3) 우주의 완성

우주의 완성, 우주의 완성이라는 말은 쉽지만 도대체 우주의 완성이 뭐냐? 우주를 완성하려면 내가 완성을 해야 됩니다. 아무리 우주가 완성 되었다 하더라도 내가 완성 못 하면 아무 상관이 없는 거예요.

세상이 아무리 좋더라도, 아무리 외적 세계가 다 좋아하고 춤을 춘다 하더라도 자기가 지금 고통에 사무쳐 있다면 그 모든 외적 세계의 기뻐하는 환경도 나와 관계가 없는 것임을 우리는 아는 것입니다.  

우주의 완성이라는 것은 외적인 세계도 좋지마는 내적인 내 자신, 나도 좋아야 합니다. 좋은데는 마음도 좋고 몸도 좋아야 되는 것입니다. 내세포로 보면 세포가 전부 다 좋아야 됩니다. 눈의 세포하고 발바닥에 있는 세포하고는 다르지요? 다르다구요.

다르지만 그 세포들이 다 좋아하고 손의 세포도 좋아하고 모든 세포들이 좋아하고, 몸과 마음 어디 하나 남기지 않고 전체가 좋아할 수 있는 그것이 그냥 떨어져 있는 것이 아니라 하나로 연결돼 가지고 연체적인 내용을 중심삼고 공명적인 사랑의 기쁨을 느낄 수 있는 그런 세계라야 우주완성이 되는 것입니다. (166-210)

3) 宇宙の完成

宇宙完成、宇宙完成という言葉は簡単ですが、一体宇宙の完成とは何でしょうか。宇宙を完成するには自分が完成しなければなりません。たとえ宇宙が完成したとしても、自分が完成できなければ何の関係もないのです。

世の中がいくらよくても、いくら外的世界が喜び、踊りを踊っていても、自分が今苦痛にあえいでいるとしたら、その外的世界の喜びの環境も自分とは関係がないことを私たちは知っています。


宇宙の完成というのは、外的世界もいいし、内的な自分自身もよくなければなりません。よいというのは、心もよく体もよくなければならないのです。私たちの細胞についていうと、細胞全部が皆よくなければなりません。目の細胞と足の裏にある細胞とでは違いますね。違うのです。

違いますが、それらの細胞が皆喜び、手の細胞も一つ残らず喜び、心と体の全体が喜べなければなりません。それも、ただ離れたところで喜ぶのではなく、一つに連結されて連帯的な内容を中心として、共鳴的な愛の喜びを感じられる世界であってはじめて宇宙完成になるのです。（一六六・二一〇）

3) The Perfection Of The Universe

The perfection of the universe -- the words "perfection of the universe" are easy to say, but what on earth is the perfection of the universe?
In order for the universe to be perfected, I must be perfected. No matter how perfect the universe may be, if I am not perfect, it is of no consequence.

We all know that no matter how good the world is, no matter how much the external world is happy and dances about, if you yourself are overwhelmed with suffering in the present, then even if you go out into that rejoicing environment of the external world, it has no relationship with you.


Concerning the perfection of the universe, even though the external world may rejoice, the internal world of my own self must also rejoice. To rejoice, both my mind and my body must rejoice. If I look at my cells, they are all rejoicing. The cells of the eye and the cells of the sole of the foot are different, aren't they?

But even though they are different, those cells are all rejoicing. So are the cells of the hand and all the other cells. The perfection of the universe comes about when we have a world in which we can feel the joy of love, resonating centered on the mind and body, not isolated but united into one, with neither one being left out, and both being able to rejoice.
