1. 네가 {주} 네 [하나님]의 음성에 부지런히 귀를 기울이고 내가 이 날 네게 명령하는 그분의 모든 명령을 지키고
행하면 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 땅의 모든 민족들 위로 너를 높이 세우시리라.
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe [and] to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2. 네가 {주} 네 [하나님]의 음성에 귀를 기울이면 이 모든 복이 네게 임하며 너를 따라잡으리니
And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3. 네가 도시에서도 복을 받고 들에서도 복을 받으며
Blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the field.
4. 네 몸의 열매와 네 땅의 열매와 네 가축의 열매와 네 암소의 번식과 네 양 떼가 복을 받고
Blessed [shall be] the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5. 네 바구니와 쌓아 둔 것이 복을 받으며
Blessed [shall be] thy basket and thy store.
6. 네가 들어와도 복을 받고 나가도 복을 받으리라.
Blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out.
7. {주}께서 너를 치려고 일어나는 원수들을 네 얼굴 앞에서 쳐서 패하게 하시리니 그들이 너를 치러 한 길로 들어와
네 앞에서 일곱 길로 도망하리라.
The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8. {주}께서 명령하사 네 창고와 네 손으로 하는 모든 일에 복을 내리시고 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 네게 주시는 땅에서 네게
복을 주시리라.
The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9. 네가 {주} 네 [하나님]의 명령을 지켜 그분의 길로 걸으면 그분께서 네게 맹세하신 대로 너를 굳게 세워 자신에게
거룩한 백성이 되게 하시리니
The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10. 땅의 모든 백성들이 네가 {주}의 이름으로 불리는 것을 보고 너를 두려워하리라.
And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11. 또 {주}께서 네게 주리라고 네 조상들에게 맹세하신 땅에서 {주}께서 네 재물과 네 몸의 열매와 네 가축의 열매와 네
땅의 열매를 많게 하시며
And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12. {주}께서 너를 위하여 자신의 좋은 보고 즉 하늘을 여사 네 땅에 제 때에 비를 내리시고 네 손의 모든 일에 복을
주시리니 네가 많은 민족들에게 꾸어 주며 꾸지 아니하리라.
The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13. 또 {주}께서 너로 하여금 머리가 되고 꼬리가 되지 않게 하시며 위에만 있고 아래에 있지 않게 하시리니 내가 이 날
네게 명령하는 {주} 네 [하나님]의 명령들에 네가 귀를 기울이고 그것들을 지키고 행하면 그리하시리라.
And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do [them]:
14. 너는 내가 이 날 네게 명령하는 말들 가운데 어떤 것에서든지 떠나 오른쪽으로나 왼쪽으로나 치우치지 말고 다른
신들을 따라가며 그들을 섬기지 말지니라.
And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, [to] the right hand, or [to] the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15. 그러나 만일 네가 {주} 네 [하나님]의 음성에 귀를 기울이지 아니하여 내가 이 날 네게 명령하는 그분의 모든 명령과
법규를 지켜 행하지 아니하면 이 모든 저주가 네게 임하고 너를 따라잡으리니
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16. 네가 도시에서도 저주를 받고 들에서도 저주를 받으며
Cursed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and cursed [shalt] thou [be] in the field.
17. 네 바구니와 쌓아 둔 것이 저주를 받고
Cursed [shall be] thy basket and thy store.
18. 네 몸의 열매와 네 땅의 열매와 네 암소의 번식과 네 양 떼가 저주를 받으며
Cursed [shall be] the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
19. 네가 들어와도 저주를 받고 나가도 저주를 받으리라.
Cursed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and cursed [shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out.
20. 네가 악을 행하여 나를 저버렸으므로 {주}께서 네 손으로 하는 모든 일에 저주와 고통과 책망을 보내사 마침내 너를
멸하시고 속히 망하게 하시며
The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21. {주}께서 네 몸에 역병이 붙게 하사 네가 가서 소유할 땅에서 마침내 너를 끊어 소멸시키시고
The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
22. {주}께서 폐병과 열병과 염증과 심한 화상과 칼과 마름병과 곰팡이로 너를 치시리니 그것들이 너를 따라가서
마침내 너를 멸하리라.
The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
23. 또한 네 머리 위의 하늘은 놋이 되고 네 아래의 땅은 쇠가 되며
And thy heaven that [is] over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee [shall be] iron.
24. {주}께서 먼지와 티끌을 네 땅에 비처럼 내리시리니 하늘로부터 그것이 네 위에 내려 마침내 너를 멸하리라.
The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
25. {주}께서 너로 하여금 네 원수들 앞에서 패하게 하시리니 네가 그들을 치러 한 길로 나가 그들 앞에서 일곱 길로
도망하며 또 땅의 모든 왕국으로 옮겨지고
The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
26. 네 사체가 공중의 모든 날짐승과 땅의 짐승들의 먹을 것이 될 터이나 그것들을 쫓아 줄 자가 없으리라.
And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray [them] away.
27. {주}께서 이집트의 종기와 치질과 딱지와 가려움으로 너를 치시리니 네가 낫지 아니하며
The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
28. {주}께서 또 너를 미치는 것과 눈머는 것과 마음의 놀라는 것으로 치시리니
The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
29. 눈먼 자가 어둠 속에서 더듬는 것 같이 네가 한낮에도 더듬을 것이요, 네 길에서 형통하지 못하여 항상 학대와
노략을 당할 뿐이리니 너를 구원할 자가 없으리라.
And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save [thee].
30. 네가 아내와 정혼하나 다른 사람이 그녀와 함께 누우며 네가 집을 건축하나 그 안에 거하지 못하고 네가 포도원을
세우나 포도를 거두지 못하며
Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
31. 네 소를 네 눈앞에서 잡으나 네가 그것을 먹지 못하고 네 나귀를 네 얼굴 앞에서 폭력으로 빼앗겨도 도로 찾지
못하며 네 양들을 네 원수들에게 빼앗길 터이나 그것들을 구해 줄 자가 없으리라.
Thine ox [shall be] slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass [shall be] violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep [shall be] given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue [them].
32. 네 아들딸들을 다른 백성에게 주고는 네 눈이 종일 그들을 바라보고 애타게 그리다가 쇠하나 네 손에 힘이 없으며
Thy sons and thy daughters [shall be] given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail [with longing] for them all the day long: and [there shall be] no might in thine hand.
33. 네 땅의 열매와 네 모든 수고의 열매를 네가 알지 못하는 민족이 먹고 너는 항상 억눌리고 짓밟힐 뿐이리니
The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
34. 이러므로 네가 볼 것 즉 네 눈으로 보는 것으로 인하여 미치게 되리라.
So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
35. {주}께서 고치지 못할 심한 종기로 네 무릎과 다리를 치시되 발바닥에서부터 정수리까지 치시리라.
The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
36. {주}께서 너와 네가 네 위에 세울 네 왕을 너나 네 조상들이 알지 못하던 민족에게로 끌어가시리니 네가 거기서
다른 신들 곧 나무와 돌을 섬기며
The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
37. {주}께서 너를 데려다가 함께 살게 할 모든 민족들 가운데서 네가 놀랄 일과 속담과 웃음거리가 되리라.
And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.
38. 네가 많은 씨를 들에 가져갈지라도 메뚜기가 그것을 먹으므로 적게 거두며
Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather [but] little in; for the locust shall consume it.
39. 네가 포도원을 세우고 가꿀지라도 벌레가 그것을 먹으므로 포도즙을 마시거나 포도를 거두지 못하며
Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress [them], but shalt neither drink [of] the wine, nor gather [the grapes]; for the worms shall eat them.
40. 네 모든 지경 내에 올리브나무가 있을지라도 올리브 열매가 떨어지므로 네가 기름을 네 몸에 바르지 못하리라.
Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint [thyself] with the oil; for thine olive shall cast [his fruit].
41. 네가 아들딸들을 낳을지라도 그들이 포로가 되므로 네가 그들을 소유하지 못하고
Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
42. 네 모든 나무와 네 땅의 열매는 메뚜기가 먹어 치우며
All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
43. 네 안에 거하는 타국인은 너보다 훨씬 높게 되고 너는 매우 낮게 되며
The stranger that [is] within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44. 그는 네게 꾸어 줄지라도 너는 그에게 꾸어 주지 못하리니 그는 머리가 되고 너는 꼬리가 되리라.
He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
45. 또 네가 {주} 네 [하나님]의 음성에 귀를 기울이지 아니하고 그분께서 네게 명령하신 그분의 명령과 법규를 지키지
아니하였으므로 이 모든 저주가 네게 임하고 너를 따르며 너를 따라잡아 마침내 너를 멸하리니
Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
46. 그것들이 너와 네 씨에게 영원토록 표적과 이적이 되리라.
And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
47. 모든 것이 풍족한데도 네가 기뻐하며 즐거운 마음으로 {주} 네 [하나님]을 섬기지 아니하였으므로
Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all [things];
48. {주}께서 너를 치려고 보내실 네 원수들을 네가 섬기되 주리고 목마르고 헐벗고 모든 것이 궁핍한 가운데 섬기리니
그가 쇠 멍에를 네 목에 씌워 마침내 너를 멸하리라.
Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all [things]: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
49. {주}께서 멀리 땅 끝에서 한 민족을 데려오사 빨리 나는 독수리같이 너를 치게 하시리니 이 민족은 네가 그 언어를
깨닫지 못하는 민족이요,
The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, [as swift] as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50. 용모가 흉악한 민족이라. 그들이 노인들을 돌아보지 아니하고 어린것들에게 호의를 베풀지 아니하리라.
A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
51. 그가 네 가축의 열매와 네 땅의 열매를 먹어 마침내 너를 멸하고 또 너를 위하여 곡식이나 포도즙이나 기름이나
네 암소의 번식이나 네 양 떼를 남기지 아니하고 마침내 너를 멸하리라.
And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which [also] shall not leave thee [either] corn, wine, or oil, [or] the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
52. 그가 네 모든 성문에서 너를 에워싸고 마침내 네가 신뢰하는 너의 높고 견고한 성벽을 네 온 땅에서 헐며 {주}
네 [하나님]께서 네게 주신 땅의 모든 성문에서 너를 에워싸리니
And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
53. 네 원수들이 너를 괴롭게 하려고 너를 에워싸며 곤경에 빠뜨릴 때에 네가 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 네게 주신 네 몸의
열매 곧 네 아들딸들의 살을 먹으리라.
And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
54. 그러므로 너희 가운데 유순하고 아주 연약한 남자라도 자기 형제와 자기 품의 아내와 자기가 남길 자기 자식들
중의 남은 자들에게 눈을 악하게 뜨고
[So that] the man [that is] tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
55. 자기가 먹는 자기 자식들의 살을 그들 중 누구에게도 주지 아니하리니 이는 네 원수들이 네 모든 성문에서 너를
괴롭게 하려고 너를 에워싸고 곤경에 빠뜨릴 때에 그에게 아무것도 남은 것이 없기 때문이니라.
So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
56. 또 너희 가운데 유순하고 연약한 부녀 곧 연약하고 유순하여 자기 발바닥을 땅에 대려 하지 아니하던 자라도 자기
품의 남편과 자기 아들딸에게 눈을 악하게 뜨고
The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57. 또 자기 발 사이에서 나오는 어린것과 자기가 낳을 자기 자식에게 악하게 뜨리니 이는 네 원수들이 네 성문에서
너를 괴롭게 하려고 너를 에워싸고 곤경에 빠뜨릴 때에 그녀가 모든 것이 부족하여 은밀히 그들을 먹을 것이기
때문이니라.
And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all [things] secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.
58. 네가 만일 이 책에 기록된 이 율법의 모든 말씀을 지켜 행하지 아니하고 이로써 {주} 너의 {하나님}이라 하는 이
영화롭고 두려운 이름을 두려워하지 아니하면
If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
59. {주}께서 네가 당할 재앙과 네 씨가 당할 재앙을 놀라운 것으로 만드시리니 그 재앙이 크고 오래가며 질병이 심하고
오래가리라.
Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, [even] great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
60. 또한 그분께서 네가 두려워하던 이집트의 모든 질병을 네게로 가져다가 네 몸에 붙게 하시며
Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
61. 또 {주}께서 이 율법 책에 기록되지 않은 모든 질병과 모든 재앙을 네게 내리시리니 마침내 네가 멸망하리로다.
Also every sickness, and every plague, which [is] not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
62. 너희가 하늘의 별들같이 많았을지라도 네가 {주} 네 [하나님]의 음성에 순종하려 하지 아니하므로 남는 자의 수가
많지 않으리라.
And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.
63. {주}께서 너희에게 선을 행하시고 너희를 번성하게 하시기를 기뻐하신 것 같이 {주}께서 너희를 멸하시며 망하게
하시기를 기뻐하시리니 네가 들어가 소유할 땅에서 너희가 끊어져 뿌리가 뽑히리라.
And it shall come to pass, [that] as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
64. {주}께서 너를 땅의 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 모든 백성들 가운데로 흩으시리니 네가 그곳에서 너와 네 조상들이 알지
못하던 다른 신들 곧 나무와 돌을 섬기리라.
And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, [even] wood and stone.
65. 또 이 민족들 가운데서 네가 평안을 얻지 못하며 네 발바닥이 안식을 얻지 못하고 {주}께서 거기에서 네게 떨리는
마음과 쇠약한 눈과 슬픈 생각을 주시리니
And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66. 네 생명이 네 앞에서 의심 중에 드리워질 것이요, 네가 밤낮으로 두려워하며 네 생명을 확신하지 못하리라.
And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
67.네가 두려워하게 될 네 마음의 두려움과 네가 보게 될 것 즉 네 눈으로 보는 것으로 인하여 네가 아침에는 이르기를,
저녁이 되었으면 좋겠다! 하고 저녁에는 이르기를, 아침이 되었으면 좋겠다! 하리라.
In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
68. 또 {주}께서 너를 배에 실어 전에 내가 네게 말한 길 곧, 네가 다시는 그 길을 보지 아니하리라, 하던 그 길을 통해
너를 이집트로 끌어가시리라. 거기서 너희가 너희 원수들에게 남자 노예와 여자 노예로 팔릴 터이나 너희를 살
자가 없으리라.
And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy [you].
