[바이블 애플] KJV 흠정역 디모데전서6장
1. 멍에 아래 있는 종들은 다 자기 주인들을 모든 존경을 받기에 합당한 자로 여길지니 이것은 [하나님]의 이름과
그분의 교리가 모독을 받지 않게 하려 함이라.
Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and [his] doctrine be not blasphemed.
2. 믿는 주인이 있는 자들은 그들이 형제라 해서 얕보지 말고 오히려 잘 섬길지니라. 이는 그들이 신실하고 사랑받는
자요, 은택에 동참하는 자이기 때문이라. 이것들을 가르치고 권면하라.
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise [them], because they are brethren; but rather do [them] service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
3. 만일 어떤 사람이 다른 식으로 가르치고 온전한 말씀들 곧 우리 [주] 예수 그리스도의 말씀들과 하나님의 성품에
따른 교리에 동의하지 아니하면
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, [even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4. 그는 교만하여 아무것도 알지 못하고 오히려 논쟁과 말다툼을 좋아하는 자니라. 이로써 시기와 다툼과 욕설과 악한
추측이 생기며
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5. 또 마음이 부패하고 진리가 없어 이득이 하나님을 따르는 것이라고 생각하는 사람들의 비뚤어진 언쟁이 생기나니
너는 그러한 자들로부터 떠나라.
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6. 그러나 만족하면서 하나님을 따르는 것은 큰 이득이 되느니라.
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7. 우리가 이 세상에 아무것도 가지고 오지 아니하였은즉 아무것도 가지고 가지 못할 것이 확실하니
For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and it is] certain we can carry nothing out.
8. 먹을 것과 입을 것이 있은즉 우리가 그것으로 만족할 것이니라.
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9. 그러나 부유하게 되고자 하는 자들은 사람들을 파멸과 멸망에 빠지게 하는 시험과 올무와 여러 가지 어리석고
해로운 욕심에 떨어지느니라.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10. 돈을 사랑함이 모든 악의 뿌리이니 어떤 자들이 돈을 탐내다가 믿음에서 떠나 잘못하고 많은 고통으로 자기를 찔러
꿰뚫었도다.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11. 그러나, 오 [하나님]의 사람아, 너는 이것들을 피하고 의와 하나님의 성품과 믿음과 사랑과 인내와 온유를
추구하라.
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12. 믿음의 선한 싸움을 싸우며 영원한 생명을 붙들라. 그것을 위하여 너 역시 부르심을 받았고 많은 증인들 앞에서
선한 고백을 고백하였도다.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
13. 모든 것을 살리시는 [하나님]의 눈앞에서와 본디오 빌라도 앞에서 선한 고백을 증언하신 그리스도 예수님 앞에서
내가 네게 명하노니
I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and [before] Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14. 너는 우리 [주] 예수 그리스도의 나타나심이 있을 때까지 점도 없고 책망 받을 것도 없이 이 명령을 지키라.
That thou keep [this] commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15. 그분께서 자신의 때에 그 나타나심을 보이시리니 그분은 찬송 받으실 유일한 권능자이시요 왕들의 [왕]이시며
주들의 [주]시니라.
Which in his times he shall shew, [who is] the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16. 오직 그분께만 죽지 아니함이 있고 그분은 아무도 접근하지 못할 빛에 거하시며 아무도 그분을 보지 못하였고
또 볼 수도 없나니 그분께 존귀와 영존하는 권능이 있기를 원하노라. 아멘.
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power everlasting. Amen.
17. 이 세상에서 부유한 자들에게 명하여 그들이 마음을 높이지 말고 확실치 않은 재물을 신뢰하지도 말며 오직
살아 계신 [하나님] 곧 우리에게 모든 것을 풍성히 주사 누리게 하시는 분을 신뢰하게 하고
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18. 또 선을 행하게 하며 선한 일들에 부요하고 베풀기를 좋아하며 기꺼이 나누어 주게 하라.
That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19. 또 다가올 때를 대비하여 자기를 위해 좋은 기초를 쌓게 할지니 이것은 그들이 영원한 생명을 붙들게 하려 함이라.
Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
20. 오 디모데야, 속되고 헛된 말장난과 또 거짓으로 과학이라 불리는 것의 반론들을 피하며 네게 맡긴 것들을 지키라.
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane [and] vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
21. 그것을 내세우던 어떤 자들이 믿음에 관하여는 잘못하였느니라. 은혜가 너와 함께 있을지어다. 아멘.
디모데에게 보내는 첫 번째 서신을 브루기아 파카티아나의 수도 라오디게아에서 써서 보내다.
Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace [be] with thee. Amen. to Timothy was written from Laodicea, which is the chiefest city of Phrygia Pacatiana.]
