After Korach’s rebellion, God gives Israel a special sign so that the community will no longer complain against or rebel against the authority that He Himself has established. God commands the leaders of each tribe to bring one staff each, and Aaron’s staff representing the tribe of Levi is placed before the Ark of the Testimony inside the Tent of Meeting.
