。神様の愛を受ける人のものになりたいのです。微生物からすべての 植物まで、神様の愛を受ける人の所有になりたいと思うのです。 14 先生は、刺激的なことが好きです。変動の多い所から切り開いていくのです。そのようにするためには、陸地よりも海がもっと良いのです。海は風も吹 き、穏やかでもあり、波風が何度も起こって変化します。ですから、陸地の旅行よりも、海の旅行が良いというのです。 陸地は、歩き回っても朝の考えはそのままで、変動がありません。陸地はいくら歩き回っても、手をつけずにおとなしく行くことができますが、海はそうではあ りません。「私」がこのように行こうと思っても、あっちに行ったりこっちに行ったりするのです。そのように変わります。変化するときに、本当に刺激的な変 化があるのです。穏やかなときは、陸地が顔負けするほどです。本当に不思議なほど穏やかなのです。 あるときは、その海面がガラスの板に思えるときがあります。あまりにも美しくて、触ったり食べたりしたいと思うときがあります。ですから、「海は限りなく 変化するが、それでも私は行く」という一念で前進していくのです。そのような刺激がなければ、大きなことを成し遂げることはできません。 15 先生は、今まで開拓者でした。開拓して先生が先頭に立ちました。私たちの会社で船を造り、船長がいなければ、先生がすべて連れて海に出ていくので す。「風よ、吹け。波よ、打て。男の行く道を塞ぐのか。天と人類のために、後代に生命を引き継ぐ食糧問題を、ここで解決する」という思いをもっています。 それは素晴らしい男でしょう?先生は、そのような男がよいのです。 そこから、今後、生きたサバイバル映画のようなものができ、歴史の渦がそこから解かれるでしょう。悲喜劇が交差し、素晴らしい男たちが憧れながら行くべき 道だというのです。それで、世界を越えていける基地がそこにあるというのです。これによって、海に出ていく数多くの若者たちに希望を与えることができま す。あすの海の世界に対する夢を描ける一つの源泉が、ここから爆発するのです。 16 先生は熱心に海に出掛けますが、その心を忘れてしまえば問題が生じます。精誠というものは、千年、万年続けなければなりません。海に出ていって精誠 を尽くすとき、楽に座ってやれば蕩減条件が立ちません。きのうよりもきょうが良くなり、きょうよりもあすが良くならなければなりません。今後、先生が飢え 死にする人々を救ってあげる時まで、その精誠を尽くすなら、先生が死んだとしても、そのみ旨はこの地上に成し遂げられると思うのです。 17 神様が絶対愛のために創造した万物を見れば、神様が楽しみながら造ったというのです。未来の福地天国を中心とした家庭において、十分に生活必須要件 を備えられるよう、すべて造っておいたので、どれほど楽しさを感じるだろうかというのです。流れる水も、天地が機能するためのものです。海から水蒸気にな り、雨を降らせて循環しながら万物を蘇生させるのです。すべてが協同圏内で、相反することなく全体が協力し、人間の理想を完成できるようになっているとい うのです。神様の生活舞台であるこの地上で、神様の息子、娘を育て、天国に移譲しようというのです。 18 西洋人は、先生が韓国人でも、韓国だけのために仕事をしているとは思っていません。世界のために仕事をしているという観念が強いのです。それで、陸地にお いても海においても、迫害を受けながらも雄々しく、勇敢に世界的な協会を構成しているのです。 そのような意味で、一般の思想を中心として行っているのではなく、宗教という背景を中心としてこのような体制を整え、「オーシャンチャーチ(海洋教会)と いうタイトルを掲げたということは驚くべき宣言です。これは、先生の驚くべき課題設定です。 今後、海洋教会をして何をするのでしょうか。海に出ていって訓練するという、その程度のものではありません。海を占領し、海を愛するのです。海を占領する といっても、何をどうするというのではありません。創造主の本意に合うように海を管理し、海を愛する意味から、海を中心に世界を結束できる舞台にしようと いうのです。 |
| Cheon Seong Gyeong Ⅱ - 260. The Era of the Ocean 1 Water is like the progenitor of life. So we need to love water, which also represents God. We need to love the ocean. In every scenic spot there are beautiful forests and bodies of water. Water creates harmony. Water has an absolute character but no form. It fits the shape of whatever contains it. If you understand the philosophy of water, it is like perfecting the sixty-six books of the Bible and being able to become a son or daughter of God.( 262-292,19940801) 2 The Christian ceremony of baptism involves going into the water and being born again. Since every living thing starts from water, which is the origin of life, you can go into the water and come out clean and reborn. If you observe water every day and let your mind move with it, the blood of your body will be refined. While gazing at flowing water, have you ever felt that your mind is being washed clean? We need to love water. I am saying that loving water is the same as loving all of creation. This is a fundamental idea. When loving water, should you love lake water or seawater? Should you go out to the sea every day or not? If you are on a boat with the winds blowing and the waves running high, your blood swirls around and never goes bad. Your blood is purified.( 262-292,19940801) Learning from the sea 3 No matter how numerous they are, how large or small, all rivers flow toward the vast oceans. Once they reach them, all their waters are mixed together. The Black Current flows in the Pacific and is one of the currents that circulates through thousands of miles among the five great oceans. This is possible because of the moon's gravitational pull. Because these currents circulate in this way, the five great oceans can all be in motion. They act as the supporting pillars of the entire ocean system. When filth and other things come into the ocean waters, they are all mixed up and move toward becoming one. This is the purpose of the ocean. Even if a large river were to constantly supply fresh water for tens of thousands of years, the ocean has the ability to absorb it all and still have room to spare. The ocean is great because it remains unchanged, no matter what enters it.( 210-202,19901223) 4 There is no deception in nature. If a place is high, it is high, and if it is low, it is low. Nature will equally supply the higher place and the lower place without objection. I have learned from nature to give everything freely without objection. When I go to a foreign land and find people who have less than I have, I open my storehouses and share all my rice even though I might have none left for myself. I do this to make things even. I learned that from water. For this reason, I like water. God’s judgment did not touch the fish living in the water. I always prepare offerings in front of God. I always release the first fish I catch, whether it is big or small. You have no idea how wonderful it is to release at least the first fish!( 300-141,19990302) 5 The ocean, when calm, is mystical. It has the power to draw people in like a captivating, beautiful woman, a queen of mystery. The ocean may look silver, but it can also take on a jade color. At other times the sea assumes other hues. No matter how well a girl may dance, her beauty cannot compare with that of the ripples stirred by the passing of a gentle breeze on the water. Imagine the seagulls at the ocean. Some are sitting and floating on the water, others are flying. All of them are calling; whether their cries are sad or joyful, they all sound beautiful. How wonderful it is when the waves rise up and swoosh down. They are tipped with gold as they sparkle in the sunshine. When we see this, we are amazed by the seas unending changes.( 128-250,19830828) 6 The ocean is like a beautiful woman. Sometimes it resembles a dancing girl. But once it gets upset, it can be more furious than a lion springing at you in the wilderness. Sometimes the waves are more than ten meters high, rising and falling. The cries of the seagulls cannot compare with that sound. The waves seem to say to them, "No matter how well you sing, or how good a comic actor you may be, you cannot compare with the grand force of my fury" The waves are so audacious.( 128-250,19830828) 7 Natures power is enormous. That is why people who love the ocean cannot be arrogant. The ocean has that kind of greatness. If you peek into the deep ocean, you will find all kinds of fish living there: fish that are gold in color, others that are yellow and blue, and even fish that are colorless. When you compare the land with the ocean, which is more beautiful? The land, with its variety of birds, flowers and butterflies, is beautiful but limited. Flowers do not move. Land dwellers pale in comparison with the profusion of beautiful sea creatures that dance about in dazzling, brilliant colors. So which is more beautiful, the land or the ocean? The ocean is more beautiful. Why did God create water? We can say that He made it specially for His own enjoyment. He hid its depths away and did not open them to the public. God probably had more interest in the ocean than in the land.( 128-251,19830828) 8 In the world of love, you can go anywhere you want. Does the seawater say, "I am Pacific Ocean water; all water from Asia is polluted, so I don't like it"? Wherever the water comes from, the Pacific Ocean takes care of it all. Dirty water is quickly absorbed and goes the same way as clean water. Therefore no matter how serious pollution may be, even if all humankind disappears, the Pacific Ocean will still be blue. No matter how much suffering and how many ordeals it must endure, the ocean's blue color will never be altered. Likewise, the power, the content and the authority of love will always be as constant as the ocean’s blue.( 214-275,19910203) 9 You cannot imagine how fearsome and horrifying the waves and the winds are during an ocean storm. But even the strongest wind is fulfilling its mission. If wind did not exist, there would be no waves in the ocean and the fish would not survive. The wind blows to supply oxygen to the ocean. Waves supply oxygen to the water. That is why even when the waves are roaring and the wind is blowing strongly, you should taste the ocean and say, "You haven't lost your taste!" The ocean is salty. If I can think that way, then the currents and rushing waves are not unpleasant. You don't realize how much philosophy can be found in the ocean. People who have lived only on land will face considerable obstacles when they try to engage in ideal activities in the spirit world.( 119-254,19820913) 10 When you visit the ocean, you can learn many things. It undergoes changes several times a day. There is a saying, "A person's mind changes between morning and evening," but the ocean does not change only morning and evening, it changes every hour. On a fine day, if you go to a certain area, the waves might be mild. Yet when you go to another area, the wind will be blowing. It might not be a strong wind, but different in mood. Just as peoples' faces are all different, so are water and mountains. Climate also differs depending on the height of a mountain. The ocean exhibits beauty in all sorts of forms and figures.( 263-018,19940816) 11 Whenever I had time, I would always go out to sea. I would go out to sea and be buffeted about. Despite the hardship, the purpose was to calm my spirit and prepare for trials and greater battles ahead. Though I was often exhausted from having gone without sleep, I would stay alert, set my own standard and strive to maintain a horizontal balance in my daily life.( 073-270,19740929) 12 We can conclude that people who do not know the realm of the ocean are very limited in their sphere of happiness. If there were a Lord of creation, He would enjoy hearing praise from people who appreciate both the mystery of the sea and the beauty of the land, based on a correct knowledge of both the land and sea. We can imagine that He would not approve of praise for only one realm.( 128-259,19830828) 13 When you look at the ocean, you should not regard it simply as the ocean. You have to consider it a gift from our Heavenly Father. In the process of recreation, we review everything. A great revolution begins here. The value of a great victory can sprout from this point of view. So we may ask, to whom would all things of creation wish to belong? They want to be possessed by the one who receives God's love. That is the truth. They want to belong to the person whom God loves. Everything in the plant and animal worlds, even the microorganisms, all want to belong to such a person.( 112-307,19810425) 14 I like things that are stimulating. I can move forward and penetrate things where there is a lot of movement and change. For this, the ocean is better than the land. The ocean is constantly changing. The wind blows, there are sudden periods of calm, the waves rise and fall; there is constant change. Therefore I prefer traveling by sea to traveling by land. On land, the thoughts of the morning can remain unchanged all day. The land remains as it is, no matter how much you move around. But the ocean is different. When I think I'm going in one direction, I could actually be going the other way. It keeps changing that much. This kind of constant change is very stimulating. When the ocean is calm, the land cannot compare with it. It is unbelievably, mysteriously still. Sometimes I feel it is like a pane of glass. It is so beautiful I cannot help wanting to touch it. Sometimes I have the mind to want to drink it. For this reason I go to the ocean, with the thought that I am marching forward with one mind, even though the ocean keeps changing. If you don't have this kind of stimulating experience, you cannot do great work.( 079-270,19750901) 15 To this day I have been a pioneer. I have opened the way and taken the lead. Just recently our company built a boat and I personally took people out to sea to train them to become captains. I would teach them to think, "The wind may blow and the waves run high, but could they block the path of this man? Here I am, going out to solve the global food problem for the sake of heaven and humanity and to carry on life to the future generations." Is that not the attitude of a great man? I like that kind of person. The prosperity created here will remain, and the whirlwind of history will subside here. The ocean is where young people should want to go, and aspire to go. It is a place where joy and sorrow are interwoven. It allows you to leap forward and go beyond the world. In this way, countless young people who go out to sea can find hope. The ocean can be the source, the wellspring that invigorates people's dreams for the future. This comes in relation to the sea.( 109-153,19801101) 16 I go out to sea with a great deal of passion. If I lost this passion, problems would arise. Devotion has to be made continuously for thousands of years. Indemnity conditions cannot be set while sitting comfortably, but they can be made by going out to the ocean and offering devotion. Today must be better than yesterday, and tomorrow must be better than today. If I continue offering devotion until the day I save all the people who are starving, even if I die in the process, I believe that the Will of God will be accomplished on earth.( 279-309,19960922) 17 Because of God's absolute love, He made all the things of creation in a fascinating way. How amazing that creation fully provides for the needs of families in the future kingdom of heaven and ensures their well-being! Even the flow of water exists to assist in the functions of heaven and earth. On the sea's surface, water becomes vapor and circulates to revive all of creation. All things live within a realm of cooperation and help fulfill humanity's ideal by cooperating with one another rather than being in conflict. God, using earth as His stage, raises His children and uplifts them to the kingdom of heaven.( 284-047,19970415) 18 Although I am Korean, many Western people recognize that my work is not only for Korea but also for the entire world. There is no doubt that I am working for the sake of the world. For this reason, with courage and valor, I am building a global association, even in the face of persecution on land and sea. In that sense I made a fearsome declaration when I came out with the title Ocean Church after building this project based on religion, as opposed to conventional thinking. This is a fearsome course I have laid out. From this point on, what am I going to do with Ocean Church? It is not simply about going out to the ocean for training. The purpose is to love the ocean and achieve dominion over it.
