Regional Sourcing Specialist |
[MAJOR DUTIES]
o Support the regional sales organization to achieve targeted order volume.
o Secure and evaluate quotations from suppliers in the time frame required for each proposal. Quotation must include both hardware and documentation
requirements.
o Provide to Sales a preferred supplier quotation considering cost, technical acceptability, quality, terms and lead time for both hardware and documentation in a manner that the site buyer can enter a purchase order with minimal effort.
o Ability to conduct a technical analysis of supplier proposals.
o Assist Sales in securing strategic projects by identifying the most competitive acceptable sources and then negotiate additional discounts if necessary.
o Leading regional sourcing activities on buyouts for strategic projects.
o Process development and improvement to enable more efficient proposal management for strategic projects.
o Managing current supplier relationships while driving performance improvements in the areas of cost, quality and delivery.
o Lead the effort to utilize Low Cost Region (LCR) suppliers by including LCR suppliers in the proposal stage.
o Develop e-sourcing process for quotations to simply distribution of specifications and submission of quotations. |

[Qualification]
o Education:
- BA/BS required
- MBA preferred
- Electrical Engineering degree or strong motor knowledge a plus.
o Professional Certifications:
- C.P.M., C.P.I.M. preferred.
o Experience:
- 5-10 years experience in purchasing and sourcing industrial products with complex specifications.
- Integral horsepower AC motor and/or complex project purchasing experience an added advantage.
- Global Purchasing experience desired.
