1. 불결하고 더러운 여자 곧 학대하는 도시에 화가 있을지어다!
Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!
2. 그녀가 음성에 순종하지 아니하며 바로잡는 것을 받지 아니하고 {주}를 신뢰하지 아니하며 자기 [하나님]에게 가까이 나아가지 아니하였도다.
She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God.
3. 그녀 안에 있는 그녀의 통치자들은 울부짖는 사자요, 그녀의 재판관들은 뼈를 갉아먹되 이튿날까지 기다리지 아니하는 저녁때의 이리며
Her princes within her [are] roaring lions; her judges [are] evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
4. 그녀의 대언자들은 경솔하고 배신하는 자들이요, 그녀의 제사장들은 성소를 더럽히고 율법을 침해한 자들이로다.
Her prophets [are] light [and] treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
5. 의로운 {주}는 그것의 한가운데 거하며 불법을 행하지 아니하고 아침마다 자신의 공의를 가져와 빛에 이르게 하며 쇠하지 아니하거늘 불의한 자는 수치를 알지 못하는도다.
The just LORD [is] in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame.
6. 내가 민족들을 끊어 버렸으므로 그들의 망대가 황폐하게 되었고 내가 그들의 거리를 피폐하게 하여 지나는 자가 없게 하였으므로 그들의 도시들이 멸망을 당해 사람이 없고 거주민이 없게 되었느니라.
I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant.
7. 내가 이르기를, 네가 반드시 나를 두려워하고 교훈을 받으리라. 그리하면 내가 아무리 그들을 벌하였다 해도 이처럼 그들의 거처가 끊어지지 아니하리라, 하였으나 그들은 일찍 일어나 자기들의 모든 행위를 썩게 하였느니라.
I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, [and] corrupted all their doings.
8. {주}가 말하노라. 그러므로 내가 일어나서 그 탈취물에 이르는 날까지 너희는 나를 기다리라. 내가 왕국들을 모으고 민족들을 모아서 그들 위에 내 격노 곧 내 맹렬한 분노를 다 부으려고 결심하였나니 온 땅이 내 질투의 불에 소멸되리라.
Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination [is] to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, [even] all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
9. 그때에 내가 그 백성에게 순수한 말을 돌려주어 그들이 다 {주}의 이름을 부르며 한마음으로 그를 섬기게 하리니
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
10. 내게 탄원하는 자들 곧 나의 흩어진 자들의 딸이 이디오피아의 강들 건너편에서부터 내게 헌물을 가져오리라.
From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, [even] the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.
11. 그 날에는 네가 네 모든 행위로 인해 부끄러워하지 아니하리라. 네가 그것들로 내게 죄를 지었느니라. 그때에 내가 네 한가운데서 네 교만을 기뻐하는 자들을 제거할 터이므로 네가 다시는 내 거룩한 산으로 인해 거만하지 아니하리라.
In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
12. 내가 또한 고난을 당하고 가난한 백성을 네 한가운데 남겨 두리니 그들이 {주}의 이름을 신뢰하리라.
I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.
13. 이스라엘의 남은 자들이 불법을 행하지 아니하고 거짓을 말하지 아니하며 그들의 입에 속이는 혀도 보이지 아니하리라. 그들이 먹고 누울지라도 아무도 그들을 두렵게 하지 아니하리라.
The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make [them] afraid.
14. 오 시온의 딸아, 노래할지어다. 오 이스라엘아, 크게 외칠지어다. 오 예루살렘의 딸아, 마음을 다하여 기뻐하며 즐거워할지어다.
Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
15. {주}가 네 심판을 제거하였고 네 원수를 쫓아내었노라. 이스라엘의 왕 곧 {주}가 네 한가운데 있으니 네가 다시는 재앙을 보지 아니하리로다.
The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, [even] the LORD, [is] in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.
16. 그 날에 사람이 예루살렘에게 이르기를, 너는 두려워하지 말라, 하고 시온에게 이르기를, 네 손을 늘어뜨리지 말라.
In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: [and to] Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.
17. 네 한가운데 계시는 {주} 네 [하나님]은 능하신 이시니 그분께서 구원을 베푸시고 너로 인해 기뻐하며 즐거워하시고 친히 사랑하시는 중에 안식하시며 너로 인해 노래를 부르고 기뻐하시리라, 하리라.
The LORD thy God in the midst of thee [is] mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
18. 내가 엄숙한 집회로 인하여 슬퍼하는 자들을 모을 터인데 그들은 네게 속한 자들이니라. 그 집회에 대한 모욕이 그들에게 무거운 짐이 되었느니라.
I will gather [them that are] sorrowful for the solemn assembly, [who] are of thee, [to whom] the reproach of it [was] a burden.
19. 보라, 그때에 내가 너를 괴롭게 하는 자를 다 없애고 다리 저는 여자를 구원하며 쫓겨난 여자를 모으고 그들이 수치를 당하던 모든 땅에서 그들이 칭찬과 명성을 얻게 하리라.
Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.
20. 그때에 내가 너희를 다시 데려오리니 그때는 곧 내가 너희를 모으는 때라. 내가 너희 눈앞에서 너희의 포로 된 것을 돌이킬 때에 너희를 땅의 모든 백성 가운데서 명성과 칭찬을 받는 자로 삼으리라. {주}가 말하노라.
At that time will I bring you [again], even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.
