| 참부모경 - 389. 의료·교육지원과 레다 문화도시 건설 참부모님께서는 남미 판타날 지역에 도로를 만들어 주고 29대의 구급차를 기증하셨다. 판타날 지방에 사는 사람들은 도로 사정이 나빠 병이 나더라도 병원에 갈 수 없는 사정을 알고 도로를 만들어 주고 구급차를 지원하신 것이다. 또한 자르딘에 학교를 건립하고 인재를 교육하셨으며, 나아가 미국의 우수한 교육 콘텐츠를 텔레비전과 VTR를 통해 교육함으로써 남미의 교육수준을 높이고자 하셨다. 참부모님께서 남미에 머무르면서 자르딘에 이어 많은 정성을 기울인 곳이 차코 지역이다. 차코는 볼리비아와 파라과이, 아르헨티나에 걸쳐 있는 그랜드차코 지역의 일부로 면적은 25만 제곱킬로미터(750억 평)에 달한다. 1999년 8월 일본 출신 국가메시아들에게 차코 지역에 있는 푸에르토 레다의 개척을 지시하셨다. 레다는 차코에서도 사람이 살아 가기에 가장 힘든 곳이지만 인간과 자연이 공존할 수 있는 아름다운 마을로 변화시켜 모든 사람들이 살고 싶어하는 이상촌을 건설하고자 하셨다. 그래서 레다에 8만 헥타르의 땅을 구입해서 개발을 시작하셨다. 그리고 레다를 중심으로 모범 농장과 모범 수산사업 시설을 만들고 자연과 조화된 문화도시 건설을 계획하셨다. 12 남미의 판타날 지방에 사는 사람들은 길이 없어서 자유로이 왕래할 수 없습니다. 그러니 길을 내서 자유왕래 하게 하여 세계로 뻗어가고 날아갈 수 있게끔 환경을 만들어 주는 일을 아버님이 해야 됩니다. 거기에서는 아기가 아파도 어머니가 아기를 품고 병원에 갈 수 없기 때문에 발만 동동거리면서 울 수밖에 없다는 소식을 많이 들었습니다. 그래서 그런 지역에 구급차를 한 대씩 구비해 주었습니다. 아무 상관이 없는 사람이 이런 것을 구비해 줬습니다. 그때 50만 달러에 해당하는 돈을 그 지역의 주지사가 오고 경찰서장, 시장, 병원장들이 모인 데에서 내가 전달하여 적절히 쓰게끔 했습니다. 이제 경찰서에 전화를 하게 되면 즉각적으로 출동해서 병원에 데려다주는 것입니다. 이런 운동을 계속해서 하려고 합니다. 50대로 시작했지만 앞으로 500대, 몇 천 대까지 불어나게 되면 자동적으로 가정에 의사를 불러 올 수 있는 시대가 온다는 것입니다. 13 미국에서 하던 대로 남미 사람들을 교육할 수 있습니다. 남미에서도 텔레비전과 VTR만 갖춰져 있으면 미국 방송을 틀어놓고 그 교재를 가지고 미국에서 하는 그대로 공부할 수 있습니다. 스스로 공부할 수 있는 기회를 주는 것입니다. 그래서 일주일에 한 번이나 2주일에 한 번씩 모이게 해서 공부한 것을 문답해서 지도할 수 있는 체제를 만들면 됩니다. 그렇게 하기 위해 그들이 모일 때, 차가 필요하면 구급차를 중심삼고 학교로 안내까지 해주는 것입니다. 구급차를 이중목적으로 사용할 수 있습니다. 그 주의 인구에 따라 유치원과 초등학교를 만들고 중고등학교를 만들어서 대학으로 연결할 수 있는 교육체제를 갖추는 것입니다. 초등학교 4학년부터 농사짓는 법이라든가 광야를 다룰 수 있는 방법, 양식하는 방법을 전부 공부하는 것입니다. 그래서 고등학교를 졸업할 때에는 그 분야의 전문적인 요원이 되는 것입니다. 대학교까지 나오면 그 지역의 스승이 되고 지도자가 될 수 있습니다. 그런 체제를 만들어야 됩니다. 그리고 고등학생들은 목장을 지키는 일을 하게 하는 것입니다. 그래서 목장을 개발하고 경영하는 모든 것을 가르쳐 주는 것입니다. 고등학교를 거쳐 대학교를 졸업하는 16년 동안, 박사 코스까지 해서 20년 동안에 목장에서 이런 전문적인 교육을 하는 것입니다. 일단 우리 체제에 들어오면 자기들 집에서 먹을 것을 걱정할 필요가 없습니다. 다 자급자족할 수 있습니다. 14 자르딘에 학교를 지어 놓았습니다. 초등학교부터 중고등학교 전체를 수용할 수 없으니까 본부에서는 특수한 소질이 있는 사람들을 데려다가 교육합니다. 유치원은 각 도시에서 할 것이고, 그다음에는 초등학교 중고등학교를 지어서 교육을 하는 것입니다. 거기에서 우수한 사람들은 앞으로 우리 대학에 보내 공부시키는 것입니다. 여기에서는 수산 사업 방법, 산림을 가꾸는 방법, 농사를 짓는 방법, 공장에서 물건을 만드는 방법 등 전반적인 것을 가르치는 것입니다. 그래서 자르딘에 지은 것을 확대하여 그런 시스템을 갖추어서 단과대학을 중심삼고 종합대학을 만들 수 있는 계획을 갖고 있습니다. 그런 건물을 다 지을 수 있게끔 하는 것입니다. 그다음에는 중남미 33개국의 33개 도시에 그렇게 교육할 수 있는 초등학교와 중고등학교를 만드는 것입니다. 교실 2개를 만드는 데에 70평이면 되는데, 500명을 수용할 수 있게 하는 것입니다. 그런 강당을 만드는 것입니다. 교실 칸막이를 미닫이로 하게 되면 두 개의 교실을 6개나 7개로 만들어서 얼마든지 사용할 수 있습니다. 그러면 우리 관광객 몇 백 명이 가더라도 그 집 한 채에 전부 수용할 수 있습니다. 관광용 숙소도 되고, 그다음에는 교육할 수 있는 장소도 되고, 그다음에는 훈련장소도 되는 것입니다. 15 내가 남미로 건너가서 눈물을 흘린 적이 있습니다. 아르헨티나와 우루과이의 경계선을 넘고 안데스산맥의 고개를 넘으면서 해가 뉘엿뉘엿 질 때 브라질 선교사와 얘기하면서 눈물을 흘렸습니다. ‘후일에 내가 찾아와서 개발할 것입니다. 아버지, 잊지 마시옵소서.’라고 기도했습니다. 일본이 어디로 가야 되느냐? 한국 대신의 나라로 삼은 파라과이에 보내려고 생각했는데, 일본 식구들이 남미에 갈 수 있게 안 돼 있었습니다. 반대하고 그랬습니다. 할 수 없이 국가메시아들을 파라과이의 푸에르토레다로 보낸 것입니다. 8만 헥타르가 되는 거기에 배치했는데, 그 땅을 기적적으로 구입해서 개발하게 된 것입니다. 피폐한 도시 형태를 새로운 도시, 자연과 화합한 문화도시 형태로 만들자는 것입니다. 레다에서부터 빅토리아 농장까지는 6시간 걸립니다. 그것을 연결하는 것입니다. 인디오의 19개 족속이 사는 그 마을에 광장을 만들고 병원, 학교, 그다음에 운동할 수 있는 체육관 등을 대신할 종합센터를 만들라고 한 것입니다. 땅도 사라고 했습니다. 그런 준비를 시키기 위해서 2시간 걸리는 곳곳마다 기지를 설정한 것입니다. 그것을 대신해서 파라과이강과 아마존강에 50킬로미터마다 182곳의 초소를 만드는 것입니다. 일본 사람이 초소를 지어서 관광을 안내하는 것입니다. 그래서 사람들이 찾아오면 주인의 자리에서 새로운 가정 출발의 교육을 할 수 있는 기지를 만들기 위해서 말뚝을 박은 것입니다. 그런 역사를 거쳐 왔기 때문에 여러분은 그것을 남의 일이 아니라 내 일로 알아야 됩니다. 부모님이 가야 할 고개를 넘기 위한 평지작업을 했다는 것을 생각하고 언제든지 눈물을 흘리면서 그 지역을 순회해야 됩니다. 16 천주의 모든 복귀의 중심적 사명이 해와 국가에 있습니다. 이 판타날 땅에서 누가 땀을 흘리고 고생해야 됩니까? 일본은 해수로 둘러싸여 있습니다. 염수에 둘러싸여 있습니다. 물이라고 하는 것은 원래 해수였습니다. 그것이 증발하고 순환운동을 하여 담수에 의해 산천초목이 양육되고 있습니다. 그와 마찬가지로 여기에서 정성을 다하여 구름을 만들어 세계로 새로운 물을 나누어 주는 것이 여러분의 일입니다. 고생하는 것은 자기들이 잘살기 위한 것이 아닙니다. 미래의 행복의 기지를 만들기 위한 것입니다. 희생하지 않으면 미래의 행복의 기지는 영원히 만들 수 없습니다. 여러분은 아버님 이상 고생하여 판타날에서 세계의 어머니와 같은 입장에서 세계에 젖을 나누어 주라는 것입니다. 17 여러분을 판타날에 40일 동안 파견했습니다. 40일을 조건으로 40년 400년이라도 하는 것입니다. 크리스천은 400년 동안 카타콤에서 박해를 받으며 승리의 천국을 착륙시켰습니다. 일본 사람도 이렇게 세계의 복지를 건설하기 위해 400년이라도 해야된다는 것입니다. 40년만이 아닙니다. 세계를 살리기 위해서는 기뻐서 해야 됩니다. 이 땅을 그러한 기준으로 올려놓을 경우 미래에 관광의 왕국이 됩니다. 세계 만민이 이곳을 통과하지 않으면 안 됩니다. 이곳은 하나님이 창조한 모든 것이 그대로 남아 있습니다. 아름다운 지구성을 만들어야 합니다. 그런 것을 하기 위해 일본 사람에게 책임을 맡겼는데 불평해서는 안 됩니다. 일본이 어머니 나라로서 그 사명을 다해야 됩니다. 18 일본의 국가메시아들에게 빨리 파라과이의 푸에르토 레다에 농장을 개척하라고 했습니다. 해와 국가가 한 농장이라도 본보기를 만들어 세계 사람들을 교육할 수 있는 장소를 마련해야 될 책임이 있다는 것입니다. 19 페루 같은 나라에서는 정어리가 무진장 잡힙니다. 그래서 정어리를 잡는 사람들에게 우리가 파우더로 만들어 주겠다고 했습니다. 모든 여건이 우리한테 유리하게 되어 가고 있습니다. 하늘이 전부 그렇게 하는 것입니다. 이런 것을 안고 출 수 있는 사람이 없습니다. 해양환원을 하기 위해서는 우리가 해양사업에 관심을 가져야 됩니다. 그것을 준비하기 위해서 일본 사람들을 통해 레다를 중심한 판타날에 자리를 잡고 그 일을 하는 것입니다. 아마존 지역에서 제일 중요한 것이 자연보호입니다. 공해를 방지하면서 식량문제를 해결할 수 있는 사업을 하는 것입니다. 20 브라질은 흑인과 스패니시의 혼혈이 많고, 파라과이는 아시아인과 스패니시의 혼혈이 많은 나라입니다. 그래서 내가 1995년 5월 16일 중남미 17개국 순회강연을 파라과이에서부터 시작한 것입니다. 과라니족, 인디오들을 포섭해야 됩니다. 이 주변에 있는 사람들을 배를 내줘서 기름값이 들어가더라도 주일 같은 날 한 달에 한 번씩은 교회에 모일 수 있게 해야 됩니다. 그래서 레다 농장에 집을 크게 짓는 것입니다. 거기에서 모임을 가지려고 합니다. 그러니 한국 식구들을 다 불러서 하나 만들어야 합니다. 일본 식구들은 따로 하는 것입니다. 따로 한국 사람이 개척하고, 그다음에는 일본 사람이 개척하고, 그다음에는 미국 사람이 개척하는 것입니다. 그다음에는 육대주 책임자들이 개척해서 자기 지역에 연관적으로 배치하면 세계화가 되는 것입니다. 21 판타날에 냉동회사를 만들어서 현지인들이 잡은 물고기를 세계에 팔 것을 계획하고 있습니다. 그것을 하기 위해서는 냉동 컨테이너가 필요한데, 그 냉동 컨테이너를 빌려 주는 회사가 있기 때문에 처음에는 그것을 빌려 쓰는 것도 괜찮을 것입니다. 우리가 180개의 기지를 만들려고 하는데 레다 농장에서 일본 사람들이 그것을 준비하고 있습니다. 냉동 컨테이너를 빌려 거기에서 잡은 고기들을 냉동보과했다가 팔 수 있습니다. 신선도를 어떻게 유지하느냐가 문제입니다. 그렇게 할 수 있으면 세계 어디에서든지 판매시장을 개척하는 것은 문제없습니다. 22 육지의 원자재는 앞으로 50년도 안 간다고 봅니다. 그러니 문제가 벌어진다는 것입니다. 100년 이내에 끝난다는 것입니다. 그러니 해양권을 우리가 개척해야 됩니다. 그래서 일본 식구들을 시켜서 파라과이강 유역에 레다 농장을 중심한 모범 농장이라든지 모범 수산사업 시설이라든지 모범 문화도시 형태를 만들기 위한 일을 하고 있습니다. 23 일본 국가메시아들이 남미에 들어가서 레다 농장을 중심삼고 파라과이 지역을 개척하고 있습니다. 3년 있으라고 했는데 3년이 아닙니다. 파라과이 전역을 개발하라고 했습니다. 아버님은 하늘 앞에 기도한 대로 하는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 일본의 해양기술로 파라과이와 우루과이를 중심하고 세계를 개발하는 그 이상으로 개발하는 것입니다. |
| 真の父母経 - 389. 医療・教育支援とレダ文化都市の建設 真の父母様は、南米のパンタナール地域に道路を造って、二十九台の救急車を寄贈され た。パンタナール地方に暮らす人々は、道路事情が悪く、病気になっても病院に行けないことを知り、道路を造ってあげ、救急車を支援されたのである。また、 ジャルジンに学校を建設して人材を教育され、さらには、アメリカの優秀な教育コンテンツを、テレビとVTRを通して教育することにより、南米の教育水準を 高めようとされた。真の父母様が南米でシャルジンに次いで精誠を捧げられた所が、チャコ地域である。チャコは、ボリビアとパラグアイ、アルゼンチン、ブラ ジルにまたがるグラン・チャコ地域の一部で、面積は二十五万平方キロメートル(七百五十億坪)に及ぶ。真の父母様は、一九九九年八月、日本の国家メシヤた ちに対して、チャコ地域のプエルト・レダ開 拓を指示された。特にレダは、チャコでも、人が住んでいない場所だが、そこを人間と自然が共存できる美しい居住地に変え、すべての人々が暮らしたいと思う 理想郷にしようとされたのである。それゆえ、レダに八万へクタールの土地を購入し、開発を始められた。また、レダを中心にモデル農場とモデル水産事業施設 を造り、文化都市建設を計画されたのである。 12 南米のパンタナール地方に住む人々は、道ができていないため、自由に往来できません。ですから、道を整備して自由に往来させ、世界に進んでいき、飛んでい けるように環境をつくってあげる活動を、お父様がしなければなりません。そこでは赤ん坊が病気になっても、母親が赤ん坊を抱いて病院に行けないので、ただ じだんだを踏みながら泣くしかないという話をたくさん聞きました。ですから、そのような地域に救急車を一台ずつ備えさせてあげました。何の関係もない人 が、このようなことをしてあげたのです。その時、その地域の州知事、警察署長、市長、病院長たちが来て集まった中で、五十万ドルに該当する寄付を私が手渡 し、適切に使うようにしました。今や警察署に電話をすれば、即刻出動して病院に連れていってくれるのです。 このような運動を継続して行おうと思います。五十台から始めましたが、今後、五百台、数千台まで膨らんでいけば、自動的に家庭に医者を呼ぶことができる時代が来るというのです。 13 アメリカでしていたとおりに、南米の人々を教育することができます。南米でも、テレビとVTRさえ備わっていれば、アメリカの放送を見て、その教材を用い て、アメリカで行っているとおりに勉強することができます。自ら勉強できる機会を与えるのです。そうして、一週間に一度か、二週間に一度ずつ集めて、勉強 したことを問答して指導できる体制をつくればよいのです。そのようにするために彼らが集まるとき、車が必要であれば、救急車を中心として学校に案内までし てあげるのです。救急車を二重の目的に使用することができます。 その州の人口に従って、幼稚園と小学校を造り、中学・高等学校を造って、大学に連結できる教育体制を備えるのです。小学校の四年生から、農業の方法 や木を植える方法、原野を開墾する方法、養殖をする方法をすべて教育します。そうして、高校を卒業するときには、その分野の専門的な人材になるのです。大 学まで出れば、その地域の先生になり、指導者になることができます。そのような体制をつくらなければなりません。そして、高校生たちには牧場を守る仕事を させます。そうして、牧場を開発し、運営するすべての内容を教えてあげるのです。 高校を経て、大学を卒業する十六年間、博士コースまで合わせて二十年間に、牧場でこのような専門的な教育を行うのです。一旦、私たちの体制に入ってくれば、自分たちの家で食べる物を心配する必要がありません。すべて、自給自足することができるのです。 14 ジャルジンに学校を造っておきました。小学校から中学・高等学校全体を収容することはできないので、本部では特殊な素質のある人々を連れてきて教育しま す。幼稚園は各都市で運営し、その次に、小学校、中学・高等学校を造って教育するのです。そこで優秀な人々は、これから私たちの大学に送って勉強させま す。ここでは水産事業の方法、山林を育てる方法、農業の方法、工場で物を作る方法など、全般的なことを教えるのです。 そして、ジャルジンに造ったものを拡大して、そのようなシステムを備え、単科大学を中心として総合大学を造る計画をもっています。そのような建物をすべて建てることができるようにするのです。 その次には、中南米三十三ヵ国の三十三ヵ都市に、そのように教育できる小学校と中学・高等学校を造ります。教室を二つ造るのに七十坪あればよいので すが、五百人を収容できるようにするのです。そのような講堂を造ります。教室の仕切りを引き戸にすれば、二つの教室を六つにも七つにもして、いくらでも使 えるのです。そうすれば、私たちの観光客が何百人行っても、その家一棟にすべて収容できます。観光用の宿所にもなり、その次には、教育できる場所にもな り、その次には、訓練場所にもなるのです。 15 私が南米に渡って、涙を流したことがあります。アルゼンチンとウルグアイの境界線を越え、アンデス山脈の峠を越えながら、太陽がだんだんと沈んでいく中、 ブラジル宣教師と話をしていて涙を流したのです。「後日、私が訪ねてきて、開発します。(天の)お父様、お忘れにならないでください」と祈りました。 日本は、どこに行かなければならないのでしょうか。韓国の代わりの国として定めたパラグアイに送ろうと思ったのですが、日本の食口たちが南米に行け る状況にはなっていませんでした。反対したりしていました。仕方なく国家メシヤたちをパラグアイのプエルト・レダに送ったのです。 八万へクタールになるそこに配置したのですがその土地を奇跡的に購入し、開発することになりました。疲弊した都市形態を、新しい都市、自然と和合し た文化都市の形態にしようというのです。レダからビクトリア農場までは六時間かかります。それを連結するのです。「インディオの十九の部族が暮らすその村 に広場を造り、病院、学校、その次に、運動できる体育館などに代わる総合センターを造りなさい」と言ったのです。「土地も買いなさい」と言いました。その ような準備をさせるために、二時間かかる距離ごとに基地を設定したのです。その基地の代わりに、パラグアイ川とアマゾン川に、五十キロメートルごとに百八 十二ヵ所の歩哨所(見張りの兵士が立つ所)のようなところを造るのです。 日本人が歩哨所のようなところを造って観光案内をするのです。そうして、人々が訪ねてくれば、主人の立場で、新しい家庭出発の教育ができる基地を造 るために、杭を打ち込みました。そのような歴史を経てきたので、皆さんは、それが他人事ではなく、自分のことであると思わなければなりません。父母様が、 行くべき峠を越えるための平地化作業をしたことを考え、いつでも涙を流しながら、その地域を巡回しなければなりません。 16 天宙のすべての復帰の中心的使命がエバ国家にあります。このパンタナールの地で、誰が汗を流し、苦労しなければならないのでしょうか。日本は海水に囲まれ ています。塩水に囲まれているのです。水というのは、もともと海水でした。それが蒸発して循環運動をし、淡水によって山川草木が育まれているのです。 それと同じように、ここで精誠を尽くし、雲をつくって世界に新しい水を分け与えることが皆さんの仕事です。苦労するのは、自分たちが豊かに暮らすた めではありません。未来の幸福の基地を造るためです。犠牲にならなければ、未来の幸福の基地は永遠に造れません。皆さんはお父様以上に苦労して、パンタ ナールにおいて世界の母のような立場で、世界にお乳を分け与えなさいというのです。 17 皆さんをパンタナールに四十日間派遣しました。四十日を条件として、四十年、四百年でも行うのです。クリスチャンは四百年、カタコンべで迫害を受けなが ら、勝利の天国を着陸させました。日本人も、このように世界の福地を建設するために、四百年でもしなければならないというのです。四十年だけではありませ ん。世界を生かすためには、喜んでしなければなりません。 この地をそのような基準に上げておけば、未来において観光王国になります。世界の万民がここを通過しなければなりません。ここは、神様が創造したす べてのものが、そのまま残っています。美しい地球星をつくらなければなりません。そのようなことをするために、日本人に責任を与えたのですが、不平を言っ てはいけません。日本が母の国として、その使命を果たさなければならないのです。 18 日本の国家メシヤたちに、「早くパラグアイのプエルト・レダで農場を開拓しなさい」と言いました。エバ国家が一つの農場でもモデルを造って、世界の人々を教育できる場所を準備しなければならない責任があるというのです。 19 ペルーのような国では、鰯（いわし）が無尽蔵に獲れます。それで、鰯を獲る人々に、「私たちがパウダーにしてあげよう」と言いました。すべての条件が、私 たちに有利になってきています。天がすべてそのようにするのです。このようなことを抱えて仕事を処理する人がいません。 海洋還元をするためには、私たちが海洋事業に関心をもたなければなりません。それを準備するために、日本人たちを通して、レダを中心としたパンタ ナールに定着し、その活動を行うのです。アマゾン地域で最も重要なことが自然保護です。公害を防止しながら、食糧問題を解決できる事業を行うのです。 20 ブラジルは黒人とスパニッシュの混血が多く、パラグアイはアジア人とスパニッシュの混血が多い国です。それで、私は一九九五年五月十六日、中南米十七ヵ国の巡回講演をパラグアイから始めたのです。 グアラニー族、インディオたちを包摂しなければなりません。この周辺にいる人々に船を出してあげて、燃料代がかかっても、聖日のような日に、一ヵ月 に一度ずつは教会に集まれるようにしなければなりません。それで、レダ農場に大きな家を建てているのです。そこで集まりをもとうと思います。ですから、韓 国食口たちをみな呼んで一つにしなければなりません。日本食口たちは別に行うのです。別途に韓国人が開拓し、その次に日本人が開拓し、その次にアメリカ人 が開拓するのです。その次には、六大州の責任者たちが開拓して、自分の地域に関連させて配置すれば、世界化ができるのです。 21 パンタナールに冷凍会社を造って、現地人たちが獲った魚を世界に売ることを計画しています。それをするためには、冷凍コンテナが必要ですが、その冷凍コン テナを貸してくれる会社があるので、初めはそれを借りて使っても大丈夫でしょう。私たちは百八十の基地を造ろうとしているのですが、レダ農場で日本人たち がそれを準備しています。冷凍コンテナを借り、そこに獲った魚を冷凍保管しておいて、売ることができます。新鮮度をどのように維持するかが問題です。その ようにすることができれば、世界のどこであっても販売市場を開拓するのは問題ありません。 22 陸地の資源は、これから五十年ももたないと考えています。ですから、問題が起きます。百年以内には尽きるというのです。それゆえ、海洋圏を私たちが開拓し なければなりません。それで、日本食口たちに、パラグアイ川流域に、レダ農場を中心とした模範農場や、模範水産事業の施設や、模範文化都市の形態を造る活 動をさせているのです。 23 南米に日本の国家メシヤたちが入り、レダ農場を中心としてパラグアイ地域を開拓しています。「三年間、そこにいなさい」と言ったのですが、三年ではありま せん。「パラグアイ全域を開発しなさい」と言いました。お父様は、天のみ前に祈ったとおりに行うのです。ですから、日本の海洋技術で、世界を開発する以上 に、パラグアイとウルグアイを中心として開発するのです。 |
| Chambumo Gyeong - 389. Supporting Local Communities True Parents created roads in the Pan-tanal and donated 29 ambulances. They realized that people living there could not get to the hospital because of the poor road conditions. Therefore, while donating the ambulances, they also constructed roads. Furthermore, they founded a school in Jardim and educated talented potential leaders. By broadcasting the best educational material from the United States using videos, they have striven to raise the standard of South America s education. The place after Jardim over which True Parents offered the deepest prayers while they were in South America was Chaco, an area of 250,000 square kilometers in the Grand Chaco region, which spans Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina. In August 1999 True Parents directed Japanese national messiahs to pioneer the farms in Puerto Leda, located within the Chaco region. True Parents oversaw the purchase of 80,000 hectares of land in Leda and began to develop it. Focusing on Leda, they planned to create a model farm, model fisheries and spin-off businesses, thereby promoting a culture harmonious with nature. Leda was an extremely difficult place to live, but True Parents dedicated resources to transform it into a beautiful village where people and nature can profitably coexist. We re-created Leda and made it into an ideal village where anyone would be happy to live. 12 People living in the Pantanal region cannot travel freely because there are not enough roads. Therefore, I must build roads and, in this way create an environment where the people can move forward and go out into the world. I heard many stories about mothers who cried frantically because they could not take their sick babies to a hospital. So, I provided one ambulance to each area in the Pantanal region. This means that those ambulances were donated by someone who has no relationship with the area. The value of what I gave them would amount to $500,000 today. The governor, chief of police, mayor and hospital administrators of each area gathered when I presented the money for the ambulances, and I obtained their pledge that they would use it properly. Now if someone makes a phone call to the police station, the officers immediately drive the person to the hospital. I am hoping to continue this movement by inspiring more contributions. It started with 50 vehicles but, in the future, I want to increase this number to 500, or even thousands, so that eventually doctors will be able to make house calls. (276-196, 1996/02/19) 13 We can educate people in South America just as we did in the United States. If people in South America have televisions and VCRs, American programs can be broadcast and people can follow along with a textbook to receive the same education as people in the US. We are providing a system beginning with the opportunity to study on their own and then gather once a week, or once every two weeks, to receive guidance and participate in a question-and-answer session based on what they have studied. If they need a car in order to travel to those gatherings, they can use the ambulance. The ambulances I donated can serve dual purposes. An educational system will be established to connect students to a college. It could include kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools or high schools, depending on the population of that province. Farming methods, tree planting methods, fish farming methods and how to deal with the wilderness will be taught by the time students finish the fourth grade of elementary school. Therefore, when students graduate from high school, they will be professionals in their field. College graduates will become teachers and leaders in these regions. We need to establish this system. We can train high school students to watch over the farms and ranches. They need to be taught to develop and manage these farms and ranches. Education in various fields of expertise will be taught at the ranch at a fast pace for students from the age of 16 up to the end of high school and on to college—20 years in total, including the completion of a PhD course. Students in our system will not need to worry about having enough food at home. Everyone will become self-sufficient. (276-197, 1996/02/19) 14 I built a school in Jardim. Since not everyone could be accommodated in the kindergartens and middle schools, we are calling people of exemplary talent to be educated at the headquarters. We will have a kindergarten in each city, and then build an elementary school, a middle school and a high school. We will send those who perform well in high school to study at our college, where they will gain general education in fisheries, forest management, agricultural methods and the manufacturing industry. We will expand what has been built in Jardim. Also, I am planning to build a college and a university following that same system. I am making dynamic plans to build schools throughout South America. My vision is to build elementary, middle and high schools in 33 cities in 33 South American countries. Approximately 230 square meters of land is needed to build two classrooms, which can accommodate 500 people. We will build these classrooms using sliding partitions that can transform the two classrooms into six or seven classrooms. Then, even if hundreds of tourists go there, they can all be accommodated in that one building. It can be used as a place to accommodate tourists as well as to educate and train local residents. As I crossed the boundary of Argentina and Uruguay and crossed over the top of the Andes Mountains, while the sun slowly set, I cried as I spoke to a Brazilian missionary. I wanted to send them to Paraguay, which I consider an extension of Korea, but the Japanese members were not prepared to go to South America. They all opposed the idea. I had no choice but to send the national messiahs to Paraguay instead. They went to Puerto Leda, and were assigned to work on an area of land of some 80,000 hectares. Miraculously, they were able to purchase this land and develop it. Let us make this impoverished city into a new city, one whose culture is in harmony with nature. It takes six hours to get from Leda to the Victoria Plaza Hotel, and I will connect them. I told the Japanese national messiahs to build a plaza, a hospital, schools and a multipurpose center instead of a sports center at the village, where 19 clans of the native peoples, Indios, are living. I also told them to buy land. As part of those preparations, we established numerous operational bases two hours away from each other. In addition, 182 information booths will be set up, one every 50 kilometers along the Paraguay and Amazon Rivers. The Japanese should set up the booths and guide the tours. Therefore, when people come looking for this place, I, as the owner, will have erected the pillar of the new family education. As you tour that region, you should always shed tears as you think about the extensive groundwork that True Parents initiated to overcome the obstacles. With the idea of an earthly paradise in mind, we are preparing the Pantanal as a tourist kingdom. The people of the world have to pass through this place. Everything that God created remains here in pristine condition. We must make a beautiful earth. In order to accomplish that, I gave this responsibility to the Japanese people, and you must not complain. As the mother nation, Japan needs to fulfill this mission completely.
