하나님의 심정을 가지고 하나님의 사명을 받아 나아갈 때 만약 맞아서 병신이 된다면, 그것은 행복의 상징이 된다. 자기의 몸에 잊을 수 없는 상처를 남긴다는 것은 영원한 빛의 세계에서 빛의 근원이 되고, 찬미의 근원이 되는 것이다. 선생님은 이러한 일들을 언제나 생각하고 나왔다. 그렇기 때문에 어떤 때에는 감옥에 들어가서 맞고 또 맞아 피를 통하는 입장에서도 '아! 이제는 때가 가까와지고 있다. 만일 여기에서 실패를 한다면 귀중한 역사를 잃어버리고 만다. 선한 조상들의 공적이 날아가 버리고 만다. 민족적인 기반이 허물어지고 만다…' 이렇게 생각을 했다.
이와 같이 긴장된 처지에 놓여진다 하더라도 그 환경은 문제가 되지 않는다. 어디까지나 자기 자신이 정신을 똑바로 차리지 않으면 안 된다. 그리고 하나님의 법(法)에 철저하자는 신념을 가지고 역사상에 있었던 인물 이상의 입장에서 나아간다면 그후에는 승리가 결정된다.

み意に立って、天の使命を受けて、もしも打たれて手が片輪になれば、これは幸福の象徴だ。自分の体に忘れざる傷を残すのは、永遠の光の世界に於きましては、光のもとである。讃美のもとである。先生はそういうことを考えている。だから、あるいは牢屋に引き込まれて、打たれて、血を吐く立場におきましても、それを見て、ほい、いよいよ時が来よる。これをやり過ごしたら歴史を失ってしまう。善なる先祖達の功績がとんでしまう。民族的基盤が崩れてしまう。だからそういう緊張した立場に立っても、その環境はどうでも良い。それが問題じゃない。自分自身に対して緊張せざるを得ない。そして、神の法に徹して行こう。そういう信念をもって、歴史上の人物以上の立場をもって行くならば、その後は勝利が決定する。

When you receive Heaven’s mission while standing firmly for God’s Will, even if you lose your arm being beaten because of this, it is a symbol of real happiness. Leaving unforgettable scars on your body will take you under the brilliant light in the eternal world of light. It is the cause of praise. Rev. Moon always thinks about these things. Therefore, even if I was dragged in a jail and was being beaten and vomiting blood, I look at the situation and rejoice because finally a great time is about to come. If I miss this opportunity, I will waste the history that was prepared. Or, all sacrifices and efforts of good ancestors will be in vain. This would cause the national foundation to crumble. Knowing these, when I face such tense moments, circumstance surrounding me is not a problem. Rather, I must be keen and serious within myself. Then, I resolve myself to follow God’s Laws absolutely. With such determination, when you surpass the seriousness of the historical figures facing similar situations, then your victory is already determined.
