Here is my first 2013 resto, the 280 CP kerosene/paraffin fed BP Cleary table lamp made
1922-1924.
이 제품은 2013년에 처음으로 복원한 제품으로서 1922~1924에 제조된 조도 280CP의
석유를 사용하는 BP Cleary 테이블 랜턴입니다.
It is made by the British Petroleum Co Ltd London, from patents of Edwin Cleary.
이 제품은 Edwin Cleary가 특허를 출원하여 영국 런던에 소재한 British Petroleum Co Ltd
London에서 제조하였습니다.
This is a very rare lamp and not many survivors are known.
이 제품은 매우 희귀하고 현존하는 제품의 수량이 아주 적은 랜턴입니다.
During these few years of production there were some variations and improvements done.
이 제품은 생산되고 있는 동안에도 많은 변화와 개량이 있었습니다.
My lamp has the pre heater cup mounted under the generator, opposed to the one where
the pre heater cup I situated in a centre position just above the handle.
이 제품은 예열접시가 제너레이터 아래에 있고 반대쪽으로는 불조절기 바로 위쪽
가운데에 위치해 있습니다.
I believe my lamp is the one with the more efficient pre heater setup,and as there is no
stamped date, I will date it till the end of the period 1922-24.
저는 이 제품에서 예열접시가 각인은 새겨져 있지 않지만 대단히 실용적이며 이 제품의
제조시기인 1922~24의 기간이 종료되는 마지막 시기의 제품일 것으로믿고 있습니다.
Another thing that varies is the pricker control lever/handle.
노즐 청소침 핸들은 다른 제품과는 또 다른점이 있습니다.

I believe the pricker lever/handle on my lamp is a fourth one made out of cast brass.
제가 보유하고 있는 제품의 청소침 핸들은 깍아서 만든 네 번째 종류의 제품이라고
믿습니다.
If you look at the 1923 ad for this lamp (from Neil), you can be sure that the sewing
house wife in the ad would have burned her finger tips on that brass lever of my lamp,
as I did.

Maybe it originally would have had a wooden handle, as it gets very hot after a while.

The resto on this one was mostly a thorough clean up and some minor fettling.
이 제품은 대부분 청소하였고 부족한 부분을 보완하여 복원 시켰습니다.
The rusty steel tank had to be grinded, sandpapered and polished for hours; the needle
was broken and I managed to replace it with a Primus 99x series needle.
녹이슬었던 철재 연료통은 여러 시간동안 갈고, 사포질하고 광택작업을 하였으며
청소침이 부러져 있어 프리머스 99x 종류의 청소침으로 대체하여 수리하였습니다.
The shade for this lamp is obviously exclusively made and therefore impossible to obtain,
but I got a ´good enough´ replacement.
이 랜턴의 유리는 잘 아시다시피 입수가 불가능하여 다시 만든 제품이지만 충분히
만족하는 대체품입니다.
I had to grind the fitter lip down 3 mm for it to fit the shade holder.
저는 유리를 체결하기 위해 3mm 아래를 갈아서 유리를 체결할 수 있는 입술 부위를
만들었습니다.
The burner is made of brass all together, except for the jet, which is made of steel
(not so common I believe).
기화기는 철재로 된 분사기만 제외하고는 전체가 황동 재질인데 이는 일반적인 형태가
아니라 믿습니다.
The lamp and burner are very robust and well built and when running this is a very silent
lamp.
이 랜턴과 기화기는 대단히 화력이 좋게 잘 만들었으며 구동되는 동안은 아주 조용한
랜턴입니다.
In the end this is a very rewarding resto; I tend to love the latest resto lamp the most
and this is certainly a very odd and lovely lamp that will be put on a shelf over my wife’s
sewing machine.
마지막으로 이렇게 복원된 제품은 제게 매우 큰 보람을 주는데 저는 최상의 상태로
가장 마지막으로 복원한 제품에 대하여 사랑하는 경향이 있으며, 이 제품은 확실히
아주 오래된 제품이고 사랑스러워 내 아내가 바라보는 재봉틀위에 진열할 것입니다.
