㉯ 성인과 성자의 차이 - 4 

가정에서 부모를 위하고 사랑하는 사람을 효자요, 나라를 위하고 사랑하는 사람은 애국자요, 세계를 사랑하는 사람은 성인입니다. 그러면 선생님이 가르치는 것이 뭐예요? 하나님과 세계와 우주를 사랑하는 성자가 되라는 것입니다. 여러분은 어떤 것이 될 것입니까? 성자가 될 것입니까, 효자 효녀가 될 것입니까? 그러러면 하나님과 같은 사랑을 마음에 가져야 됩니다.

지금까지 성인의 가르침은 심신 일체권은 강력히 가르치지 않았습니다. 인간은 원래 그렇다고 생각했기 때문에 틀린 것입니다. 우선 문제를 외적 세계에 둔 것입니다. 공자도 '수신제가 치국평천하(修身齊家 治國平天下)' 라고 했지요? 수신을 어떻게 하고, 제가를 어떻게 하느냐? 

평천하는 어디서부터 시작되느냐? 집에서부터 시작될 줄 알았지요? 평천하는 그렇게 되지 않습니다. 거기에서 천하가 하나될 수 있는 길은 없습니다. 어디서부터? 자신으로부터 심신의 싸움입니다. 불이 자기한테서 타고 있는 것입니다.

②「家庭では孝子、国家では忠臣、世界では聖人、天宙では聖子の道理を完成」

ロ）聖人と聖子の違い - 4 

家庭で父母のために生きて愛する人は孝子であり、国のために生きて愛する人は愛国者であり、世界を愛する人は聖人です。それでは、先生が教えることは何ですか。

神様と世界と宇宙を愛する聖子になりなさいということです。皆さんは、どれになりますか。聖子になりますか。孝子、孝女になりますか。（「聖子になります」）。そのようにしようとすれば、神様と同じ愛に心にもたなければなりません。(129-99,1983.10.1)

今までの聖人の教えは、心身一体圏は強力に教えませんでした。人間は本来そうだ、と考えたので、間違ったのです。まず問題を外的世界に置いたのです。孔子も「修身斉家治国平天下」と言ったでしょう？　

「修身」をどのようにし、「斉家」をどのようにするのでしょうか。「平天下」はどこから始まるのですか。家から始まると思っていたでしょう？　「平天下」は、そのようにはなりません。どこからですか。自分自身からです。心身の闘いです。火が自分から燃えているのです。(250-166,1993.10.14)

2.2.2. The difference between a saint and a divine son or daughter - 4  

In families, those who care for and love their parents are filial sons and daughters. Those who care for and love their country are patriots, and those who love the world are saints.

Then what have I taught you? I have taught you to be divine sons and daughters who love God, the world, and the universe. Who would you be? Would you like to be divine sons and daughters, or filial sons and daughters? To be divine sons and daughters, you must have the same love in your hearts as God does. (129-99, 1983.10.1)
 
Up until now the saints have not taught strongly about the unity of mind and body. Since they thought that it was normal for the human mind and body not to be united, they got it wrong. To begin with they dealt with the issue based on the external world. Confucius said, “Cultivate yourself and harmonize your family, and then you can govern your nation well and bring peace to the world,” didn’t he?

How can you culti­vate yourself and harmonize your fam­ily? Where does bringing peace to the world begin? People have thought that it begins at home, haven’t they? Peace is not brought to the world that way. There is no way for the world to become one within a family. Then what must it be based on in order to become one? It begins from you, yourself; it is the strug­gle between mind and body. That fire is burning within you. (250-166, 1993.10.14)
